Very clear and quiet, comprehensive demo. Thank you. And the product itself is a must have.👍👍
Great real life review, and a very capable unit.
Thanks for watching - certainly is a fantastic unit
Nice review.
Maverick needs to deal with his messages 😂
I wonder if it feet on a FIAT 500X Dashboard... Great vid by the way. Thank you
Real shame that the volume is on the wrong side for RHD Markets. It would be so easy to just invert the screen so that the buttons are next to a RHD driver and then have the picture appear the correct way. Great demo video thank you.
You get used to it, besides a proper install will have the steering wheel controls work it.
I haven’t found an issue with the buttons on the left, it’s only a few inches further, so your not going to be stretching for it
Très bonnes explications, très clair. Merci.
Great review. Thank you
Great video, thank you.
I don't like floating screens but I do like this unit. Is it going to fit as fixed in the dash on my Auris 2016?
just got this unit and it works great. is there a way to get youtube and netflix / amazon prime working on this unit as I noticed it is not installed from factory
Hi, does this unit support 256gb flash drive?? I have a vast collection of flac/wav and i stored them in a few 256gb thumb drives. Would be great if it does support the same.
just got this unit (2nd hand) and cannot wait to install this. Very informative and concise video. Are you aware of any issues in the wild about this that I need to be aware of?
Europe version only ? What would be the latest NA version
I have a question. Is the metallic 1 din frame included in the package?
Is the 9" measured like a TV (diagonally) or horizontally?
Any recommendations for 6.5 inch component speakers for this? I don’t want to add amps or a sub, so just a strait forward speaker swap
Does anybody know why you have to fit a GPS antenna for Apple Play?
GPS antenna was not mentioned for Android but was for Apple Car Play. Can anyone explain this please?
Can this fix 2017 honda crv
Can you leave that spacer out so the screen is closer to the dash?
Great review. I don’t have steering wheel controls and wondered whether there was a remote that worked with it?
yes there is
Will that about to fit on Honda S2000
Will the USA get this model?
what is the US version of this model?
Anyone know if you can remote mount the screen from the base unit?
you can mount the screen away from the brain of the stereo using Pioneer CA-RGB200E extension cable sold separately
I wish they had a unit where the screen can be placed separate from the unit. Do you know of such a product?
I think you can buy an extension cable to connect between the head unit and screen. Search for “Pioneer CA-RGB200E”
Don’t need one myself, so didn’t look into it.
By the way, if you are fitting one yourself, then you need to work out where the speed monitor (VSS) able connects. The VSS is important to use the Apple CarPlay features
Hey mate - nice review - does the screen tilt at all?
You have a few holes on the back to raise or lower the screen when installing, but once gutted, it’s fixed hight, unless you undo the 4 screws to adjust the hight. But their is no tilt
will this show visual aid on parking sensors?
I saw the setting in the menu today, but haven’t installed my factory fitted camera just yet, I’ll be bypassing the screen output to the unit soon
Nice review ! How do you bypass the handbrake ?
green wire to ground
@@ekimandersom4478with some units you can connect the park break wire to ground, but the pioneer units need a module to bypass the handbrake. The module is about 15USD and you just connect 3 cables to get it working
That seemed to take forever to load up, and having to clear a warning message every-time?! Nah I want to get in, turn on, hit reverse and instantly see a reversing camera not have to wait and clear a message.
What's the difference between it and the 950uni and 950uni2
Ans the 950 d1
good question!
the nr 2
its a shame that all these single din ones are so overpriced....
Just installed this for my 2006 fiat ducato campervan... couldn't have done it without your help.. instructions were awful.
How was the wiring at the back of the unit? He didn’t really show the supplied harness
Easy peasy connected straight up to the rv, only issue I have is my reverse camera doesn't automatically come on and take over which I think is due to low voltage (not the stereo fault)
I have distortion on the other camera, again I don't think this is the stereos fault either.
I'm not amazed by the interface and ease of use compared to my other pioneer stereos .
@@davidbrooke4829thanks for the additional information
How did you work out where to connect the speed monitor/VSS cable?
I’m struggling to work out where to connect the speed monitor cable, so at the moment it is disconnected, so some of the CarPlay settings are inactive
The only thing that stopped some features on mine was the handbrake cable not being connected, but this just needs grounding and that enabled all features. I didn't connect the vss cable as I assumed it doesn't do anything as this is for units with built in navigation. But please correct me if I'm being dumb.
to stop theft can you easily remove the screen !
Obviously not.
Nobody steals car radios anymore
Does it support screen mirroring ? or youtube/netflix?
Its Android s install app
@@derekgreig6905 :Its Not android. Pioneer doesn't make android ones
No DAB aerial? for a unit with DAB in the name
optional
The sticky film dab antenna is fairly easy to fit, if you need to wire the GPS and microphone, then an extra cable isn’t too taxing, if the antenna was included, then maybe the price would have been slightly higher. But I do understand your complaints.
The additional stuff like the controller for the steering wheel are more expensive, but again “optional”
Screen resolution? Power per channel? Not very technical review
Managed to find these on the internet. Screen res is 1024x600. Maximum power output is 50W x 4 ch.
