I have the same as you, the MacBook air and now I change to Matebook 14s because macbook its just for simply things that you can do, even though it can use up to 10 hours or more, but when you need to do something hard this need the matebook 14s.

i'm wondering if it would last well in time/ if you can optimize battery consuption since the i7 inside does consume a lot of energy
Appreciate the review. However need to highlight that you did not talk much on the touchscreen of the Huawei. In fact, nearly all reviewers who use Mac avoided talking much about the touchscreen on the Huawei or touchscreen on any Windows laptop. The Huawei's integration with other Huawei devices such as their phone or tablet is simply great. I have both the Matebook 14s i7 and a Huawei P30Pro and P50Pro. It integrate very easily. By the way, I agree on the webcam of the Huawei is potato... I have a cheaper Surface Go2 with 1080P resulution and it's webcam beats both Huawei and Macbook hands down.

@@butterflymoon6368 I did! But it felt better to use the trackpad. Might because Windows wasnt made for touch. :)
Advice for you is to remove the background music or lower it significantly since it's really distracting. 9:38 it's louder than the noise point you wanted to make there.

This laptop is the perfect mix of a Macbook and a Surface laptop!
You need to enable 90Hz in windows screen settings. Make sure you've enabled it.
you say that the 14s can handle watching youtube and documents "smoothly".
It can do much more, like Lightroom or Premiere Pro 4k ... and it's great for that too.
And the M1 is throttling a lot because it has no fans and therefore can't keep the CPU usage that high up for a longer time.
So the benchmarks are quite misleading in this case ...
Is the computer that was tested in this video .. working with 8 GB RAM or 16 GB RAM.
one of the thing that m1 or MAC cannot but 14s can do is to play games😎
exactly. I always get a headache trying to download anything. Fortnite ? Doesn't work. Cs go ? stutters. League of Legends ? Only on low resolution while 2x cheaper windows play full hd 60 fps. Fall guys ? Not on MacBook.
try upgrading to windows 11. battery life and performance will improve.

I don’t have a tool to measure, but it is most likely 400-500 nits, comparable to Macbook Air.

Makes me laugh how all Windows laptop companies say 10 hours battery and you just know its basically a lie. Macs were terrible battery before the M1 incidentally.

ive had the 2019 matebook 14 for years now, havent had a single issue though yes battery is bit bad, only now looking to buy a new one as the battery port is broken, im sure shall be a cheap fit but theres a few little issues but given most laptops last me 1-2 years max its done well i run it 27/4 and when i say 24/7i mean it its never turned off and always running music or videos when im not working on it... 14s has to be a winner over the new macbook air as i cant stand the notch camera..why bring that back crap layout and just ruins the look of mac but hey ho shall save about £600 buying the 14s and get a better product...other than battery but then again its always on my desk or bedside counter playing music so always plugged in again 27/7 7 days a week 365....its lasted bloody well from the start of 2019, shall likely get the charging port fixed and keep as secondary laptop Oh and i should mention this is just the cheaper rizon 5 and damn its done well considering it was only like £650
