I bought a Vanquish a few weeks ago. I'm absolutely clueless as far as metal detecting goes but I have found some incredible coins and relics just in a few weeks! It's a great machine!

I just got a Vanquish 440. It took about a week to get to know the tones. I found a silver ring two days ago with it and some clad. I went back to the same permission and found older coins. I’m liking it.

what do you do with rings? I mean do you get them valued by a jeweller?

I was out swinging the vanquish 540 today, had a pretty good day Found a bunch of stuff. Just by chance I found this old video of yours from two years ago of you metal detecting with the vanquish 540 for the first time...and you said you REALLY liked it! 👍 It was really wierd watching you swing that vanquish so much slower than you do now with the other detectors.

i love my simplex but man, the tones and blips of minelab machines are just so smooth and soothing to listen to. Looking forward to trying one myself! keep on keepin' on brotha!

Matthew Nelson I think the simplex is still a contender I wouldn’t think it would be an upgrade more of a side grade I don’t own the simplex I have the vanquish and I have a fisher f22 with the 11dd and they both have there pros and cons

It really boils down to what tones you prefer. If you like the awesome tones of a Minelab. I would strongly avoid purchasing a Vanquish. You can get a used nox 600 for just around $300 and have a waterproof machine. If it starts raining and you are swinging a Vanquish; YOUR DAY IS DONE.

Paystreak Superfreak I’m just curious where can I find a equinox for 300$ I shop around online like eBay and metal detector shops quite a bit and I’ve never seen one that cheap unless it was missing something like just a control box

@@PaystreakSuperfreak Use the freaking cover! And research what machine fits to your needs! Minelab never claimed it is waterproof. You seem to be a impatient person, going a bit too fast.

I have the 340 and 540 pro pack. Wait until you have the opportunity to try the 8” coil. Very nice video as usual!

Yeah the Vanquish is a fun machine, it will go deep and find the targets, I am really liking the xp-orx as it's vdi is very reliable and the dang thing is light, being that I blew my right shoulder years ago and it did not heal, I got to switch from right to left constantly after a few hours of detecting, tomorrow I will be using a T2 Lte with a 5" coil at the school just for the heck of it:)
    have fun

none of my friends has ever had an ORX. That is what is good about having many MDing buddies, You can usually borrow a machine before you buy one.I had a T2 for a few months. I loved that machine until the power knob had a short that made the machine turn off then back on real fast. All the settings would default with out me noticing it all of the time. The Simplex park mode tones are very similar to the T2 tones

@@PaystreakSuperfreak Yeah my T2 was my go to last year but it can not handle stress very well, my screen has like twelve permanent black spots similar like dead pixels, it still works but another manufacture I no longer trust, why is because for a couple years they advertised the t2 limited edition having a back light when in fact it does not, really pissed me off so i tied a mini light above the grip so I could hunt at night lol

The Vanquish is a lot better than the Simplex. I have a 540 and a simplex and the simplex sits on the sidelines. Vanquish is VERY UNDERRATED. Simplex might be waterproof but that is all it has over the minelab.

May I ask what brand of shovel you use? Your plugs always look so nice.

I have the Simplex+ and its a great metal detector, but the Vanquish 440 will go at least 3 inches deeper than the Simplex+ and has just as fast recovery.

Yea, I always wonder that too lol. Seems a lot of older detectorists swing so much maybe it's their hearing going out 😂

Because after a while you know by the sound and the numbers whether it's worth digging or not.
