I playing the hell out of PlayStation Home... I made a couple friends from it, and usually got on when I was board or didn't feel like like playing games but chat with others online. It was even my "escape game" when I felt depressed one day. It's sad to see it leave, but I guess it's for the best.

+AFGuidesHD It's been over a 2.5 years since I played. I remember I used to love the Casino. Also there were certain places where you could leave the map if you tried hard enough. On the Godfather map you could get behind the bar if you jimmied glitched yourself up the railing and shimmied across the platform. Then you had to make the jump right behind the bar. If you missed you had to start all over again which isn't easy. I used to love Bartending there and getting 100 people asking me "how did you get back there?!?" I would show a lucky few and feel a sense of pride to witness them finally achieve it. Can't remember the other place, but there was a city next to a concert stage. There was a way to get over the barricade and get behind the map to reach the secret location behind the map. However it was full of what we called "blue pit of death." You step on the wrong spot and you would fall in a indefinite pit.
+Niceguy3210 But the beta was really cool and had lots of clothes, locomotions, personal spaces, public spaces. Everything from Star Wars and Harry Potter to normal clothes and spaces. Only bad thing about it was the loading time :P
1.5 MB = about 4 minutes of wating 5.3 MB = about 12 secconds of waiting. You know,you can say whatever you want about this game.Maybe its good,maybe its bad...But it IS magic!

Man, I really liked going on PlayStation Home in the past. The whole virtual tourism thing was definitely the thing I enjoyed regarding that! It was a lot of fun going through all these lovingly-crafted worlds, even as advertise-y as some of them got. That said, I'm glad I didn't go back just before it was gone, looked like it turned into a real seedy shithole unfortunately. Like a seaside town you loved going to time and time again because it sold its soul to gambling. Ah well, c'est la vie!
I actually had quite a lot of fun with exploring all the cool places and playing all the small games that came with it. I'm saddened that it is now gone. I even watched a pretty decent comedy horror movie for free in the theater. I want to watch it again it was so good, but I forget the title.
I used to play PlayStation home every day for a about a year when I was 8. Pretty much about 6 years ago or 7 years ago. It was fun. I spent some money on it. Probably nothing exceeding $40 over the years. I played it occasionally after that one year. I always revisited it around the holidays because it looked nice. It began to die off when they changed the central areas and took out the mall. I remember the ps home mall and the central plaza. On day one I saw the bowling alley. It would have been great to see PlayStation home on ps4 with better graphics but we can't.
This and lbp2 made my child hood. I was 8 when I played this and now that I’m 18 I just want Sony to bring this back. This game was a decade ahead of it’s time.
i was 13/14 years old when i was on this! it was the best ‘game’ i ever played along side being completely obsessed with littlebigplanet which i’ll always both cherish as part of my childhood; don’t get me started on the pshome micro transactions either it had stupidly overly priced furniture and outfits that costed £5+ but they’d have a unique animation attached to them which i’d beg my parents to pay for so my peanut shaped brain could show off how cool they were😂 not to mention talking to strangers hours on end who some actually turned into many of the best online friends you could game with everyday that are now sadly gone forever but never forgotten, i’m 23 now lol times used to be so much simpler and my generation is getting old we’re adults now..👍🏻
it depended on server loads and stuff each item could only be downloaded by about 5 - 10 people at a time so the big public areas were just a fucking ass to download because you were basically always last in the queue to download it where as the shitty places that nobody likes you could download almost instantly
Watching this genuinely made me want to cry. The sad bit about that fact is that I'm almost incapable of crying so getting teary-eyed is basically me bawling. I really miss PSH as it's part of why I wanted a PS3 and even where I made some friends. It was glorious and I really feel like they should have added it to PS4 and continued it - like Dan said they had enough ads in it to keep a lot of the place going.
I always kinda wish when servers would close down they would actually do like a event thing where you could watch the whole world burn few minutes before the servers were closed down
I know there's restoration projects, but what I would do to play this game all over again. I remember the "concerts" and all the minigames, it was amazing and no other game can recapture the feeling it had. The projects just make it feel a shell of its former self as well, such a shame that it had to go cus I would definitely still have a ps3 to still hop on it.
Why should you get it back? You spent money on something you wanted inside the game. If you buy some food at a grocery store, you aren't gonna get your money back if it spoils in two months.

Home had a bunch of potential which sony didn't bother to do much with, the idea of being able to invite friends over to listen to music or even watch a movie sounded awesome though I guess there were copyright issues that made that a bit tricky. that and the 3D trophy room that displayed actual 3D models of trophies you earned in games sounded fantastic but for whatever reason sony never implemented. the personal spaces were quite nice though, I just enjoyed going inside them and imagining living in such a place.
if anyone wants to play pshome again search destination home on youtube there is a project bringing back the game back online no microtransactions and they have a working offline version with some minigames working and most of the maps

I would argue that the Fallout Who mod for Fallout: New Vegas is the best TARDIS in video games. In fact, I would argue that it's the best Doctor Who video game content.
I'll never forget me logging in, and spawning in the Assassins Creed HQ and me walking round meeting people and then spending over $400 on it, and to see it being gone now. Is cowardly.
I Remember for a good amount of time. the Resistance place. with the air turret defence game. I was like 5th in the overall leader boards for the longest time.
it was just getting so much cool stuff like actions that played sounds, locomotives to increase your move speed, animations and lots of cool stuff and then they have to drop a truck full of sadness and tears and other bad emotions on all the players shortly after, now all my poor pets are in digital afterlife =,(
