NGC 660 Dom was obsessed with nirvana and introduced Matt to them. Chris liked them as well and it was just that era. Grunge was not really all that popular there to my knowledge I believe, and they were put off for years because they were said to be copying Radiohead, which pissed them off to no ends. No one would take them seriously and they were called the joke Radiohead cover band
I'm not Muse's number 1 fan.... but I'll drive 5 hours to see them. They put on an astounding show... likely the best concert for visual elements you can find. Crazy talented band, even if I only dig the singles :P
I've seen them 5 times now, the last time was last month in Paris and I live 5 hours away. I drove, watched the concert and drove back right after :) Things we do for love ...
I've seen live twice so far, last time in June this year. I'm definitely going to see them again, even if I had to drive for more than 5 hours. They are worth the drive and every cent you pay for the ticket.
Nice! next time will be number 4 for me :) That being said, a 5 hour drive in Canada is just a daily (round trip) commute to work for some - whereas you might have crossed international borders and been considered insane for being in a car that long lolololol - well done!
I feel so lucky to have seen Muse live The most beautiful concert I’ve ever been to.Their staging is out of this world. And Matts voice 😍😍😍. They had ‘Nothing but thieves’ as their support so it was two huge voices.
The C6 she is talking about it's from live shows and also are his highest notes (Agitated Belfast 2015 (C#6) and Knights Live O2 2012 (C6)) both notes are higher than anything on Micro Cuts which is a G#5, this place is shared with Showbiz and Survival.
Fun fact, he originally didn't want to sing and when they recorded their first album, he ordered everyone to leave the studio so he could sing on his own. Just think what we could've missed
I saw an interview where Matt was asked about that, the interviewer said something like "with your voice, and you didn't WANT to be the singer?!" And Dom broke in and said , "wellllll...Matthew didn't always sound like this, so..." It was pretty funny :)
YES! This 70-year young Grammy has seen MUSE perform in concert 6 times, so far. They’ve been my favorite band since 2009, when I accidentally discovered them on iTunes. Impossible to have a favorite MUSE song, though. There are so many great ones!
FINALLY! MUSE honestly means everything to me , I can't even describe what their music does to me without getting emotional ! Matt Bellamy is a musical genius! I finally saw MUSE live for the first time in june and it honestly was the best experience of my life! ♥
Hannah P.S same, I saw them live for the first time in march and it was AWESOME, I can’t even describe how epic that was. Definitely my favorite band of all time!
It's got to be the Montreux Jazz Festival version from 2002 though. I think that is his best performance of that song. Not just singing but the guitar too.
'My body parts were going in places I didn't know they could. That was so orgasmic.' Literally me anytime I hear Matt sing. He has a voice that we do not deserve.
I've always listened to matt's singing as if he's mimicing a guitar in a way. All the bends and vibrato's to me really feel like the style choices of a guitar player coming out
This is an absolutely genius observation. I've been a Muse fan for a decade, yet I've never noticed this. Awesome comment. Oddly enough, he's first and foremost a piano player. Obviously, he's a man who understands different musical instruments, his voice included.
Oh. Absolutely! As a guitarist, that's an excellent observation. Listen to Muscle Museum and the "guitar solo", it's actually him singing through a distorted Marshall amp. Should have been obvious from as early as that moment.

I feel so lucky to have already seen Muse live 8 times! They are extraordinary! and I even listened to the wonderful "unintended" live. it's so good to hear someone like a vocal coach telling that they are actually good indeed and not only for me...I am so going go see them as many times as I can! probably one of the best live bands we have around at the moment ♥ thank you Rebecca!

His voice gives me chills all over my body. It's so much passion...in his voice... he's truly incredible. I love muse. Omg Matt is the only person I want to see in concert😢😭❤ one day.
I went to my first concert this year and it was Muse. Best money ever spent! The concert was incredible, they were incredible. Matt’s voice was consistent throughout the concert. Highly recommend whenever you get the chance to see them 😁
How on Earth did I miss this notification!! Anyway.. Seen Muse live a few times now. Shivers all over from the first note to the last and will have you dancing like nobody's watching and reeling for a week after. Love. Love love love. Love. Unintended is one of the most precious love songs to me. Mr Bellamy here just is a genius and so talented as are Dom and Chris too. Yes I'm having a fangirl moment here, sorry, carry on.
