SRECs are very confusing and you've done a great job explaining them. Now to find more videos getting into details of selling privately vs. through a brokerage to get the most for SREC credits my home would generate (I'm in the shopping phase of finding that right company to install panels for me for great value) but hope to be a solar system owner this year!

You can sell them yourself using a DIY service like Flett Exchange. However, there are still fees associated with that. Our customers have the option to sell them on their own, or we can handle that process for them. The main advantage to using a broker or having your installer sell them is they have a pulse on the market, allowing them to sell at the best time. You said the the current value in Virginia is $40-$50 per SREC. Then you say this will decline over time. Can you explain more on this decline? Is this speculation or is there legislation that lowers the value in the future?

That is mostly speculation based on what we've seen in other states. As the supply of the SRECs increases, prices will decline due to lower demand. There is also the possibility of legislation changes, but that's hard to predict.
