Thanks for watching all those years of TZ reviews over at CA. Expect more content like this, right here in the future! A video about what happened to The Twilight Zone after Rod Serling will be posted soon.🎃
For me, Rod Serling is the finest writer for television ever, and it's not close! He had a unique vision of, and for humanity. He put our weaknesses on full display, while never forgetting to show the goodness that man is truly capable of when challenged. His singular brilliance of being able to manage that fragile juxtaposition keeps his memory alive today and forever.
It sucks Rod never got to see the fruits of his labor blossom like it has in the last couple of decades. The twilight zone was more than just a tv show for people. His stories and lessons speak more today than it ever has and im sure he wouldve never guessed we would be analyzing his creation on a tiny glass screen. They will still be talked about even 100 years later. Rod was always trying to find his magnum opus but little did he know, he had already had it. Rest easy Rod. Your genius will never be forgotten, even in the darkest pits of the twilight zone.
I just remembered, during the 1990's, Steven Spielburg had an anthology series named "Amazing Stories" which definitely had "Twilight Zone" influences.
I didn't think that it would affect me this much but I'm off my meds so it has. The Twilight-Tober Zone has been a wonderful series, Walter. Thank you so much for doing this. You made the Twilight Zone come alive and brought back a hundred memories. For four years, this has been something that I looked forward to all year. I love your insights, trivia, appreciation for Rod, the cast, and crew, even the running gags. I don't always feel good and right now, I feel awful but this series is a testament to not only the series itself but their fan's dedication to it. It's been a wonderful journey and I am glad to share it with you.
I'm happy to have shared it with you, Julie. The response from people discussing thoughts and memories of The Twilight Zone really took me aback as the series continued on. I hope you feel better!
"It's the way it goes" *goes* LMAO. Rod was always pushing the boundaries of critical thinking and social commentary, I'm sure he inspired so much social progress unknowingly
The tragedy of Rod Serling was he could've given the world about 25 to 30 more years of great writing if he had ever not smoked or stopped smoking. I have to go back and count all the scenes in this video where he is holding a lit cigarette. His smoking caused his need for a coronary bypass which led to his passing. I was a Twilight Zone fan from the first episode on. We used to have Twilight Zone TV get togethers in high school when the show aired on Friday nights. He wrote brilliantly consistently. There were some unforgettable episodes.
Thank you for these past few years, Walter. I had already heard of Twilight Zone back in high school, but I feel like you were the one who properly introduced me to the show. Twilight-Tober Zone was not only my spooky season "comfort show" but it's helped me appreciate filmmaking and writing, as well as the people behind it, a lot more. I'll likely rewatch my favorites next time I venture into the analytical depths...of the Twilight-Tober Zone.
fun fact my grandfather and Rod Sterling were paratroopers together during World War II. Whenever my dad was a kid and the Twilight zone was first airing, my grandfather would always nudge my dad, point to Rod and say "I used to jump out of airplanes with that guy."
Awwwwww... :( I miss Rod all over again. I always loved his narration, but also his heart in what he said. He made the Twilight Zone as captivating as the actually stories!
You should definitely check out the original '63 show "The Outer Limits". It also has some eerie episodes with moral themes, most notable being "Nightmare".
I thoroughly enjoyed the Twilight-tober Zone. I already loved the Twilight Zone as is but when you started this journey into the fifth dimension I fell in love with it again. So I beg of you Walter to please cover the other Twilight Zone series. I'm always open to hear more about my favorite TV series ever.
Rod's biggest gift to the world was reminding all of us that imagination has no age limit no matter how old you are. You're never too old for imagination. Just look at the episode "Kick The Can"
Beautifully done. Cigarettes killed Rod. he was a serious chain smoker and it breaks my soul in two that he died so young when he had SO much more life in him. Thank you Walter for doing this episode. This, to me, is the closing segment for Twilight Tober!

I don't have any plans for another month long series right now. I'd like to try other stuff, but I'm sure I'll cover a few things there in some form.
Unfortunately the cigarette took away great legends in my life. It’s an irony in itself
so many great lives end early. remember kids, vaping might be easier on your lungs, but nicotine's still gonna blow your heart out someday.
It's no good.
I love Night Gallery. I have it on DVD. Apparently the famous ending of The Planet of the Apes is Rod's idea. Any chance you will talk about the Twilight Zone movie? Because there's a lot to talk about there.
I go over a bit of the movie in my next video. More detailed commentary in the future, I'm sure.
@@WalterCulture Awesome!
ah is this an intro to you going through all the night galleries?
I won't be doing that, but I'll likely talk more about the show in the future!
@@WalterCulture ok, ill go back and watch some night galleries tho - but yeah I know it wasnt as much HIM in those
The guy died at 50, after looking 50 since he was 20.
What your next tv show review.
Not sure at this point. Might want to try talking about some movies I've been putting off.

Rod Sterling was a very talented writer who really got ripped off for his Amazing work.
It’s the end of an era Walter. This year being the end of Bat-May and Twilight Tober Zone. Watching videos like those really help me out during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for watching! Happy to hear the reviews helped.
Why not do Alfred Hitchcock presents and hour on this channel in the future
46 too old 😂😂😅😅💀💀
Different time.
We pronounce Binghamton as "Bingumton" around the area. Nobody says the H.
Did the best I could. Haha. I was having an issue saying "New York" after. I tend to over-pronounce when I'm having trouble.
@WalterCulture
It's a common mistake if you're not from around it.
fine toupee for it's time
I am surprised he died of heart complications, given he was a smoker and I thought that might have killed, yet not🤔.
It was a contributing factor combined with family history.