I love your honest emotional reactions to real performances by truly amazing vocalists, I spent the first 25 years of my adult life as an audio engineer (live and broadcast), not many voices have ever honestly stood up to what I've heard myself from Matt Bellamy. I also would very much like you to contemplate, if you havent already, my two other favourite male rock vocals, The late Sirs Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington. Having experienced them both in the flesh, I truly believe you will be able to find performances of theirs that will bring you to tears. Loving your work from down in Australia. Sub'd and cheers! Just found you on the TH-cam, Muse’s Matt has an amazing singing style and such a range. Check out “kill or be killed” for Matt highest and lowest notes. Got to see them live, their stage shows are a festival for the eyes and ears. Put it in your bucket list.
Saw Muse live earlier this year and I got to say it has been one of my favorite concerts I’ve been to! I sang my heart out to all his songs and I cried at the end of the night of how happy I was to experience that ❤
wow, he played the intro to Diary of a Madman. That was the intro. Listen to Diary of a Madman. It's exact for like 6 chords in a row then he splits off into a different progression.
I always "take for granted" his voice, and this reminded me like holy shit, it's really amazing. now I really want to listen to a bunch of Muse. also, gotta mention how cute your cat is!
"Butterflies & Hurricanes" is an amazing song, and the best video is from the Wembley Stadium concert you were just watching (back in August 2019). You may have heard that one before (he plays a beautiful classical piano solo in the middle of it), but it's a great vid if you haven't heard the song yet.
Rebecca, you should go to a Muse concert, after visiting a Muse concert, every other band you will see will look like amateurs hahahhahaha. I`v seen them for 3 times now..great!!!
Way way back they were the opening act to Bush, I was blown away, and I think me and my friend were the only ones who knew their songs. One of my favourite bands, got their first CD autographed after one shows at a festival, they where all so nice.
Oh Matt Bellamy has one of the best voices ever. It's just effortless. You NEED to see Muse live - you won't regret it, only that you didn't see them sooner.
Muse is, easily, my favourite band and one month ago, after being a fan for like 8 or 9 years, I had the pleasure to see them live and oh my god he is just a beast, he's voice live is just amazing and powerful, so thank you for this reaction, love you ❤️ Ps. Could you do Sing for absolution? It's their song too
I've seen Muse six times now and they've blown me away at every single gig. To this day they're the only band I will go out of my way to see on every tour!
I’ve seen them live, twice. Got to meet them once. Back in 2010, in Atlanta. They were the nicest guys. I’ve seen a lot of concerts in my 53 years, none have come close to MUSE.
Oh my God go see them live I saw them in June and it was one of my favourite experiences ever. It feels as though you and the tens of thousands of people are one. So beautiful and real.
I was at that concert and was so pleased he sang this song as it's one of my favourites. I've seen muse 7 times now and it's the only time I've heard it live. Goosebumps though the whole song.
People complain that you talk too much? Isn’t that how vocal coach ‘reaction’ videos should be? I sure enjoy your videos and your presentation style (to me you come across as sincere and heartfelt!) Thanks for your videos!
@@rva Thank you; to you too! Plus,I'm sometimes not sure what your facial reactions reflect :-). Although I'm guessing if you didn't speak, you'd still have viewers. Just a guess. Best to you and congrats on your success!
Thank you for reacting to Muse, they're so amazing :') Def see them live if you have the chance, such amazing concerts :3 I had a ticket for this summer and then I couldn't go FML :( And no don't apologize for pausing & explaining, there are enough reactors out there just nodding along, I'm here because I appreciate your insight & explanation :) We can just listen to the song after watching your vid ;)
love the song...great singer love Muse, always have and iam sooo glad you are reacting to muse....love to watch you react to great voices and watch your emotions take over...keep it real !!!!
I saw them 3 times and i know that every times they will come in my country for a gig i will go. I fall in love with his voice when i was a kid and now i just can't stop listen him. His voice is so unique.
Like... it‘s so freaking impressive because live, he sounds the same as on studio recorded audios, on cd. After every single concert I went, I was even more impressed because... yeah I don’t know what to say... his voice reaches from F#2 to D6... I mean, not even his voice is amazing. The way they work together, produce their music and their creative work is insane! They know exactly what they want and work until they’re satisfied. And how every album tells a different story is absolute amazing. I really love them and they’re inspire me with every album.
