Isn't this more of a cls63/m6gc competitor than an s class/7 series competitor?

maxjtj31 well in some ways yes but the panamera exceutive is wider then an sclass and has a wheel base and lengh almost exactly the same as thes class
it's the more expensive S7/RS7 Audi now that it has the 4.0 instead of the original monster 4.8. Going by the measurements they are fraternal twins.
it is in the price range of the s class not the cls and with executive model it is as big

you can get reclining massaging rear seats in the panamera and fold out tables like the S
It has more of the luxury features of the a8. I agree with you that it looks more like a rs7 though.

Motorized air vents .... because it's just so difficult to adjust air vents manually.
I wish they paid more attention to making cars lighter, reliable and efficient than adding gimmicks.

Well it's a Panamera. Nobody who wants to have a light and normal car buys a Panamera :D By the way, these cars are absolutely reliable and more efficient than you think. If you really want to (nobody wants that, I know), you can drive the Panamera with pretty low emissions and consumption.
***** when it comes to massage seats while driving is not my thing so I agree with you because if I am getting a massage , I want to relax while getting it and not be able to focus on nothing but nothing.

Pretty much think it looks much harder than it really is. The PDK transmission normally shifts so soft and especially fast that you don't feel the gear change.
@The Real Kurti: I agree. The camera appears to be on his head, not mounted fixed on the car, and *his head* jerks with the sudden acceleration. The PDK transmission is very, very smooth indeed.

I liked the first Panamera, but second gen is just perfect! Looks great, performs great and that interior if flawless!
The Panamera Turbo would be a straight competitor with the M6, RS7 and E63 AMG not the larger sedans.

No, the S63 and the m760 are much bigger cars.
Don't compare the size od the normal E and S class, to the Panamera Turbo, the AMG versions are bigger.

Finally, a Panamera that looks freaking amazing! I can imagine the 1st gen Panamera will drop like a stone. Look for your next Panamera at the dollar store :p

IMO I don't think the panamera really competes with the S-class. Its more of a BMW M5/M6gc and E63 AMG-S competitor. So saying its the most fun car to drive in its class without mentioning those isn't right.
Drotography I would say that it is a BMW M6 gc and Mercedes cls63 competitor not E63.
panamera is closer in dimension to s/7/a8 than e/5/a6 though and even has an executive version that's as large as LWB s/7/a8

Stefan Sestovic this is 505 cm, is F segment, so it go with sclass, a8 ........ e class, cls, 5 series are 10-15 cm smaller than this
S-Class is about 5.10 long, the Panamera about 5.05m.

I personally really like the way the rear of the old Panamera looked better then this newer version. It was more distinct and looked sportier in my opinion. This looks kind of toned down

automatic vents is the STUPIDEST feature I've ever seen. what's wrong with a nice simple piece of plastic that you can move yourself? why in God's name would you want to go through multiple menus with a crappy touch screen and to have tiny little motors that will fail and require you to tear the whole dash out to fix them in 4 years
I was thinking buying between panamera turbo and s63, but Panamera is the answer i guess. And also amazing review, very detailed and clean. Looking forward to more review like this. God bless :)

this is not a good way to compare because S Class is more of for those who prefer to chauffeur driven. in Panamera i would think the owner would want to be seen driving it. even for S65 AMG.

Dude, the Turbo S-E Hybrid isn't a mystery. You can look at and even customize the thing on their website..You're a few months late on the info.
Panamera = CLS=RS7 .... Panamera GT or Sport Touting (don't know the real name ) = RS6 Avant= E63 AMG T-Model
This is a midsize luxury sports car, it competes with the E63 M5 RS6 XFR and that type, not the frikkin' S class!
lol everytime I watch videos about fast german luxyry sedans, I can't help but think about a fact that Tesla smokes all of them, it's not even fair with all that instant torque, even the model 3 is faster than the porsche

ct6 needs to up its game. They have the chassis down, but the engine and interior are far inferior to almost any luxury car
very nice car. I just don't like the prices from outlets to color of your key that comes in any nice car like a Bmw or Mercedes.

Parker you said the only real competition to this Panamera Turbo is the Tesla. What about the Audi S8 plus you reviewed a while back? It had 600 hp and sounded great as well as looked mean. Also priced about the same if not cheaper.
If Parker really wants to compare a 7 series to a panamera, don't compare the M760i. Compare it to the BMW Alpina B7 SWB as it is a fairly good car. I've test driven them both and the B7 is way up to par. So Parker. Compare the panamera to the B7

The price is so high because their margins are like 17% and up. But honestly, I can't blame them. They make arguably the best cars in the world...
Usually the U.S gets the new models before us in Canada but it seems this time Porsche launched the turbo s hybrid here first. You can already order them here
