Turok and Perfect Dark I was never able to play them in the N64, Metroid Prime 4 and new Zelda look awesome, and I must say I am excited about Tales of the Shire
I'm stunned all the Marvel VS games are coming to Switch and PS4. Those games were stuck in Disney legal hell for years and it's so great to see them finally free.
@@jmz2144That would be a heavy lift of a port to mt framework on switch hardware, but I am confident we will see it and mvcu in the future as a volume 2. The Switch really is the little engine that could. It's punched way above its weight with some games no one thought it could run. And 7 years in we're still getting some bangers.
I see a lot of people complaining, and I don't get it. What more could we all possibly have expected at the very end of a console generation? This was a god tier Direct
I agree with you on this, I think a disappointment that some may have had was no Zelda remakes, the new Zelda looks interesting, I wonder if I will like it.
It's genuinely one of their better Directs ever - I feel for Donkey Kong fans, he absolutely deserves a 3D title on the console but today's not the day - the Zelda game where you play as her was a MASSIVE surprise, the Mario & Luigi Brotherhood looks fun, Mario Party is always a joy and Metroid Prime 4 is FINALLY coming, this was a banger. Mio also just seems to scratch that Hollow Knight itch and I'm SO ready for it.
Within the first 20 minutes of the direct I thought "I'm gonna go broke," and it kept going! Announcing amazing games, so excited for so many games after watching that.
Really good Direct overall, in my opinion anyway. SwitchUp doing a reaction video is awesome, definitely something you guys should do more of in the future. I’m absolutely friggin psyched for the MvC collection, those are some of the best 2D fighting games ever made, and they have some of the most beautiful 2D graphics I’ve ever seen.
Idk if it's just me or not but I've waited for so long to get Metroid Prime 4 that this reveal trailer just didn't do it for me. Rather underwhelming... I suppose I just expected too much. The most exciting thing for me was Metal Slug Attack. The new Zelda game looked like they just used assets from the Links Awakening remake. Rather lazy imo...
I love the look/artstyle/gameplay too!! That kind of artstyle often benefits the Switch due to the style's sort of low poly/lower quality texture work. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying the particular style I described above makes for an ugly game... far from it. Devs & game designers can do a lot with that cel shaded/low texture/water colored look. Having said all of that, I do hope that the devs can get the frame rate better in check as this new trailer shows the game in a rather poorly running state with the frame-rate seemingly never reaching above 25fps😢 Though it still is very early in development from what we know, so there is time to get the game running right.
@@SadVIadit costs a lot of time and money to make everything from scratch. MM asset flipped a ton of stuff from OOT and I personally never felt like it took away from the experience. Would you rather not have a game this year and wait for one they make from scratch?
I've always wanted you guys to do these! Too many channels do the livestream "reaction" videos which I don't like at all. I much prefer a video before the direct on random speculations and predictions AND a video after the direct having a discussion about it and not simply reacting like "oh wow there's a game". I need the banter and somewhat more thoughtful discussion. Please continue these and I'll continue to watch them. Even if it's just the post Direct discussion without predictions beforehand that would be great. 👍
Yeah i was actually a little bumped that they announced Metroid Prime 4 and not 2. I want to play the next game. But I guess Metroid is not a summer game... at least for nintendo😅
I'm so glad they're making another Zelda in the Links Awakening style. It's so charming. The only way the direct could have been better is if they announced Windwaker and TP remakes too
I kind of feel the opposite. My one hope when dealing with the NEW Link's Awakening style, was that it would never happen again. I didn't really want them to take the charm of the hand-drawn style (albeit pixelated) of the cutscenes from the Gameboy era, along with the ingame visual style which did its best to carry that feel, and throw it out in place of a cheap plastic, mobile game look. As far as I'm concerned, it's kind of a shame that another game has been tainted by it.

I don't normally follow or care much about the directs, but I must say that this one really surprised and excited me. Really promising 1st party games, plus plentiful of RPGs with NIS and SE. Obviously, a lot of farming sims that I don't care about, but surely there are lot of people who do enjoy them.
