How to Solve 4 Times Blinking

- In this video we gonna show, how to solve four time blinking problem in sony bravia LED TV.
This type of problem comes mainly from MAIN BOARD. In this condition,
we have to check voltage in buck converter or regulator IC & replace defected IC to fix this problem.

Great info. There’s another fix which is to remove that bl err pin from connecting to the power supply and send it to ground. Works the same way. Looks like Sony may have engineered their led tvs so that power is shut down following a single backlight or led pixel failure. Their advice points towards board failures when in many cases it’s just the sensors sending a signal to kill power for minor issues. 4 red leds can signify the display inverter failing but the test is unplug and follow advice for a factory reset after a few hours. Often you’ll get the tv working for 5 minutes or so clearly demonstrating that there’s no major hardware or board failure. Poor connections or sensors can result in the 4 red led blinking shut downs.

Great video. Thanks. I have a Sony KD-55XE9305. It powers up and displays fine for about 7 seconds and then automatically shuts down with red standby LED blinking four times. Would you think the mainboard is faulty and should I try the same diagnostics? Or would you think its the inverter or backlight issue? Many thanks.
Did you managed to fix your tv ? I got the same issue now .
IIRC, I had to ground one of the pins from the ribbon connector on the main board that connects to the inverter board. Probably one or some of your LEDs are fried and the inverter board is sending an error signal to mainboard which in turn switches off the TV.
I will never buy sony tv ever again

my friend. I have a sony XR-77-A80J have 4 blinking lights can it be similar issue mainboard ? turn TV on and once you see SONY logo the tv will shut down and blinking 4 red lights. sometimes it keep rebooting itself few times and then stop but everything it starts up about 10 sec and shut down. should I disconnect panel cable from mainboard and see if 4 blinking light still come on to rule out panel issue ?

I have an LG55LM5800 EDGE LIT led tv and the backlights turn off after about 20 minutes. their is a green led on the back of the power supply board that flashes 4 times after the backlight shuts off automatically after 20 minutes. Any idea what could be the problem? I replaced the power supply board already, it didnt help

is this the most common fault with the 4 red leds ?
