Dude. Yours is one of the best appliance repair videos I've ever seen, and I've watched a lot of them. You don't waste time. You cut to the chase. You show how it's done. Many thanks, my man.
I am so grateful to you for providing step by step instructions. I am a female and I will nervously take on the challenge of various projects; your video made this project easy. I'm glad you made mention of keeping track of the screws. As I took screws out I put them in ziploc bags and taped them to the part. Remembering where things go is an added A+ to you. I completed the project in less than an 1 hour. Thanks so much!!
Great, to the point and accurate video for changing the belt. However, the squeak from the dryer in our case actually came from the dryer drum's shaft and bearings. There are two small covers on the back and center of the dryer. One cover is over the other and it's total of four small screws (and they are the same type screws as well.) Simply remove the two covers and inspect the end of the drum shaft. We found some rusted dust particles when we removed the second cover from the shaft. The shaft bearings seemed fine, and I applied some liquid soap to the shaft bearings around the end of the shaft. You can also access the shaft on the inside of the washer body and apply a little lubricant there too. I slowly spun the drum by hand to make sure some liquid soap made into the bearings and put on about four to five good drops of soap on both sides of the washer body where the shaft and drum are mounted. I will be able to go back and use some graphite grease the next time it makes noise, and the repair of the actual problem is less than what is shown here (although this is a really good video.) My wife ordered the dryer belt, and it was too large and did not fit anyway after removing all these screws and following these steps. She'll return the belt and next time she'll use the model number to order the belt first. We ran a load of clothes and there was no more squeak at all.
I have a GE gfd85essnww dryer and when installing it it does not turn on. Do you have any idea what could happen? The dryer does not give any signal on the screen, on button, etc.

Hey. I changed my dryer belt and it’s stopping mid cycle, what could be the reason?
Great video. Love how you get to the process right away and do the steps quickly without wasting time with introductions and such.