One of the best directs I've ever seen! Cannot wait to finally play dragon quest 3, HD 2D remake it's been a long wait! Also metroid prime 4! Mario and Luigi... basically every game apart from hello kitty 😂
For people complaining, how can you not be interested in any of the games?? What do you like of Nintendo if a Mario jrpg, a Metroid fps, a Zelda action-puzzler isn’t interesting? Like do you only like one franchise of the entire company and if there isn’t a game from that franchise you’re disappointed?? I like pretty much every Nintendo franchises. I of course have some I prefer (all the jrpgs, fire emblem, golden sun, mario & luigi, paper mario, earthbound.. the 2d zelda (I don’t like 3D games that much), pikmin, the 2d metroid, etc..) Also, Mario Party looks like a return to form. DQ 1-2-3 remake is crazy cool! Saga 2 remake is interesting. The Apple arcade jrpg from the Final Fantasy guy has had fantastic reviews and is very appealing too, etc. If you don’t like any of this your tastes are incredibly narrow…
I was disappointed by how Metroid Prime 4 looks. Hopefully the visuals are improved a bit before the release, but I like how dynamic the action looks. I’ll definitely buy it day 1 regardless of the visuals. Great direct overall.
Ace Attorney Investigations is huge news, as both games are arguably the least accessible of all the Ace Attorney games today. I remember playing the games on an emulator on my laptop almost 10 years ago, so I’m super stoked to see the collection released for the Switch ☺️
Great video lads , I really liked that direct . The N64 17+ on NSO is pretty cool , guess they are lining up Conker . But still missing the only X box game I want Rare Replay , but with a Nintendo twist . Oh man Marvel VS Capcom collection, super excited been waiting for something like that for so many years . Hopefully it's a physical release, I'll properly even get it for the PS5 as well
Marvel Vs Capcom 2 was on the original Xbox as well, that's where I got my love for it, and the collection will be an absolute day one buy for me just for that game alone.
Super Mario Party Jamboree was def my fav announcement! I’ve played hundreds of hours of the 2 already on Switch with friends but the boards were starting to get stale so I’m HYPED for this new game. Also a new Phantom Brave game coming out is sooo exciting and I’m glad NIS is going back to some of their lesser known franchises!
The direct was awesome. The majority of game reveals were incredible and some even surprised me. So many of the titles are coming soon too. Great job Nintendo. Thanks for this video.
Omg YES guys!!!! This was by far one of my fave directs ever. And at the end of the Switches life?! So many omg moments. For me I am verrrry excited for the Miles Edgeworth games. Zelda and Metroid ofc are amazing. Something for everyone in this Direct. GG Nintendo ❤🎉
Metroid: Zero Mission is an awesome game. I used to own it on my GBA. One of the best 2D Metroid games, hands down. And seeing Turok again gave me the nostslgia tingles, used to play this on N64 all the time.
I really enjoyed this Direct. I'm in for Mario and Luigi Brothership, and the new "Zelda". Sure Prime 4 will be cross-gen right? So buy that with the successor. Loads of stuff on the NSO to check out! I still play Sports with my daughter so basket ball will be fun (I am one of the people who bought it 😁) . Dragon Quest 3 will be a must I think, but might get that on steam (deck). MVC2 I'm tempted but would likely sit in the backlog, great set of games. Some stuff which will pass me by, cause who has the time 🤣 Great vid as usual
This direct was amazing. Really excited for the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. The first of the Edgeworth Investigation games was great and I never thought we'd see the sequel get localized. It felt like this game would be forever forgotten. Between this and the Marvel vs. Capcom fighting collection, Capcom really stole the show. Also really excited for Dragon Quest 2D-HD and Fantasian.
