I think they missed a great opportunity to make your ikron unique. Instead of taming a scripted banshee, they should let you track down any banshees, each with different stats much like how you train animals in ARK. And since you can only link to one in the game, it will give players more incentive to seek out powerful ikrons with unique color patterns and abilities.
Pretty sure they will sell skins.. so they don’t need you to find better looking ones. Cause then why would you pay.

for the animal skinning issue, a cool compromise they could do is let you leave immediately if you want, but you get a small bonus for sticking around to give respect to the slain. maybe just like a few extra xp points or something

My biggest issue with this is you don’t look very nimble and seem to move at about “human” speed. Navi are a lot more agile especially during combat.
They move like a human probably because animations are taken from far cry 6, bow animations are exactly the same
@@nenadmilovanovic5271 yeah it seems some stuff is somewhat recycled. They’re touting the world and how authentic it is to the IP but skimp on other parts like animations that are true to the films. We’ve seen Navi fight, they don’t strafe back and forth like they’re playing call of duty.
Im hoping its just because the reviewers havent mastered the mechanics yet. One review showed following a trail of spore plants that when passed by gave a speed boost. Maybe there will be speed buff food too
I liked James Cameron's Avatar: The Game. It was also made by Ubisoft. I'm hyped for this and when I see how close it looks to Far Cry it makes me really happy
I wish they would push this game for next year at least, feels like it needs a lot of polish
I really can't wait for this game to release. Looks incredible. It did give me some farcry/horizon vibes but they're both good games
Will for sure wait for a good discount as I have no doubt that this will still be very entertaining. But only after a couple of months of patches
To be honest i hope they push the game back to early next year so they have time to fix major bugs and fully polish the game

Far cry gameplay is very good. No doubts on the gameplay here but hope they get it polished

seems like another one of those games that have alot of potential that won’t come to fruition until well after release.

I love the Far Cry series, and this game looks awesome, but of course Ubisoft has a reputation, so I'll be waiting a week or two after release to see if I buy the game, but so far I'm very interested
Ubisoft are not the devs in this game. They are only the publishers.

I really hope they have some kind of hard mode similar like Guerilla difficulty in Far Cry 6. The game isn't particularly difficult even with that setting and it really needs it for the mechanics to matter at all.
I'm playing this game on the hardest difficulty, no human weaponry, and no HUD.
I’m liking what I’m seeing so far. I played the previous game on my ps3 and had so much fun with it. This looks like it’ll be great. Maybe even better.

First avatar game flopped. Was absolutely terrible hence it lost money 😂 this avatar looks better. But still is crap. Yeah graphics are good but thats it. Just looks like another far cry re skin but if your halpy to pay ubisoft for a update of far cry 6 which is based off far cry 4 then sure enjoy yourself but your the reason why games like this don't get any better. Because your happy wasting money on just and update. We have games like last of us. Red dead, god of war...absolute masterpieces worth every penny and then these companies bring out this crap and people like you still buy it 😂😂

Imagine if you start the game as human who goes against navi , you have your navi avatar body but only can use for few hours and it will disconnect you automatically afterword's . Latter in the game you have a choice to convert to navi and play limitless time as one.

Don’t like how it goes from first person to flying in third person it should give us options to play fully in 3rd person view !

It's worst here I feel, in Far Cry you can useally see the more because there are less mountains etc. Now you have huge trees blocking your view + the mountains, it was kind of a pain

It's undeniably clear this game should have been in 3rd person just from the mount gameplay alone! I can't believe Ubi just made this a Far Cry game in Pandora! Imagine how cool the exploration and parkour would have looked in 3rd person.

eh, I'd say 3rd person break immersion, which is what this game is going for.
Considering it’s third for flying the Ikran, there’s a small chance they could do an update after launch that has a third person option.

so i absolutely love pandora and am mainly interested in the game because i want more knowlege about the world. For example i wanna learn the names of animals in navi, more lore, religion, mindset, etc. To make it short, i am looking for more, what others would call "nerd knowlege" in general XD

Tbh seems like the trend rn is to hate on ubisoft games. Dont get me wrong they aren’t the be all end all but at the end of the day they’re not bad games. Like i loved Spiderman 2 but that did absolutely nothing new in terms of open world from the first game. But that doesnt mean its a bad game at all. Also the graphics werent much improved especially in performance mode.
I just wish it wasn't 1st person. 😞

Was this a canned demo? Did you get to choose a protagonist/character creation? Did you see any sort of transmog system, since there is rp stat elements.
Yeah i got a pre-made character and was thrown into the game, didn't see transmog sadly
I dont like the movies but I love Far Cry, this really reminds me of the mountains from FC4.
considering jor is basically ubisofts biggest fan, this being so critical of this game has basically plummeted any and all hope that this game could be better than mediocre to zero.
Maybe I expected more from this being the first next-gen ubi title, but this has been in development for a long time and was planned for 2021 I think first (before the second movie got delayed). I think people will still love it a lot and I hope I will too, my session left me curious but also not enormously hyped for it.

They should push the game back and i would for sure buy it, the graphics could use some work, a year time to develop it more would be good, it looks like itll have a cyberpunk like release

I still think this game would be more immersive if it was 3rd person, so you really feel like you’re moving around like a Navi, but I’m still excited to play this

I understand people's wants to see their Avatar more cuz I am one of them but the more I think of it the more I realize well they really want to do a merge you in the world of Pandora that's why it's not in third person more often but yeah it would be nice to sometimes be able to see your avatar because you can spend all that time customizing them but then not see them.

Far cry 5 is amazing for co op campaign. Don’t get worried. Ubisoft is good. The only far cry that was a disappointment for me was far cry 6

I think it's the same one but we can customize it after the fact (not sure about colour tho)

That would get annoying so quick having long animations for every time skinning or collecting for sure! What are side quests like...since no mini map how do you find other things to do??
There is a journal for missions and seems like the side quests start from the camps, so you will return to them often and then see NPCs asking for your help. Didn't have time to do any of those sadly
