I have one of these and it is a great bargain. It is interesting to see that the better Chinese brands, such as Seagull, San Martin and Cronos, are now considerably more expensive than this Tissot with a proper ETA 2836. I do have to say though that the bracelets on some of these better Chinese watches are considerably better than the ones supplied with low-end Swiss watches, such as this Tissot.
Yep! these Tissot's have the movement and the Chinese watches have the finishing and bracelets. If only they could come together and make one mega valued watch! Thanks for watching John, hope to see you again in the future.
Completely agree. Seiko used to be the kings of entry level but I feel like various brands, including Tissot, have now overtaken them to the crown! Thanks for watching 🥇🥇
The quality of your video is awesome. I was expecting to look at the subscriber count and see at least 10k, keep up the good work brother and I'm sure you will get there soon. Awesome thumbnail and video, good luck for the future!
Thank you my friend 💛 i am trying hard to make the videos good quality so im happy to see that it is noticed. I will continue to upload and try to make the videos entertaining. My state of the collection video will be out this weekend so check it out! :)
I randomly stumbled across this video and it’s the same exact watch I have. I have the gold with the white face. Such a BEAUTIFUL watch but had no idea it was comparable to the Rolex at the beginning of the video. Makes me even prouder of my choice lol. Great video. I can attest the watch is a solid buy.
Fully agreed, the best value from Tissot or even the whole Swiss watch industry. If only the water resistant is increased to 100m, u can even wear it forever without taking it off. A side note about Rolex Day Date, which ordinary people would dare to wear it without being worried that your hand might be chopped off? c",)
Orient. By far the most accurate and reliable watches I have. And I have a bunch like Rolex, Omega, Tissot, Seiko, etc. Bang for the buck no way to beat Orient or even their Orient Star line.
I hadn't purchased a watch in almost 20 years then recently bought an Orient. Within a few months, I purchased 3 more. It's as if they were made just for me. Wonderful watches.
I've got Bulova day date 96C127 in my collection. They do a blue dial option too. I've got it on a colareb leather strap. It's a good option also (if you don't mind a quartz) The Tissot looks great & has a better bracelet Vs my Bulova 👍
If you like this, you should look up the Tissot Couturier; even more beautiful design, with day date function and being sold much less than what it's worth. Look it up! Great video
What a beauty! Thanks for your video. I hadn’t seen this model before. It looks like a cross between two Tissots that I own - the original T One Sport (day date) and the Le Locle. Tissot is superb value for money, very well made and reliable. Mine are more accurate on a daily basis than my Chr Ward COSC. Cheers!
I don't hate the bracelet but I've massively struggled to get a comfy fit on it. I have also now swapped it out for a leather strap too and enjoy it much more. Thanks for watching my friend
I’m probably late in the game here but thought I would leave my comment. I really love this video. I am purchasing one of these watches in black. I loved the way you presented this and no sleep. I mean it completely as a compliment. You remind me in your presentation and even Voice and mannerism and urban gentry who has got to be one of my favorite and most entertaining watch review sites at any rate it’s September 13 2024 and I am so excited and can’t wait for my watch to arrive. Thanks for an awesome review
@@TopTierTickerThanks man. I couldn’t imagine having a Swiss automatic day/date when I was 17. Liked & subscribed. P.s. Lots of straps are available for the odd 19mm strap size. I’m gonna get him a stainless jubilee bracelet. Cheers man.
I have had several Visodates, day dates, dates from Tissot, the only Tissot remaining in my collection is date only pr50 automatic. Brands like Tissot and Hamilton doing much more than any brand out there. Ofc, yours there is with more conventional movement of eta, i liked even more. Keep it, they do not produce them anymore.
Tissot tend to be more accurate timepieces than Rolex. Tissot has really upped their game whilst the prices are more affordable than Rolex, yet they are still quality watches to be passed down the family for lifetimes.
Lume is average to be honest. You get a glimpse of it when coming inside after being out in the sun. However, as this is a dressier piece, I'm fine with that :)
@@TopTierTicker That is wonderful news!! I am thinking of snagging a similar Tissot here shortly, but wanted to double check and see how you were enjoying yours. Thanks for that update!
$250? Where? Cheapest I could find was AUD $1400...that's talking genuine, non-gray market, non copy...even USD $250 is only AUD $400...I guess they've went up 300% due to covid19...
For anyone else that may be concerned I did scan the QR code and register on the website after receiving the watch from Amazon. The code went right through and brought the watch up and got me registered on the Tissot website with warranty info and more. The unboxing was great and the manual was an easy download. Great experience and great watch from Tissot!

Seiko no longer represents the quality and value it once did. On a modest budget, Tissot is certainly hard to beat.