Farmagia looks more like a Pikmin-esque than a strict cozy farm sim game. I'm pretty interested to see Marvelous do what they do best, but take it in a new direction.
i cried when i saw the Metroid Prime 4 reveal. I just hope we get 2&3 Remastered before 4 drops. I never got to play 3 back in the day, and would love to play ot thru before continuing on to the fourth.
I agree on Metroid being a handover game for the Switch 2. When Tears of the Kingdom came out, I thought that was the game to do it since like you mentioned, BOTW was the handover from Wii U to Switch
Mario and Luigi, capcom arcade classics (about time!), new Zelda, prime 4 which I believe to be a solid look at the next hardware performance. So much good stuff coming.
MORE DRAGON QUEST!!!!! MORE ACE ATTORNEY!!!! ❤ Omg I'm so excited for all the JRPG goodness coming our way, the new Zelda game and the Marvel V.S. Capcom. I'm always up for the cozy/farming games, too. Those are some of my absolute go-to games for winding down. All in all, I'm really excited by this Nintendo Direct, especially since we're at the end of the Switch's life cycle. I do hope we get remasters of Twlight Princess and Wind Waker eventually, since I never got to play those. Hopefully, when the Switch 2 comes out, they'll consider porting those games.
What an amazing Direct!! Alot of amazing games Coming ! and wishing anyone celebrating a birthday tomorrow a great one , my daughter's 15th tomorrow Much Love ❤
I'm personally not super excited about the games they announced but I'm happy for everyone who *is* excited and objectively speaking they definitely delivered!!
Nintendo has been busy, and I love it! Metroid Prime 4 is the biggest reveal in my opinion, but I am looking forward to a new Mario and Luigi RPG, a new take on Zelda, and a new Mario Party. All said and done though, I’m blown away by the third party efforts this late in the Switch’s life cycle. I’m super excited for Darkest Dungeon 2 and Stray to be on Nintendos platform.
Guys do you think all games will be backward compatable i have games like mk11 sifu and outer wilds i wonder will they get a resolution and fps upgrade ?
Fantasian is made by mistwalker. But its being published by square enix. Its made by the creator of Final Fantasy. Hironobu Sakaguchi and music is composed by nubuo uematsu.
Yea this direct was absolutely epic. Safe to say nintendo is going to be receiving alot of my time and money with this one 🤣👍 November is gonna be a sweet birthday month 🎉
It's amazing that Nintendo had these games and leads me to believe that Nintendo will continue to support the Switch 1 with at least ports well into Switch 2s life.

Metroid for sure and mario and Luigi
Triforce heroes
Mario & Luigi, Mario Party, Metroid Prime (obviously), Zelda, Perfect Dark maybe, it was great

Metroid Prime 4, Mario & Luigi Brothership, and The Legend of ZELDA: Echoes of Wisdom were S-tier reveals for me

Having metroid 4 right next to 1 remaster and the two games in-between stuck on a 20yo console sounds absolutely ridiculous.
... and he saw that it was GOOD!
Didn't think I'd be playing Zero Mission when I got up this morning, but here I am!
Surely Echoes of Wisdom should be called The Legend of Link seeing as we get to play as Zelda 😜
What an amazing Direct!! Alot of amazing games Coming ! and wishing anyone celebrating a birthday tomorrow a great one , my daughter's 15th tomorrow
Much Love ❤
Yes 💯 🖐️ over here! This was made for ME😂 THANKS AGAIN!!!
New Mario party looks good and is what I am most excited for, behind Metroid Prime 4 of course.
Fantasian is made by mistwalker. But its being published by square enix.
Its made by the creator of Final Fantasy. Hironobu Sakaguchi and music is composed by nubuo uematsu.
Soooo excited to see Perfect Dark available
Although, I do wish it was released in the same vein as the Quake games
It definitely deserves it
I can't believe Fansatasian is finally getting out of the iOS and coming to other platforms 🥰 this game deserves to be played by more people.
Fantasian and hello kitty are both Apple Arcade exclusives. Can’t speak for Fantasian but hello kitty is a really good game.
New Zelda really looks awesome.
