A myth I saw somewhere else, but what happens if you life grip a friendly roadhog who is in the process of hooking an enemy? Like would the enemy just go flying around the map after hog or would hook just be cancelled
Even if you don’t speed up that sound barrier there’s still value in protecting him while in flight
Plus it could be used when the ult is needed but lucio is too far away to get there in time, very niche but plausible.

yes, although the tree branches do have some gaps so be careful. Overall though he was a good mei counter in my games tonight; he could keep high ground over her, rescue enemies that she isolated, dash away if she came at him. (The mei expressed frustration at getting 2 support counters in a row, which: fair.)
It's funny how emong also tested out if you can pedal platform teammates from zarya's graviton surge and yes, it works as well. However, zarya can place a graviton surge on the wall and that way you can't save teammates but you can just lifegrip one of them anyways so long as lifeweaver doesn't get caught in the ult
Does anyone know what happens if Zar gravs you on a platform lift on Hollywood? Does the grav move up with the platform or do enemies get out of grav from the platform? This Lifeweaver lift should act the same way as the Hollywood platforms do

When tree of life is up, can lifeweaver generate ult chage for next tree? If yes:
If the tree of life is destroyed early, can lifeweaver generate ult charge once the tree is broken or once the actual ult duration ends?
Lifeweaver cannot generate Ult charge while Tree of Life is active, but he can generate Ult charge once it is destroyed since destroying the Tree ends the Ult - I found this out while testing Lifeweaver in the Practice Range. Hope this helped!
If you life grip an ally and Roadhog hooks them at the same time, do they snap in half?

6:41 Something similar happened to me with Reaper's Wraith Form. Using it cancelled the life grip when I tried to yoink him out of the enemy backline.
I’d love a quick list of movement abilities that do/do not get you out of a friendly lifeweaver’s grip. I know soldier’s dash doesn’t, but I’m not sure about some: ball’s grapple, brig’s shield bash, Lucio’s anything?, bap’s power jump, junkrat’s concussion mine… at this point I think it’s a shorter list of who can’t get out of lifeweaver’s grip. (Which is great, don’t get me wrong.)

Can you leave translocator on top of a petal platform? If so, could the platform be lifted up to the ceiling if someone gets off mid-lift, and then does the translocator get destroyed?

Emong made a video as well he does cover this topic. I believe the answer is no translocator either falls off or explodes if in air. Should probably fact check me on this though

No idea about stealth activating the platform though. I'll have to test that out on my own.

Speaking from a game developer's point of view, I'd guess no. Most likely the raycast checks for LOS would begin inside the collision mesh, and raycasts beginning inside a mesh typically don't hit that mesh.

Since the Tree of Life comes with 1000 HP, I'm wondering if Bob would shoot it if there's no enemy in his sight.
If you place a petal on the ground and then Tree of Life on it and activate it with your own character, then it goes up. and still heals underneath the petal.
I think you can also lift up enemy LW's Tree of Life to remove the enemy team's cover, but it's very tricky to get the hitboxes right, since the petal will be around the Tree's edges.
Like zarya's, another ult he can bypass with life grip is sigma's gravitic flux

With the Sym turrets, Tree of Life has became Tree of Death
The lucio beat pull to the ground seems like it is useless but it could save your lucio mid beat so your team gets the extra health.

You did a few about Bob, but what I’ve been wondering is can you use Life Grip to pull Bob? Could allow you to move him into a more favorable position if Ashe misplaced him or the enemy team moves.

Regardless, placing a Tree in front of Bob seems like one of the best counters to a very strong ult (depending on bob’s DPS)
Remember that Bob and torb turret will try shooting the same targets that Ashe or Torb are shooting though
I was really hoping to see a Lifeweaver roadhog long pull myth
Also, it's possible to lift the tree up after placing it on a Platform and then dropping it back down.
Since ToL cuts LOS from Blizzard drone preventing players from being frozen I wanted to know if it's possible to 'encase' the drone by putting a tree under it (making it stuck inside it) and preventing it from freezing anyone anywhere (by cuttiing the LOS in 360deg) but it's not. The drone will get knocked aside by the tree, and shifted from the center of the Blizzard. Which is quite interesting, and possibly the only way to shift it horizontally.
It's also possible to lift the drone upwards with the Platform, potentially effectively cancelling the blizzard altogether (if you're quick enough to jump off it before you'll get frozen yourself.