I absolutely love muse! So melodic, yet rocky at the same time. I’m going to learn this song right now. Love the break down and use of your hand to show what you mean. Visualising that helps to slide onto the notes, I will use that imagine to help with smooth transitions. Oh and I obviously subscribed 😊😊👌🏽
Jesus... Just so you know, Matt was asked about reaction videos like yours and he’s a big fan of them... I would guarantee that he has or will see this... keep up the good and honest work. Peace and love...Long Island NY
Amazing band. Love this song. I've only ever seen Muse live once, sadly. Over 20 years ago now, in May 1999 at a small venue in Cardiff. My God, how time flies! They hadn't even released an album yet so I wasn't sure what to expect, but wow! They were supporting the band 3 Colours Red and I was blown away by them. Their first 3 albums are still my favourite. I haven't been as keen on some of their more recent albums but their most recent one, Simulation Theory, is probably my favourite of theirs since Absolution. Matt Bellamy has an amazing voice and is such a brilliant musician and songwriter. I hope I get to see them live again one day but I can't stand huge stadium or massive arena gigs which is why I haven't bothered to see them again. I doubt they'll ever be playing tiny venues again though, anytime soon, so I'm glad I saw them when I did! :)
Very different singer, but similarly amazing, also amazing vocal range: TOM CHAPLIN of KEANE!!! He had a … problematic technique in terms of breathing in their early years, but he's just SO SO GOOD now, he just got better and better over the years.
@@beckychamberlainmusic Thanksss for agreeing :)!! You wrote "had" - hope you're aware he still has a sensational voice! He's back with Keane, new album out since last week and all, sounding better than ever in my opinion. Am in fangirl heaven
Katharina A. Sorry, yes I did mean has!! I’m actually watching Keane tonight in Manchester, I’m so excited to see them again!! The new album sounds amazing, it’s so good to hear them all back together again
@@beckychamberlainmusic Uuuh great :) :), tonight, so basically any minute now?! Have so much fun! I'm from Germany, and I'm a bit sad I'm missing out on their UK tour, but I saw them three months ago in Berlin (amaaazing) & hope they'll announce a proper European tour soon, can't wait!
Massive muse fan, been a fan since their first single. just seen them for the 11th time on their simulation theory tour, these guys put on one hell of a show and they keep getting better and better
Mate if you continue to break down muse songs the way you do... You gotta sub for life, the way you talk about the emotion of the song really hits me differently, so thanks for making my day, it means alot
You are one of only two people on all of you tube who has reacted to this song. I don't understand this as "Unintended" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Thanks for doing this reaction. 🎵🎶🎹🎙🎼🥁🎧🎤
I’m such a big fan of Muse, the intensity of their songs...ooohhh. And Rebecca’s comment in the end....my dream was to be a singer...I wish I knew someone like her when I was younger...
YOU DEFINITELY HAVE TO ATTEND TO ONE OF THEIR CONCERTS, I have been able to attend to 5 times to see them and have been the best concerts i have ever been to, its been said the have the best tour in the last couple of years since the technology and visual arts/ effects they have are the best, and I give proof of that!!!
I've seen U2/ZooTV, Rammstein, Metallica and others, but the Drones tour was the best arena live gig i've ever seen. At the start, the crowd were almost stunned into silence by what they were seeing and hearing. It just blew everyone away.
I've thought for years that Matt and Thom Yorke had similar vocal qualities. Glad to see I'm not the only one. The first Muse song I ever heard I thought it was a new Radiohead tune.
Tbh they're the biggest influences on my music. I love the hamronies in muse, they're so beautiful, ethereal even, and I love the bizarre chord progressions and dark dissonance found in radiohead. So much beauty in both.
runninglyrics - not many harmonies in their music. It’s mostly all Matt, although Chris does background vocals. Dom can’t sing, and doesn’t, by band consensus. 😊
Seen Muse live 10 times over the years and was lucky enough to go to Wembley stadium twice! What an amazing and incredible band they really are! Thank you for showing your appreciation of them!
Been to this overwelming Muse Concert in Berlin 2 days ago. Nearly 2 hours of 1rst. class music. Saw them 6 or 7 times , followed their developpment and I'am still a huge fan. Matt's vocals are out of this world and the rest of the band is professionalism pure!!! Coming home i wanted to throw my keyboard and my guitar away (I did'n't but will not touch them the next days....) :-) Rebecca: you are really entertaining the way you judge. Thank you!
