Such a beautiful owl!

They are beautiful.
We have a few around our area.
The other night, one flew to the ground right in front of me.
He landed on the ground about 15 feet in front of me.
And as we were both surprised by that, we just stared at each other for a few seconds.
I love all birds, great and small, so that was a real treat for me to see him that close.
I tried to do my barred owl call..but he wasn't too impressed and flew off into our oak tree.
I think he was at our bird bath, and I had startled him.
I guess they will visit bird baths in the hot weather to bath or take a drink.
But, I got a thrill to see him so close that night.

I love owls, since I was a little boy I’ve always wanted to know now that I’m a big boy. I’m gonna get a owl 🦉
