- As daily newspapers are decimated by hedge funds, who will perform the public watchdog function protected by the First Amendment? Dave Krieger, the former editor of the Daily Camera, asks a very important question on ownership of newspapers Dave Krieger has been a Colorado journalist since 1981. He joined the Rocky Mountain News that year as a City Hall reporter and covered the 1983 race for Denver mayor in which Federico Peña upset favorites Bill McNichols, the three-term incumbent, and Dale Tooley, the longtime district attorney, by covering the city with yard signs that urged a new generation of Coloradans to “Imagine a Great City.”
Krieger then took a quick 30-year detour into the nomadic life of a sportswriter, covering the Broncos, Nuggets, and four Olympic Games. Ultimately, he earned his own column, which he authored until the day the 150-year-old Rocky closed its doors in February 2009. His column appeared in the Denver Post the day after the Rocky closed and was published there through January 2012. From there he moved to KOA radio, where he teamed with Dave Logan to form the afternoon drive tandem until June 2014. Bezos doesn’t own Huffington post, but a writer there was reprimanded for speaking poorly about working conditions for Amazon so there are likely ties
the trilateral commission owns all media outlets along with members of the world economic forum. The FCC controls what can and can't be said on american television. It's all scripted, it's all all disseminated through our government. You should however look at the early life section of all the owners of these companies on.
