I don't understand why they didn't keep a 3rd person mode. It's always more fun to explore beautiful worlds like this in 3rd person.
In my opinion, it's better in first person, because it's WAY more immersive, and I've always wanted to be on pandora since I've watched the first movie.

Often it's to simplify the combat. If in third person and you for example fight with a spear. They have a much higher demand in gameplay if it's in third person compared to first person.

I remember playing the first Avatar game both PSP and PS3 and it was one of my favorite games to play back then. Though I wish it was in first person, but since it’s from 2009 and the technology is not yet good, I forgive it.

Ubisoft and Massive really crafted a game that pushes gaming into the future here. Years ago playing on PS1 I thought to myself, the future of gaming would look like Pixar CGI. Avatar Frontiers really nailed it visually. I hope the game has a compelling story to drive interest, and the sensation of combat and survival feel impactful. This could be very immersive. I've seen other creators comment how Ubisoft is JUST making a FARCRY clone. The formula is sound albeit a well known mechanic, but this looks very organic in a good way. Kudos to the teams involved in crafting this game. I look forward to playing it and hope it's got the means to keep the immersion for many hours.

Far cry reskinned basically. Gives you the feeling when you played primal. Which was one of my favorites
Yo trev interesting fact is that James Cameron himself took personal charge over the game because he apparently didn’t like what Ubisoft was doing so no wonder the game was delayed to December 7. Honestly that was a good decision from him since now the game might be really good and signs are promising.

There’s no reason, in the time we are in now, to not have a 3rd person view. Especially since the naavi are such beautiful creatures. I think they should have taken the assassins creed approach maybe.
It’s immersive this way.
Game looks amazing but for some reason I can’t shake the linear feeling of it. It seems like a guided open world. I would have wished to get a more natural open world feeling if it makes sense. Being able to choose an Ikran like in the movie would have been nice as well.

It's a shame that the capture was limited to 1080p, TH-cam's compression makes the forest setting look very noisy with artifacts in that resolution.

This game is a less impressive version of ARK: Survival Ascended. I highly recommend you make a video on it TmarTn, as IMO it has the greatest graphics of any game, and objectively using the latest and greatest tech (UE 5.2 - Hardware PT - Physics/Fluid Simulation - Huge dynamic open world)