For 100 meters, you should look at the Certina brand of the Swatch Group. The DS-1 Day/Date is very similar to this Tissot.
Yep agreed. Tissot are owning the $200-$300 market right now with the value they have on offer. Thanks for watching mate
Everyone who sees it will think its a fake so criminals wont bother.
Orient. By far the most accurate and reliable watches I have. And I have a bunch like Rolex, Omega, Tissot, Seiko, etc. Bang for the buck no way to beat Orient or even their Orient Star line.
Orient Star line is better than many Seiko models. I admire them.

I love bulova, very under rated brand! Colareb straps are amazing too. Sounds like you have a top tier piece there. Enjoy!
I just picked up the Powermatic 80 version Day Date.... Can't beat the 80 hour power reserve .

is the Tissot's day and date jumps when changing?
Yes, they both jump over simultaneously at midnight 👍
@@TopTierTicker thanks
So convincing that I bought one 3/4 through the video for $258 😃
Clint! That has made my day. I absolutely love mine so I'm sure you'll enjoy yours too. Have fun with your new piece and thank you for watching
Where did you get it from? I tried Jomashop, but the only one they had was their two-tone one, which didn't look as good to me.
any recommend shop for EU or shipping from NA to EU? Cause here its like 550-750 euros :(
This one in black is awesome. Unfortunately these are now at 600 usd and hard to find.
i bought this watch and its good. im not a fan of steel bracelet so i change it with leather.
I don't hate the bracelet but I've massively struggled to get a comfy fit on it. I have also now swapped it out for a leather strap too and enjoy it much more. Thanks for watching my friend

Just ordered one and I can't wait till it is here
I just scored a new one for $180 shipped with black dial for my sons early 17th birthday.
What a steal.
Very nice. Hope your son enjoys it my friend.

That watch is €650 here in the Netherlands.
Jomashop deliver to the Netherlands.
@@TopTierTicker thanks I did not know that. Might save some money after customs and shipping.
Does the day date auto adjust for months that don't have 31st?
Unfortunately not, you have to either pay big money for one of those or go for a quartz!
This video quality and presentation is 10/10
Made my day! Thanks for watching my friend 🙌
Tissot have a great luxury to value ratio. I was told this by a watchmaker.
Thank you for the info, a really good video!
Thank you mate 🙏❤
You called it a President. 🤨
Totally agree on this choice. Another great video, thanks mate!
My pleasure!
Mine comes tomorrow. Can't wait to check it out.
How is it? Do you love it as much as I love mine?
id buy one if i could find one with that band
Is this watch available to purchase, anywhere in India, because it is discontinued
Finally someone made a video on this watch!!
Awesome intro and classic watch!
Hey! Thanks for the comment. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to create thag little intro. I appreciate you watching buddy

Great review👍🏻, how good is the lume BTW?
Lume is average to be honest. You get a glimpse of it when coming inside after being out in the sun. However, as this is a dressier piece, I'm fine with that :)
A link to the watch would help. None have day up the top when I looked.
It's pretty hard to find. I got mine off Jomashop
another great pick is a casio mtp-1381 imo.
Good choice!
Could you please give Tissot part number for your version of Tissot Day Date Automatic III
Nice presentation fella.
Thank you Nick, I'll continue to try make some entertaining stuff!
Странно, на сайте производителя нет таких часов
Love your channel!
great video brother keep up the good work
Thank you Dez 🙏🙏🙏
Nice video, Im a Tissot fan.
Have a v similar model, power reserve is great.
Good value, average bracelet, Lume useless.
Boxes are crap!
Hands down the worse watch to manually wind, I sold mine after a year.
Yep that’s an alternative all right, don’t know to what though, junk.
How are you still liking the watch nowadays?
Yep, great watch. One of the only watches I've kept for over two years 😂
@@TopTierTicker That is wonderful news!! I am thinking of snagging a similar Tissot here shortly, but wanted to double check and see how you were enjoying yours. Thanks for that update!
PAR CE QUE LA MONTRÉ ELLE À UNE VALEUR.
Tissot is great. But the looks are far from the Rolex Day-Date.
I don't think it's too dissimilar. Also, it's mainly about the vertical day date, rarely seen on dress watches.
Hate the strap

Jomashop. I pretty much only shop grey market.
@@TopTierTicker ah OK. Makes sense - USD $294, so up 10% in the past 2 years. Still cheaper than local (if not a fake).
Why isn't this watch on their website?
Yeah that's a strange one. It is available at authorised dealers though, weird.
@@TopTierTicker Well that is good to hear. I just purchased last night and was a little afraid it was a chinese knock off.
