A lot of people may laugh at the 'goofy' ending, but the whole movie IS about Love. Not just romantic Love, but platonic and passionate Love for both friends, family and your dreams. The Racers weren't just racing for glory! Even though they didn't win, the other racers were still happy because the goal isn't the reward, the journey is.

the movie felt a but bloated with poorly structurerd subplots imo and wasnt able to fully develop the main plot i think

This anime took 7 years, made by nearly 100,000 images all hand painted, nice music set and voice works, a real masterpiece.

This was such a perfect song for the credits. Usually I stop watching a movie once credits start rolling, but I actually watched the entirety of the credits 'cuz this song is so good. The song's mood is awesome establishing the tone of the ending of Redline and making you already think back that the past hour was a well spent one.
The ending credits felt almost euphoric, perfectly crafted into the resolution of the film.
And after the sensory overload and intensity that was the last third of the movie it fits perfectly

Redline had a perfect ending, it did not drag out or force anything more then it needed to, just ended when it needed. And gave us this amazing song!!! A labour of love!!!
People may complain about the ending, but I really like it. I think the movie is less about making sense and more about being in the moment. Perfect song for the perfect ending.

This movie inspired me to get a challenger, the car of my dreams. I was barely able to get it signed off, now a few years later this song is making me push forward to be with a girl I have dated for years long distance. This movie has changed my life drastically and has been a big influence on who I am.

If this movie would have been released today, it would've have had CGI implementation, and I would say it wouldn't be the same anymore. I really love hand drawn anime's more than CGI, even background stuff that is just hand drawn gives life to it and uniqueness of detail, where CGI is replacing the background and in some cases everything as it was with latest Berserker stuff, which I really do not enjoy when it is so CGI, it just looks stiff most of the time. I appreciate CGI when it is made like full fledged rendering, such as Gantz:O where the motion is just fluid, but something like Berserk level of CGI animation is just stiff and I don't like it at all.
It is a super hard work to draw animation things by hand in a fluid/high fps motion, but the result is just fantastic visual quality.
If only they could come up with CGI effect where it simulates hand drawn animation and motion, some AI or something, then we could see these types of movies much more often rather than after 7 something years. Who knows what is being made now by some high budget company, we might see it now or after couple of years, and then learning that it took for them many years to make a 2-3h animated movie, or in less time if used by latest technology.
I have to correct myself slightly about fluidity. The whole movie is not really that high frame fluid feel, it's just in some specific parts, which are often, but mostly it is regularly animated where frames are skipped within fast action phases, but the fluidity is simulated with the artstyle they use here and the high details that are being displayed, with the whole exaggeration of objects, such as stretching stuff, and then the explosions, and the way vehicles look and are being destroyed, lots of things are going on.
The smoothness is in effect where the action is really low. The thing is...it's a super detailed animation.
