I've owned my GTR for almost 3 years and all this info is 100% correct. You know the car very well, great video!
I'm about five weeks into ownership of a 2024 Premium. This video has a lot of good info. When I first started it at the dealer I asked the salesman if it was broken...lol Makes tons of noises. My trans is really smooth. Only launched it twice though. Factory top speed is 200mph now. Your FBO is going beyond that or run out of gear.

Buying a built car has its drawbacks. Could be buying a problem. Doing it yourself gives you peace of mind

If never could get my car to launch it feels like when u push the brake paddle and the accelerater it doesn't ref up it feels like the transmission is keeping car from reffing up it wants to move farward refs don't go up to 3.5 so I rather leave it

His comment about the cba transmission clips is not correct. The issue IS resolved by istalling the clips which is a super cheap procedure. The clips cost 50 bucks and you can literally install them yourself. I did it. So those clips are NOT the issue, they are the solution to the solenoid issue that some cars had. I never had the issue but installed them anyway.

@@Eastcoastgarag3 he might, but he definitely said it wrong. The clips are definately not the issue. They were designed to fix the problem with those solenoids.
Not every GTR average Temp is 175. It completely depends on Tune and before i got my 2014 STAGE 3 tuned GTR AND MY AVERAGR TEMP IS 195-200 and I have 53000 miles on it. But when i was in Japan for 4 years I had a R32 and a R33 with thr 2.8 litter in it and those cars average temps were always over 200 so it depends on tune and thermostat and what year your gtr is
@@bryanallen1981 it would also depend on driving habits and ambient temp, I don't think the owner was trying to say all of these would run around 175 no matter what
that's not what i said, i was referring to an average lower thermostat temp which these cars absolutely have!
@ModularTurboINC this is now my 4th Nissan GTR. 2 in okinawa Japan and now 2 here in the United States. MY first 2014 got recked by another car in the snow but I have never seen one run that low. So like the other gentlemen said with my statement it also has to so with where you live woth humidity and elevation with tune exc....then before responding back I needed to know if I was wrong. So I went out to my Nissan Chilton book and looked online nothing says they run at a lower temp actually optimum temp is around 195 according to nissan. Any performance car I have seen run that low consumes fuel but hey maybe you want yours that low your choice. If I am wrong please show me!!!
I have a 1000hp gtr and my average temp is exactly 177 while cruising
He's from east coast? I'm from New York I have a 2020 gtr 1000hp I don't know many people who own one around here
He is pretty far from you in north eastern North Carolina. There are a few R35s around here but not a whole lot. Yours sounds nice!
@Eastcoastgarag3 ohh I thought he was closer lol it's always nice to have some gtr friends around for a crazy ride, no many around here this cars are rare whith is good

@davidthomson692 Honestly, no one is shifting as fast as this dct transmission. Technically, it's a manual without a clutch pedal and shifter. I feel you tho, I enjoy driving a manual.
@@Eastcoastgarag3 there is a massive amount of skill, brain power and energy needed to successfully thro a manual rocket ship around a track as u know.

Gtr trans are made of glass mate Anything over 650 torque and your playing russian roulette. If you dont go over that torque and its tuned correctly you have a car that will last a long time. But you can always send the trans to sheps or dat le and they can upgrade it for ya before you break a gear. Buy once cry once.
