I have a few questions. Every time I follow someone video to make a wallet like this. It never comes out the same. What is the thickness of the leather? Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to use dark magic?
If I may, what got you started into leatherwork?
For me, it was simply a family thing. Uncle's worked leather, one did boots, another did belts , another only wallets. I make gun related items. It's a family thing.

Great video. I recently purchased a Sailrite Zigzag walking foot heavy duty sewing machine and I am planning on building me some wallets.
A nice tri-fold wallet with vertical-oriented card slots is the best (horizontal openings to get the card out vertically). When I visit the shops, almost all of the tri-folds I see have the cards going in sideways (vertical slots to get the card out horizontally) . What is the terminology to describe the wallet that you made here, so that I can be sure to refer to it properly ? Also, btw, excellent videos and craftmanship ! Its rare these days for young people to manufacture handmade goods, as out forefathers used to. But, lately it seems as though the old days are returning, albeit very slowly. Thanks!