Muse are such a fantastic, fabulous band to discover! All 3 members are just oozing with raw talent! Their melodies alone are just so soaring and emotional and powerful! And the lyrics are absolutely riveting and poetic! And the way they deliver it all, the way they play and sing is just.... out of this world! The bassist (Chris Wolstenholme) also has a beautiful voice, Dom, the drummer, doesn't sing, sadly. But, he doesn't really need to, because he more than makes up for it with his wonderful drumming that's equally as tasty, tasteful, and delicate as it is powerful, brutal, and raw. And Matt's abilities on the guitar are as strong and lovely as his vocal abilities, too! And the same goes with Chris and HIS vocals and bass playing! Here's a couple tunes with Chris on lead vocals: th-cam.com/video/lDjSDqkyQeA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/zV8yLLphihk/w-d-xo.html Chris is my most favourite bassist (I myself play bass guitar aswell.) I've learned a lot about how to play simply from listening to what he does, and what Matt does on the guitar aswell, and I like to incorporate a lot of their melodies and phrases into my playing style :D
Your excitement is gorgeous! Not something to apologize for. I recorded a video recently and was stunned to see how differently I sound and appear than how I thought I presented myself. Of course, I've been in videos with family and friends but it was the first time I really paid attention to my composure and articulation and that sort of thing. Even if it's just for yourself, record a video on your phone and study it objectively. It's incredible how much more comfortable you can become with yourself if you see and hear what other people see and hear.
“Ive been following muse, I know they formed in 2004”... well considering they formed in 1994 and released their first album in 1999 I don’t think you’ve been following them too much 😂😂
We actually had our first band collaborations via international phone calls in 1983. They were too young to come to USA , and in 1989 we had our first band Christmas and all the songs we were working on by phone UK and USA we're decided up into our outlined course to take over the music world. Haaa and with each album we released we added to and expanded our list of songs. We generally listened to classic music and opera in our earliest days while we were putting albums together. Matt's voice has such power , he reaches upwards and sustains like no other . totally amazing......
Since I found ur channel recently I want u to know I always watch u when I’m stressed or upset and I cheer right up! The mix of beautiful music and ur wonderful personality just does the trick each time :’) 💖 much love rva!!!
No, you don't talk too much Becca.....its why I'm here and follow you.....intelligent, informative yet so funny at times. Not a Muse fan, but like the odd song like "Knights of Cydonia". Matt Bellamy has an amazing voice and range. Love you, pretty gurl xxxx
Rebecca! You are brilliant! ❤ It's so overwhelming to see other person react with all her heart to the song of my favourite band! 😍 lots of love! My suggestion: Knights of Cydonia (Live @ Wembley)
They formed in 1994! :)
I thought so, since I first heard them in 1998.
they didn’t really release anything important until 1999 though
Didn't they almost start out as a Nirvana cover band or something, very cool.
My birth year 😆
NGC 660 Dom was obsessed with nirvana and introduced Matt to them. Chris liked them as well and it was just that era. Way way back they were the opening act to Bush, I was blown away, and I think me and my friend were the only ones who knew their songs. One of my favourite bands, got their first CD autographed after one shows at a festival, they where all so nice.
Amazing. I envy you
2004? Haha, they had been rocking for 10 years by that time, with 3 awesome albums already released.
Omg the muse!!! So happy you did this song his voice is breathe taking I listen to them when I have to travel
Oh Matt Bellamy has one of the best voices ever. It's just effortless. You NEED to see Muse live - you won't regret it, only that you didn't see them sooner.
Muse is, easily, my favourite band and one month ago, after being a fan for like 8 or 9 years, I had the pleasure to see them live and oh my god he is just a beast, he's voice live is just amazing and powerful, so thank you for this reaction, love you ❤️
Ps. Could you do Sing for absolution? It's their song too
I've seen Muse six times now and they've blown me away at every single gig. To this day they're the only band I will go out of my way to see on every tour!
One of the things that always rocks my soul about Muse is that they sound near identical live to in studio recording. Absolutely phenomenal to see
I’ve seen them live, twice. Got to meet them once. Back in 2010, in Atlanta. They were the nicest guys. I’ve seen a lot of concerts in my 53 years, none have come close to MUSE.
I saw them twice!A must see live experience!Great reaction BTW!
And they formed as band in 94 under the name rocket baby dolls 😁
What song is this?
Unintended it's on the showbiz album
People complain that you talk too much? Isn’t that how vocal coach ‘reaction’ videos should be? I sure enjoy your videos and your presentation style (to me you come across as sincere and heartfelt!) Thanks for your videos!
Haha I know how boring otherwise. Bless. Merry Christmas
@@rva Thank you; to you too! Plus,I'm sometimes not sure what your facial reactions reflect :-). Although I'm guessing if you didn't speak, you'd still have viewers. Just a guess. Best to you and congrats on your success!
Oh Rebecca, I could watch you react to paint drying and it would be worthwhile
Seconded...
😂🌈
Thank you for reacting to Muse, they're so amazing :')
Def see them live if you have the chance, such amazing concerts :3
I had a ticket for this summer and then I couldn't go FML :(
And no don't apologize for pausing & explaining, there are enough reactors out there just nodding along, I'm here because I appreciate your insight & explanation :)
We can just listen to the song after watching your vid ;)
Matt is a real génius, nobody can come close to doing what he does so beautifully.
