Thanks jimiemick, I really appreciate you following along. Good luck with your rotary training, I always see lots of choppers flying around Melbourne, they look like lots of fun.
Great advice mate! In the thralls of the first stage of an integrated course now. Really appreciate you posting, it's so helpful to have someone as clear and articulate as yourself providing useful commentary and tips.
Hello Cale, thanks for the comment, I'm really glad that helped you. Best of luck with your course, I hope that goes really well for you. Cheers, stef 👍
Great videos and tips would love to see more. I've just restarted my flight training back at Moorrabin, some great tips in this video, particularly about knowing how to find information in your documents. Where I was initially training years ago, we were forced to sit our PPL without much notice (despite our undergraduate pressure) and missed passing by a question (I was furious, given I knew the material), doing it on my own, booking when ready I achieved 95%, KDRs took me less then 30min.
Thank you. Yes taking that pressure off yourself can immediately give you an advantage. If you have a deadline looming and you feel unprepared but still push ahead, it's a recipe for failure, in exams and most other parts of life too! Thanks for commenting and watching, glad you enjoyed the tips!
Excellent tips! Thank you. 1) What subjects out of the nine should have priority to be done first (in the UK) 2) what equipments are needed ..I mean for instance, which practical headphones should I buy etc.? Thanks in advance
Thank you, i think these tips would give many aspiring pilots a big head start to passing theory exams. You seem to have a nack for talking and explaining anything aviation in a way that makes it easy to understand especially for a very slow learner like myself. I believe that you would make a great flight instructor.
Hi! I've got a CPL and obviously all the passes in those subjects all through self study. I'm wondering what it's like studying for IREX alone and how much more difficult it is compared to CPL. Cheers mate.
In Europe we are not allowed to take anything to exam literally nothing they provide everything in there the calculator we used u can't even put formula in 😁
Stef, I’m watching this in 2020, and I’m wondering as I have my RPL exam coming up if these tips apply for the RPL exam as well as PPL? And also I see in background a flight sim yoke? I thought you didn’t have one 😂😂 Thanks for the tips
The points definitely apply to both RPL & PPL. Pilot practice exams .com has probably the best practice exams currently, expect to see very similar questions in your actual casa exams. I have used them all the way from RPL to ATPL over the past year and they have been a huge help. The only point I disagree on is delay booking your exam until you're ready. If you find yourself exam ready and unable to get an exam booked, due to them being booked out or whatever, you then have to retain a huge amount of information for an extended period. Just booked them a reasonable distance in the future and work towards that date. The RPL and PPL exams are far harder than the CPL ones, good luck.
Thanks Hamza. Most of these tips are relevant for any aviation theory exam that you're studying, so yes I would think for the ATPLs as well. Hope they help, good luck with your study.
where can I get these practice exams? any links to online stores? I'm 14 studying for an RA-Aus RPC but links to RPC, RPL and PPL practice exams are much appreciated.
I got my practise exams from my local pilot shop at Moorabbin Airport. You can try Bob Tait’s Online store, they have a bunch of practise tests and study books. Otherwise I did buy some online during my IREX study, or ask your flight school if they have some practise exams for you as well.
@@StefanDrury I gotta give credit where it's due brother. Most of your AIP tags were spot on. Wouldn't have gotten anywhere near 93% without your insightful advice
Thanks for sharing Stefan. Even though I am a rotary student I am enjoying your videos and tips!
Thanks jimiemick, I really appreciate you following along. Good luck with your rotary training, I always see lots of choppers flying around Melbourne, they look like lots of fun.
great video thanks for the tip! I'm taking my PPL written theory exam in 1 week and I'm excited!!
Thanks Veni Vidi Amavi, the very best of luck with your PPL exams. Let us know how you get on, I'm sure you'll smash it! Good luck, Stef 👍
How was the results if I may ask?

I did just that for my Private Rotary and it worked. Once I hit 90 % I went for my weak point and went from there and it worked really good.

H Stefan. Thanks. Is Australian PPL exam is the same as USA? Most of the videos are from the USA on TH-cam.
