    Covid didn’t help with this. Fear of giving Covid to others sent me back so far, I’m just now starting to climb back out.

    As a sufferer of responsibility OCD; willinging to sacrifice the lives and well being of a loved one for recovery, takes a level of courage I'm not sure I possess. Maybe with the aid of a therapist I could do it; I don't know. But, I do believe the courage to let a loved one suffer is needed to recover.

    Also good to hear that in classical OCD people worry about their own harm. I've had obsessions of doing awful things and only been worried about myself. This adds guilt and then makes the cycle even worse.

    He's right. I'd rather die than do this.....Therapy feels like you're risking the life of a loved one. That's just not ok. I'd like to recover but this is awful.. Honestly awful. Just do something with this stupid brain I have.

      Hi, how are you feeling yourself now?
      Just wanted to check in and remind you this shall pass. Nothing is permanent. I healed from ocd by doing L$D once time now I am more capable in life but still am recognizing all those ocd patterns I had, they almost feel like they stick forever. But you learn to monitor it. The more time passes the more you will get to know yourself. Sending you love, support and all my pozitive energy🥰 You will beat this my comrade!!

    Labels are only useful to some extent. I realise from my own research that I have this combined with scrupilosity. Where does one begin and the other end? Everyone's formations will be different. And, I find, it is always evolving!

    Right now because if Covid 19 I became responsibility OCD. I dont want to bring it home and pass it to my family.
    So at my house I cant touch things. If I have to touch it I wrap with tissue, etc I wash my hands a lot. Even I know that I don't have
    Covid 19 my brain say that I may have it. Cant huge my kids or wife. So hard time of my life now and hope that I can fix it. Even my car also.
    I cant let anyone in my car because have feeling that coronavirus might be on the seat, air, etc.
    Really wish there is something I can do about it.

    I feel too guilty to even state what my responsibility OCD is about in case someone else with responsibility OCD comprehends and takes on my kinds of worries as their own.

    Can it be about always having intrusive thoughts about protecting ones kids from harm?

    • @spocker22
      @spocker22 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used to have intrusive thoughts of my toddler walking into the road and getting splattered, or getting electrocuted, or mauled by a dog. All so very very vivid recreations I could see his poor body being torn apart. I'd have panic attacks at work causing so much distress. As he got older my intrusive thoughts lessened and now they come as responsibility or relationship OCD.

      If you think that you might have ocd i would definitly recommend seeing an OCD specialist/Psychiatrist, i have gone trough something similar, and i will recommend seeing a psychiatrist who is specialised in ocd

    What happens if people with responsibility OCD act the way they're afraid of? Do they become bad people?

    Is it normal not to be able to classify your OCD? If it is responsibility, religious, etc?

    • @rkeratiloe1
      @rkeratiloe1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your question is an OCD thought. You're seeking certainty by checking with others. An answer only feed the OCd

    • @19111959
      @19111959 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes of course it is...you're not meant to be an ocd 'expert' as well!
      An individual can have several forms of ocd ...there are so many forms/sub-types!
      Answering this from an information/knowledge point of view and so unlikely to agrevate the ocd in my view.

      Indeed I can so relate to the guilt when I was vegan. That’s what my thoughts were too related to vegans, SJW etc.