Omg you're so adorable I'm so glad I came across this!! He has such an incredible voice!!
love the song...great singer love Muse, always have and iam sooo glad you are reacting to muse....love to watch you react to great voices and watch your emotions take over...keep it real !!!!
☺
I saw them 3 times and i know that every times they will come in my country for a gig i will go. I fall in love with his voice when i was a kid and now i just can't stop listen him. His voice is so unique.
Muse is hands down one of the best concerts I’ve seen. They’re incredible
Like... it‘s so freaking impressive because live, he sounds the same as on studio recorded audios, on cd.
I personally think their song Dead Inside has some of Matt's best vocals ever... You should do the studio version!
Thanks! Hi to Matt if he does watch ! 💖🌈
I've never seen Muse live but I'd love to 😁 they always sound wonderful live and I love their music 😅
Matt Belamy sings like a violin in this song I love MUSE 💜💜💜💜
I love muse they are just such a great underrated band his vocals are amazing best band I have watched live for sure
What song is this?
OMG YES! finally a video about him! ❤️ also, your cat is adorable!!😍
Very different singer, but similarly amazing, also amazing vocal range: TOM CHAPLIN of KEANE!!! He had a … problematic technique in terms of breathing in their early years, but he's just SO SO GOOD now, he just got better and better over the years.
Yes yes yes!!! No one ever talks about Tom Chaplin, or even knows who I’m talking about when I mention him, but he had a sensational voice
I love it when you talk, it feels like we're sitting with you in the same room
Muse is fantastic live. Top notch production and their playing/vocals are flawless. You must see them.
See, now I know you're a good person. You like Muse, so you're alright. Bless your heart.
Seen them live. Twice! So talented and lovely!
Alter Bridge - Words Darker Than Their Wings (LIVE)
Glisern yesss yesss yessss please!!!
i know someone probably said this but muse goes back to the late 90s, and good lord strike me down if they weren't ahead of their time
Dear RVA: You don't talk too much!
IF one wants to listen to the song - just do it!
We are HERE to listen to YOU, dear Rebecca. At least I am!
Mate if you continue to break down muse songs the way you do... You gotta sub for life, the way you talk about the emotion of the song really hits me differently, so thanks for making my day, it means alot
Please make a reaction on Bliss at reading festival 2011!
I was at Reading 2011, but bliss at reading 2006 though...
Reaction for *Megalomania* Live *2008* !
Theres no video...but I hope you guys have heard Bliss live at Earl's Court 2004
"Bliss" makes me feel bliss for no apparent reason, that's an experience in a song.
Omg I was there. They played origin of Symmetry in its entirety. Highest I've ever been without drugs
You are one of only two people on all of you tube who has reacted to this song. I don't understand this as "Unintended" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Thanks for doing this reaction. 🎵🎶🎹🎙🎼🥁🎧🎤
Great song. Has a lot of Thom Yorke vibes going from around The Bends era.
I’m such a big fan of Muse, the intensity of their songs...ooohhh. And Rebecca’s comment in the end....my dream was to be a singer...I wish I knew someone like her when I was younger...
Please, Micro Cuts, Space Dementia or Supremacy maybe ♥
Micro Cuts was the one I thought about when she talked about high notes.
My favorite muse song ❤️I hope I can hear it at a concert one day 😭
I've thought for years that Matt and Thom Yorke had similar vocal qualities.
You don't talk too much! People are here to listen to your comments on the music, people who complain are in the wrong place :)
Thank you!
you should react to "feeling good", "new born" and "plug in baby" by Muse😂 Its so amazing
Haven't seen them live?!?!!! They are wonderful.
His voice is truly another instrument.
Here's a couple tunes with Chris on lead vocals: th-cam.com/video/lDjSDqkyQeA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/zV8yLLphihk/w-d-xo.html
Chris is my most favourite bassist (I myself play bass guitar aswell.) I've learned a lot about how to play simply from listening to what he does, and what Matt does on the guitar aswell, and I like to incorporate a lot of their melodies and phrases into my playing style :D
“Ive been following muse, I know they formed in 2004”... well considering they formed in 1994 and released their first album in 1999 I don’t think you’ve been following them too much 😂😂
Yeah I was thinking Showbiz was realised in the late 90’s. My favourite album growing up has good was origins of symmetry

Lovely to hear thank you 💚
No, you don't talk too much Becca.....its why I'm here and follow you.....intelligent, informative yet so funny at times.
