The first italian verse (especially when Elisa said "how big was our dream") awoke an old painful memory.
In 2010 I saw my soon-to-be-bride passing in front of me after spending a week in deep coma, result of a DUI running over her.
I was a fresh paramedic that time and she was gonna graduate as nurse.
Our dream was working together, side-by-side in the EMS; me as a paramedic and mountain SAR, she as an ER nurse.
I escorted her coffing to her resting place, fully geared up, wearing my operative uniform (she loved that uniform, with a big cross of the back). Before closing the lid, I ripped off my shoulder patch with my "battle name" and left it in her hands.
I fulfilled that dream, my whole career as paramedic and mountain SAR is my way to honor her memory and legacy.
Wow. The harmony she chose. This is beautiful and (I can't believe I'm saying this) actually improves on the original. It's like he is trying to move on with his life, but equally she can't move onto the next life as she can't bear to leave him behind. Gives a new perspective and it's really nice x

Please check it out about Elisa!, for me it's the best italian singer Ever! (better than Laura Pausini for my taste) she sings and talks perfectly in english the mayority of her albums are in english, so give her a chance and discover her because she is completely amazing!

I think this song is one of the most underrated songs from the new album, as well of their entire discography. As a MUSE fan, I love MUSE, doesn't matter if you are talking about "old" MUSE or "new" MUSE (my favorite albums are Origin of Symmetry and Absolution, btw), but this song is simply beautiful. Piano and voice, nothing else. Simply amazing. I got emotional every time I listen to it.
Adding Elisa to this song... simply the best. Give also a listen to birds, by Imagine Dragons, they also have a version with her. Beautiful as well!! I didn't knew about you, but you've earned a new subscriber ;)

Comacchio durante l'estate si popola di tantissimi turisti, sia per i suoi 25Km di spiagge, sia per l'ambiente naturale in cui è immersa (le bellissime Valli di Comacchio, piene di storia, che assieme al Parco del Delta del Po fanno parte del patrimonio MAB-UNESCO) 😁
