I agree. I met him back in '96 when I worked with his brother. We hung out for a bit and I remember when he was leaving, he said he appreciated the fact that I didn't make a big deal about him being famous. I jokingly said "oh, you're famous?" and he got a real kick out of that.

He was awesome in Hunger Games. Really made the character of Haymitch come alive. I had my doubts before watching the movie but Woody dispelled them all easily.
I held off watching those movies for many years. I'm glad I did. Those movies show exactly how to write a female character. The Hunger Games were movies I needed as new in a time of woke political correctness, overhyped feminism. I finished watching the last just 20 minutes ago. Woody was phenomenal. His swagger and delivery warranted more screen time. I'd watch a Hunger Games prequel spinoff with Woody.

Qualifier: I have many relatives who use marijuana daily, recreational, occasionally, I also have used in the past. Your statement may have been true 30-50 years ago, not so with the current strains, potency above 24 (THC) creates very different response, in once peaceful users. The withdrawal behavior is more pronounced, and can/has lead to abuse/violence. The rates of addictions has increased significantly, it's not as easy to just stop using. I have seen tremors, violent outbursts, depression, agitation, etc.... I would not recommend alcohol or any other substance, with the potential for addiction.
Marijuana of today is not the natural herb it once was.

I remember seeing Woody in Park City, Utah. An outdoor festival was going and out of the crowd a guy climbs the few steps that reached the stage where a band was playing. It’s a long time ago so vague in my memory, but as I recall Woody starts jamming with the band. Vocals for sure, harmonica maybe? Anyway, was so casual and spontaneous and fun as we started to recognize it was Woody Harrelson. What a talented and real guy. Party animal!

There's a story told by the White House plumber who was commissioned by LBJ to up grade the shower in his private bath. He wanted multiple shower heads added and he wanted very high pressure, and the plumber had to redo the shower several times until it met LBJ's standards. When finished, the plumber got in the shower and tried it out. He said it was the most painful torturous thing he ever experienced. Now that's gotta make you wonder what a man has to do to feel that dirty.
