also btw i realized somtimes you may need to get your front motor mount checked out cause i was hearing they go bad somtimes on TC's and that if it vibrates like way too much they thats usually the issue.
You have to remove the window switch from the door and then once you have that out, you take it apart abs you’ll find a small motherboard inside. On that little motherboard there are tiny LEDs that you have to desolder the old ones off and re solder on the new LEDs. The link should be in the description for the types of LEDs used.
@edward its all good man if you wanna put the cubby light ii say you take the carpet off easiest way to do it idk if its on this video or not havent seen it in a while but what you basicly do is find a push pin as ii call em not sure what there called but do it on the passenger side its twards the back of the cubby light youll feel it on the carpet once you find jt you jjst basicly pull it out itll kinda hard at first after you take that off youll be able to remove the cubby light from the back you gotta kind jjst fill around for it but its jjst like any bulb like the headlights youll jjst twist it and pull out and wala you got it jjst remember its not that long so dont try to bring it all out from under there
i used the exact same ones in the Gauge clusters and HVAC unit, the size is PLCC-2. You can buy them on Ebay, i got a strip of 50 Blue leds for $4.50, also got 50 white and 50 red for the same price $4.50.
These are small tiny LEDs that must be de soldered from the board and then new ones will be soldered on with small resistors. Links in description should give more info.
HELP!?! I was wondering if you know what I need to change out my led lights in the front dash? It's an 07 scion, u had mentioned a site but I'm not exactly sure what they are called on the website. Thanks :)
Really great video, totally want to do this next to mine. Quick question maybe you could help...trying to put new covers on my back seat and cant figure out how to take it out or pop that bench up...is there an easy way? thanks hope that made enough sense
yes, sorry i took a little while to get back to you. Ill try to describe it as best as i can. ok so first there are 2 tabs that you have to pull that releases the seat from the floor. if you are sitting in the front drivers seat and look directly back at the rear seat, under the cushion where the passenger would sit behind you theirs a tab. you have to lift up the cushion a little but you'll see what should be a white ring that you can stick your finger in and pull away from the seat which should release it freeing the seat up. if you got anymore questions just ask! hope i helped!
also consider within 5 years of the owner having that car he only drove it 33K miles which is 6600 miles a year , it could of had been sitting alot and when cars sit, batterys die, things can get dirt and rust quicker, engine oil might not of been changed as much it all depends really on who owned it and how it was previously driven and stored.
hey man, I'm hoping maybe you can help me. I'm trying to make my own shift knob, but i don't know the thread size. D you happen to know? i have an 07 automatic tc
I am not sure what the threading is but they sell tools to measure threads to get the exact measurement. I just googled it briefly to see what I could find to help you out. this is what I found. Auto: 8mm x 1.25 Manual: 12mm x 1.25 hope this helps!
the board has the OEM stock resistors, you have to order different resistors so the blue LED will be brighter. the OEM resistors are too strong of a resistance and the blue LED will be very dim with them.
Preciate the video bro, I don’t know if you still have that car or even if you still use this channel but I’m having trouble trying to figure out how after you unscrew the shifter and after you pop off the main center console, how do you pop off the shifter console? Are there clips on the side? Should it be hard to take off? Thank you in advance
Yeah if you have all the screws out you'll feel it is kinda tight still but it does pull out, there's clips that hold it snug in place you just gotta pull and it will come out
can you make a vid on how you changed the door lights
could you make a vid on how to change the shifter light please?
also btw i realized somtimes you may need to get your front motor mount checked out cause i was hearing they go bad somtimes on TC's and that if it vibrates like way too much they thats usually the issue.
Hey Vinnie T, can you explain how you replaced the window button lights? And where I can buy the led bulb for that, thanks.

This is great man, gonna do the same to my tC. Question though, how did you change the dash display lights??

@@cindycook4555 this is explained in the video.
I know these videos are old. But did you ever make a video on how to change the cubby light??
What size lights are in the dash and door switches?

what are the lights bulbs called for those that are in the gear shifter and the one behind it?
how you put the cluster lights in
You have to watch the video, it requires soldering.

You can put the link to the dome light and the map light please?
yes just click the links in my description
thanks for the video... do you know how to install bluetooth mic for headunit
I dont think you can with a stock headunit . Your prolly going to need to get an aftermarket one.

Very helpful video. One question, when adding the led lights in the HVAC board, are the resistors already on the board or do I have to purchase one?
the board has the OEM stock resistors, you have to order different resistors so the blue LED will be brighter. the OEM resistors are too strong of a resistance and the blue LED will be very dim with them.
Hey nice job, wanted to know if you had to change resistors on the door switches?
if i remember correctly i didnt have to use any.
Kool Thanks
How did you remove the parts on the gear shifter to get to the led??
very carefully haha
hey man does your tc start to vibrate when you turn on the a/c?

welcome man!
Hey nice car. I wanted to know what LED's did you use for the gauges and door switches?
yes that is normal because your engine will start working harder to keep the engine cool while blowing cold air into your car.
Automatic cars have other light in the shifter man on my manual I dont
Geovannie Lugo yeah the manual TCs just have shift boot, but I’ve seen people change the boots out for something more fitting to their style.
Thanks bro!! Hey my cubby light dont turn on wat kind of lightbulb is it for the cubby light?
