I am lucky to have access to both mju's so I thought I'd share a bit of a comparison video for you.

MJU ii photos are date stamped for reference.
Do both of them offer the date stamp option?

Is 2.8 better than 3.5? I’m sorry I am new to this and don’t know the difference
@@ceyylm.9646 all good, 2.8 = more blurry photos. It’s also a faster lens and better with low light.
Can the date imprint be turned off on the 2? That would bug me if it couldn’t. Also i feel like it just looks like a Nikon 35AF, quite crunchy and very sharp (and 3x the price). Prefer the slightly softer look of the 1 lens tbh
Hi ! I just bought a mju zoom 105 . And from my lens I can see a small black dot , I don’t know what that is ? Maybe it’s dust ? Will it effect my photos ? My final pictures ? I’m a total beginner and I don’t know how it will develop !
The mju i is also not weather sealed while the mju ii is.

HI I'm really interested in buying the mju 1 but I can't find one for under £200. Where's the best place to look online?
Check Facebook Marketplace! That's where I found mine, also be sure to search "Olympus Stylus" as the camera goes by different names in different regions, so Stylus for MJU 1 and Stylus Epic for MJU ii!
Other than that, ebay/gumtree works well here in Australia! I hope that helps.

Loved this! Is it possible to turn off the date imprint on the MJU II or is that set? Much prefer the snaps without it on the MJU I !

You definitely can, I only turned it on so that I could tell the difference between the rolls so that I could put the video together.
It has a super small button (on both cameras) that you can adjust the dates on.
@@braystaylor Ah thank you! I saw a cheap MJU II for sale but the date was supposedly stuck, so I’m not sure if they just meant it couldn’t be changed or couldn’t be taken off, so I’ll have to find out! 😁
@@jazcarr2471 Yeah, a fully functioning MJU and MJU ii will allow you to disable the date if you wish so definitely ask the seller.

and about the opinion of mju one rather than mju two is good especially the 300 bucks you can buy many films to spend money on it and travel expenses to shoot nice photos 📸👍😊😉

And yeah, the og mju is super nice! It seems to get more shots in focus / better focus over all, I think the mju ii in some cases tries to stay at 2.8 and ends up either misfocusing or being soft.
Back at it with the killer content, really loved those shots in the fog & smashed it with the edit man! Definitely need to shoot a couple videos together once restrictions are lifted, I'm itching at the bit to get out and shoot!
Dean Shoots Same! I was not expecting the fog to be there and then when I saw the mountains it just was insane.

This has super inspired me to use my mju more!
After trying out the AF-10 Super, I sold my MJU. They both have 35mm lens and 3.5 aperture but the AF-10 seemed sharper and more consistent. Great video!

Olympus af1 with weather sealing and 35mm f2. 8 lens. I bought mine for £20 and the photos are great.
Also a banging camera! Just doesn't look as pocketable.

So question, having a Nikon Tele touch, which is my only film P&S and I don't use it, I's sell it but it has a crack, I would rather carry a SLR, even if it's bigger, some smaller ones are really compact with a nice pancake lens. Other than being more portable, what is the allure of a P&S for so much over a SLR which you can expand? $600 will get you a lot of non point and shoot gear.
