I love mine I have prescription transitions and the Ai translation is a key feature for me when I am in Panama. The audio features are really good and I wish they would unlock landscape video.
Nice! Had a blast with then in Mexico. I think the updated will get better with the language translation. Having directions on your glasses was great! How you enjoy them 😎.
@JustBookedIt I really like them so far although sometimes I forget, wait, I could have captured that with my glasses! Really want the translation to work properly, waiting on update for sure
Loved your video amigo! Good recommendation by the TH-cam algo! New subscriber :) Also: 1. Yes, that piece of sweet bread was a concha. 2. The glasses most likely knew that you were in Mexico City because we have the 55 prefix. 3. I didn't hear "burro" lol...I heard bur or urb, maybe as in "urban"? However, it sounds gibberish to say the least, and in a really bad pronunciation, it says "Cuauhtemoc". 4. Thanks for mentioning the use case for people with visual impairments. I have low vision myself and I am now very interested in try them out, even if they are not full on ready for this, but might only be software and time to get this fully functional for low vision or blindness. Cheers from a CDMXer!
Alfred- what an amazing and informative comment. Thank you so much for watching, taking the time and subscribing! 1- Nice, glad I got that correct. 2- Super interesting I did not know that. 3- Yes they have. ways to go when it comes to pronunciation 4-I hope you are able to try them! I think they will only get better. Thanks for sharing your city! We love CDMX. ❤️
Fun video, I don't need or want them but I look at these and think at least they will still work as sunglasses after the non-replaceable battery dies in a few years and Meta discontinues the service.
😁 Yes at least I will still have a pair of Ray Bans haha. Really good point about the battery and or service being discontinued. Hopefully we get a good run out of them! Thanks for continuing to watch and comment on the videos we post! Really appreciate the support as I build the channel/community. Traveling with the Ray Bans was a fun experience! ✈️
These videos all have diffferent specs for the glasses because they have different models of the same glasses and many don't tell you which they have. Some have the first model and say it has 2 cameras. This one says he has 4 microphones and I believe mine has 5. So who knows.
The battery life is very short or none in cold/freezing conditions. I´ve been using my Meta glasses daily since May. My glasses are prescription glasses.
hmmm I wonder if they will work when I travel to Quebec? Another thought, one of the best South Tucson Mexican restaurants I ever ate was a local restaurant run by folks from Mexico. Will these glasses find such a local spot? Good review for future technology!
Potential issues: losing my glasses, falling off head, stealing, scratching, distractions while walking (traffic), and probably, most importantly, algorithmic flattening of travel joy by eliminating establishments found organically and not to mention potential susceptibility of meta to recommend only businesses that pay for ads etc.
Yes, I agree with you on the ability to find places organically. That is a joy of travel that should be protected. Also a good point with meta recommending places based on ads. I am sure it will come to that. Appreciate the thoughtful and insightful comment. Thanks for watching!

I agree! Once they figure out landscape video that will be great!
Got them for xmas, looking forward to traveling with them as we frequent Mexico

Fun video! Just being able to translate signs and menus would be awesome. Thanks for a good laugh
Appreciate the comment! I agree, translation with a pair of glasses is a huge benefit while traveling.
I’ve had a pair since January & love them. They keep improving them with OS revisions.
Thanks for the comment. I agree! Have you used them while traveling at all?
I think this guy went to the Casey neistat School of TH-cam filming

great video

I bought these pads from TikTok Shop that attach to the nose lifts on the glasses and I have no more fear of then falling off
Love it! Thanks for the tip.

I normally replace my prescription glasses every two years.

Trunk off the "Hey Meta" and access AI with a long press. I get a lot more battery length
@@jstanovic How much more, doing that?
Such a great tip! Thanks for sharing.
@@jstanovic Seems that the AI does not work in Finland, what if I put the glasses back to factory mode and give them a new home in the US?
@yp31118 the glasses last all day on "stanby" mode, waiting for your command in "touch" mode.
phone number area code gonna give away your location

Thanks for the kind words! If they could find local spots like that it would be amazing! Not sure if the tech is there yet. Appreciate the comment.
i am from fiverr i am checking your video
I think chain link fences are ugly.
I can always count on you David! I agree!
