Broooooooo! I ordered like 4 books from Amazon for my birthday and my father scolded me for wasting my money. I used my birthday money; the 1000 rupees given to me by my aunt. He scolded me so so so much. I insisted that she gave this money for my birthday present and he yelled that i could have spent it on more practical things. He said I would tell your aunt not to give you any money anymore. I cried a lot while opening my package. But i loved my books.
I’m sorry you had to go through that. Maybe you should make your father watch the video where I’m convincing parents to let their children read! It will be helpful for you and he will feel better hopefully 🤍
Everytime my parents see any book parcels, they scold me for wasting money. But I know I am right. I save my pocket money, also I earn a little. I bring books from my savings and earnings, and now I have more than 100 books. Everytime I receive my parcel, I open them on my terrace in solitude. They suspect as they see books piles increasing day by day, but I don't care and would keep reading and buying books for my own happiness 🤭. Hope they understand one day, untill then, I would follow my inner voice.
I, myself ordered 5 books for my birthday and then then again I bought 3 more books from the book store 😂 and my sister paid for all of them. My father is a reader so he too encourage me to read, but seriously your videos are great.
I ordered 5 hardcoversss last month and still getting taunts from mumm.....😂 Bot though the feeling of holding those and adding to the collection is awesomeeee❤️

Just finished reading Good Girl's Guide to Murder and thoroughly enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next 2 in the series. By the way, just like Cleopatra and Frankenstein, if you want to read a book with two well known pop culture characters that you can never expect can go together, read 'Sherlock and Devdas' by Manav Vigg. It's a heist thriller and highly enjoyable! Plus - brownie points for Indian author! Lots of love and Happy New Year!
