Brilliant easy to follow video. I had my 2 year boiler serviced yesterday. This morning there was no hot water or heating. The gas boiler engineer who serviced it said it was nothing that he had done as it worked when he had left. He said his call out charge was £65. I managed to find the fault which was low water pressure and followed the video. I saved myself some money although i would not have entertained having the con man back again.
Thanks a lot Allen for this useful video! I have VITODEN 222-W which sometimes has fluctuating pressure between 0.2 to 0.9 but never going above 1.0. Today I got error F.74 which I believe is low pressure. I did a restart of system and for now it's good but I thin I need to top it up as suggested in your video. One question though - how can I vent the system?
Thanks for this and all your videos, I have found them very informative. I have a Viessmann Vitodens 200, 3 years old, and the pressure guage is broken. I am able to read pressure from a exterior guage, attached to the supply line. Apart from that broken gauge the system works fine. My question is whether I should replace the veissmann pressure gauge or simply reply on the supply line guage. I've sourced the part but my local HVAC wants 8 x the part cost to replace. Again, thanks for the videos. I would never attempt any repairs myself but they at least give us owners some knowledge so that when we interact with the professionals, at least we can understand what they are talking about. Cheers
Hi Allen, thanks for your brilliant videos. We have a Vitodens 300 and the pipes are set up somewhat differently. For instance there’s no loop connecting the te pipes. Love to have your advice on recharging the boiler.
I have a vissemam w100. I had topped up the pressure to 1 but for some reason my taps in the shower and baths only give me either extremely hot or extremely cold water - no in between.. What could I do to fix this? Lowering the temp on the boiler doesn't work
Allen, please make a video with new Viessmann 050w internal components and discuss their quality and what can go wrong and how easy is to find out new parts to replace the broken ones.
Hi....I do not have the second black lever valve at all... got the 15mm cold feed one 😕.....open the 15mm cold fill lever and nowt happening. Does the boiler need to activate a valve or something ??...stuck at the mo ....exactly same boiler as shown
Hi Allan, general question. Have Potterton boiler now, replacing with Baxi 830. Do I need to replace the flue? One company says yes, one says no need... ?
Any idea why the highest radiator in a house would keep gathering air but pressure not increasing/decreasing (and decreasing only slighty after bleeding). Wolf Combi boiler....
Hi Allen, would you please do a video on why different size pipes are used, and where, on heating systems, and if specific sizes are mandatory (I was told to use 22mm everywhere for radiators). Thanks.
22mm is wrong on Rads, 15mm is standard & microbore (on newer houses) only uses 10mm or even 8mm pipe. 22mm is more of a heat pump size, but even with heat pumps, 15mm is fine for rads.
HI Allen , I have a question regarding Viessman 050 , when it gets installed is it necessarily to have that black pump box on the installation or not ? Thank you in advance !
How is it possible my boiler seems to work perfectly with 0 pressure? It's not the manometer because when I use warm water it goes up slightly, then drops again.
Dude, on 050 you have a blue tap under the combi on the left side, you close the return tap and open that blue tap, check the pressure indicator and that is all... no fancy plumming.
Your instructions couldn't have been clearer. You are a total legend, Allen!

Thank you! Detailed and helpful
Really helpful video, didn't have a clue how to add water to the system until watching this! Many thanks.
Glad it helped!

Thanks so much a really helpful video, I have no help at hand so the video was perfect 👏👏
You are clear simple and brilliant thankyou
Really helpful thank you😊
Much appreciated Allen! Very helpful and got me sorted quickly
Thanks for the good tips . Can you tell me what is the right pressure to be reached for a Viessmann Vitodens 100?
Thank You your advice and help sorted the problem for us.

great video. really helpful.
Thank you so much! Just saved me call out charge😅

Mine is same model also without the loop and I've found out the pressure is filled with a blue key beside the second pipe from the left.
Hi Allen my pressure is low for the Viessmann boiler but it's different from the one in the video... Can you please help
Many thanks! Really useful!

Hi Alan only got one black tap when turn it on pipe vibrates but gauge doesn't move please help

My boiler seems to be running at 1.8 and just wondering how to turn it down to 1.5
Hi Allan, general question.

When you buy a new car would you use the exhaust from the old one 😂😂😂
The 2 black taps don't do anything on mine, they used until a Viessman engineer fitted a new cylinder(tank)
Do I need turn off the boiler before top up the pressure?
Hi, I only have one black isolation valve under my boiler , turning that one alone doesn’t seem to fix pressure. Any ideas?
Ah I saw another of your videos where the valve was fitted in a different orientation, same as mine, that solved it. Thanks so much

Hi Alan. Where is the drain point on them boilers, if you just want to drop just the boiler to change prv and do the vessel. Thanks
Hi Jason. Thank you for the question. It has a drain off on the left-hand side near the gauge. Thanks.
Love it, super useful video!
Thank you for your support.

not sure what you mean.
Hi Allen ,
You know the black box which is the pump for the system , is it necessary to be installed or could be installed without one
Are you using the Vicare modules ?
Brilliant -thanks
what does zF1 mean o the boiler
Where can I buy this fill system?
Should be on the boiler.
Hi. I’ve put too much water in the boiler so that the pressure is on 2 bar. How can I reduce the water pressure and is 2 bars dangerous?
Let some water out through the bleed valves until at the required pressure.
How is it possible my boiler seems to work perfectly with 0 pressure? It's not the manometer because when I use warm water it goes up slightly, then drops again.
I have the same situation😮
Hi,i do exactly what you say,but the pressure its not going up at all
Tried to do this but levers won’t budge 😢
Cheers alan
