Indeed these late 1970's songs have aged well and sound as modern and futuristic today as did back then. People who know electronic music and synths can tell these are early synths with that distinct and delightful digital analogue sound. Many bands and artists like Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and Jean Michel Jarre then Gary Numan were inspired by Kraftwerk who at the time overcame the limitation in technology by creating their own instruments. Today artists who want that early analogue sound use sampling and MIDI keyboards to recreate that sound.
@@wellsbron6883 There wasn't any new version in 1980. They released The Robots in 1978, later, they extracted this mix in 1991 for "THE MIX" in 1991. That's all. Any other version would be a live performance version (which they do really amazing).
Its a pity they changed "роботник" into "работник" in modern video versions - "роботник" was a nice wordplay. "I am your servant, I am your worker" is dull, this common used slavic phrase turns into - "I am your servant, I am your robo-worker" which is much more interesting. One who wrote them this text in 70s was genious, i wonder why they change it now
@@wmonk5642 Ralf wrote the lyrics for The Robots. In an interview he mentioned that he studied Russian for 2 years in school. That's why I believe that he wrote the Russian lyrics for Pocket Calculator and The Robots.
the sound of this track is probably the most perfect I've ever heard. These sounds could be easily used today.

I remember seeing this video on MTV Amp back in the mid 90's.
When I get my first robot it will be programmed to speak in a german accent.
The captions were in Russian.
Kraftveerk Volts-vaaagen. Big shout to the German's for pioneering electronica music.
My introduction to Kraftwerk as an 18 year old. One of the best and most influential tracks of electronic music track.
watching this when i was 10 years old and was exalted though the first version is from 1977
Not from 1977. First version from 1978.
The second version was in 1980 this video here

esto si es música electrónica
An excellent rework of 1978 version done in 1991.
Robots at the party after a hard-working week.
Nice electronic and futuristic music.
All hail the robots from Kraftwerk! The forefathers of electronica music.

Best version beside the original
Maybe this is one of the first lyrics video ever.
Hmmm
Hmmmmm that makes me think
Kraftwerk and Jean Michel jarre Great eletronics nostalgics.
don't forget Giorgio Moroder and Vangellis
my father's favourite track when he was a teenager
Ah this is the version I first heard. 2nd best version other than the original. Funky vs straight both great.
The line "Я твой слуга, я твой работник" is wrong, on clip is "Я твоu слyга, я твоu роботнuк", letter "г" is mirrored
And word "роботник" used - as some new unknown robo-worker ;)
Robotic. RIP Florian Schneider 😢
nostalgia
Excellent classic...the best electronic
Fantastic!
I wonder what will AI think about this video within a couple of decades, once they take full control.
La mejor música electrónica
2:10 *Well, they were close.
@TAY1DN // GaryNuman&KraftwerkFan2006 "I am your servant/slave; I am your worker" I think. I don't speak Russian, I just heard that on another video

Ragam theatre thrissur❤️❤️❤️❤️
The things you can do with simple kitchen tools... So DIY
