I just drove my GT3 up there today from the Amsterdam area (dont hold that against me). What a perfect day for a drive! All the backroads were empty too except for 1 propane truck who waved me by!
Do appreciate Steve's non nonsense straight approach to the review most of the time you have to hear the advertisement of the manufacturer he just tells it like it is thank you Steve keep up the good work
Love the car...never driven a Porsche..but that sound ..oh that sound...and 400 hp for 23 combined is nice..there are cars u can get for less..but your paying for the porche genetics..and i bet its a hell of a car to drive..good review steve
Nuanced review of a beautiful car. I loved the old one, and this one looks and seems even better. And, because my Kia has ventilated seats and the Porsche doesn't, I get to tease my best friend, who drives a Panamera. If I were in this market, it seems like it would be hard not to love this car. Now, if they bring the wagon to the USA, I might have to forgo a few other expenses (?Food?) in order to make the stretch!
Another thorough and well produced review, Steve. Great point about auto stop start with the PDK. Porsche’s autostop hasn’t improved since they introduced it. It’s hard to ignore the lack of refinement.
I have a 2018 for us sport Turismo I absolutely love it it is my first Porsche I have always had Mercedes before that or big GM SUVs. I will never go back to another Mercedes after having this vehicle I get more compliments on it more what is that questions it is a driver's car the quality is unbelievable there is not a rough Edge to be dealt with I can't say enough good obviously and in the more expensive price range frankly I find it to be a good value it has been very reliable I have 70,000 miles on my car already and it's had nothing but oil changes and tires brakes will be needed soon. It is covered under the Porsche extended warranty for another year and a half so I'm breathing easy actually thinking of selling it now and moving into another one. Anyone interested in a purchase? LOL
Isn't it always the problem with twin clutch transmissions to suffer klunkiness when in lower gears? (You'd think Porsche would put an on/off switch for the start/stop system. And especially with Porsche's PDK)
It's a pretty nice car but I always have to laugh when Steve shows us the infortainment w/Carplay and he has *tons* of messages. He's either wildly popular or just ignores his phone (or both).
TestDriveNow Reviews by Auto Critic Steve Hammes Wow well put then. I can't wait for you to test drive the new M5 and compare that. I'm assuming they'll be the same price range.
Laugh out Loud, Steve, are you okay? Did you wipe yourself when you got out the car? Because from the sound of it, it seems like you had relations with this car.
Just got a 4S and I love it. Paid half the MSRP for a CPO 2018.. lol I feel bad for whoever bought it brand new.
This ismy favorite auto.I always love something from his commentaries Well done sir

Much appreciated!
I’m sold, I love that color. That sound is magnificent. It’s a very good balance
What is that color?

Panamera 4S base price in USA $103,000 USD. In Australia $336,000 AUD. I’m puzzled how this works
If had money to buy a high end sedan, this was certainly be on the short list.
One of those times when Steve just loves what he does for a living!
You got it!
At 2:40 what’s up with the one bright led?

The wagon is here! You can have one. Thanks, Andy!
TestDriveNow Reviews by Auto Critic Steve Hammes Ah, the irony of selling one's children to buy a station wagon...
Great review as always! as much as I love the panamera and i really do love it, I don't think its worth 140k to be honest, for sure 100k but not 140k.

Just switch to sport mode and it will disable stop and start, no?
Dream Car!
Thanks for another excellent review
Thanks, Charlie!
wait to get it used with carmax bumper to bumper warranty lol

Yep
Now at 93k Porsche certified warranty good until February 24.
New tires.
What color is this panamera?

Pretty much but this was really noticeable.
Where's the 4S V8 Diesel?
The only way to fly, if your prestige sedan needs to double as a sports car.
Nissan TitanWarrior This is the one executive sedan where the executive would rather drive than to be chauffeured in.
It's a pretty nice car but I always have to laugh when Steve shows us the infortainment w/Carplay and he has *tons* of messages. He's either wildly popular or just ignores his phone (or both).
Ha!!! It's not the "Wildly popular" option.
Good review n
Thank you 🙂
I really don't like the interior. I miss the buttons. The interior is too techy.
If you need the size, you just get the Executive. :P
I will, thanks! ;-)
Actually, give me the SportTurismo.
140 grand and no ventilated seats???? Daylight Robbery!!!!
That’s a pretty long intro of 3 mins. Besides, it’s a fastback not a hatchback. I mean, it’s longer than 5 m... but other than that, nice review
Benji Jung Dude. It’s a hatchback. Don’t buy the marketing. Otherwise, I have no idea what you mean.
Interior looks simple. Even Porsche owners agree that this car is overpriced.
Torn between this guy and a Turbo..
I just can't imagine paying $100k for a 6 cylinder sedan when you can get a BMW 8 cylinder for about the same price 550 series that is
max audi It drives circles around that car.

“Alternative” to what?
To a Lexus LS.

AutoRingMagazine Heck, that’s nothing. Go watch my Huracan review 😉.
No Android Auto. No buy.
For all its pretentiousness, it would still eat dust from a Tesla.
For 140k NO. I’ll take a Mercedes AMG E63S with 603 hp and AWD
Not if you need space in the backseat...
A bigger VW Bettle