I’ve not tested it in season 4 but in season 3 if a wrecking ball was in fireball and went through a sym tp the fireball damage is doubled to 100 instead of 50

Can the petal platfrom go THROUGH a payload? I mean you put the platform on the ground,the payload is above it and THEN you activate the platfrom. What happens in this instance? o.O

I'm a symmetra main in a 4 stack with a Diamond Reinhardt and 2 support players - we thought Wife Leaver's pull would help our tank the most but it turns out it actually helps me the most.
I'm a very aggressive symm player, on one Route 66 game we had today I didn't die once and just melted my way through the enemy hog and echopharmacy. It allows me to push even further to get triple beam charge then get out instantly allowing me to more reliable get picks - since I no longer have to worry about my tp breaking, I can stay in the fight longer.
wow, ball being able to grapple onto the platform might be a nice synergy for a ball comp

I life gripped the other support out of a Rein charge earlier in a tough team fight and A) I think it was the only reason we won the fight, so I'm glad it works and B) The Rein was so confused. He literally looked around like "where did she go???"
Can you cancel the immortality field by putting the tree in it like with the Mei wall? And can you pull a Pharah while they're using their ultimate? seems useful. Does pedal platform unfreeze people stuck in Mei's ult since it breaks the line of light for them?
You can Pull anyone with a Channeled Ult while they Ult. Some you have to wait for their activation animation finish first, though. Conversely, anyone can Ult while being Pulled. And, specifically to your question, Pharah has been tested. As has Reaper, Cassidy, Orisa, and DVa.
You can also put tree of life on top of the flower platform, you can even activate the platform to lift up the tree along it
I noticed this thing, not sure if it's mentioned in this video, but if Genji dashes during life grip it actually cancels it.

Mei interacting wirh Lifeweaver's Grip does allow for some troll, but much like everything about Mei's wall, it has a lot of potential with the proper reaction time

It's not that special. Ana (sleep or nano), Bap (lamp), Kiri (suzu), Lucio (beat), DF (punch), Orisa (javelin), another Rein (charge), Hog (hook), Sig (rock), Zarya (bubble or grav) and Sombra (hack) could already do that.

I wouldn't call it underrated. Considering there's a temporary Arcade game mode called Bob and Weave, which is literally two teams of Lifeweavers with a Bob, and so that combo is constantly used. xD

I've had the tree of life move with the push robot, it's wonky and inconsistent but I think you might have to place it inbetween the bot and barricade while it's already moving.
Actually yesterday when I was playing the tree was moving with the robot while it was pushing. I think it was a bug but it helped the team ALOT

A friend of mine took me out of zaryas gravity surge with the petal platform placing it under and lifting me right out
For all effects and purpose tree of life seems to have the same kind of hitbox as roofs and other surfaces such as the roof of midtown’s first point train, in which you can’t stand and it slides you until you fall
Wasn't mentioned in the video but you can place a petal under a grav and it will lift everyone out of the grav. Multiple Zarya ult counters
If you haven’t found out by now, you can put the tree of life ON the petal platform. It will only work if you place the petal platform down first, and then put the tree on top of it. If you raise it, it will still heal you too. Unsure if it’ll heal while directly underneath it.

One I found out quickly was petal platform can leave Zarya's grav lol. Not sure if this will be patched but everyone in the grav floated to the skies!
Can you trigger the petal platform when it's sitting below the payload? It seems wider than the payload so you should be able to trigger it, but I wonder what happens (maybe just goes through the payload I'd guess).
actually got practical use out of dying before the pull ends, i pulled a cass as a dva ult was about to go and it killed me but saved cass, his kit seems really fun but really REALLY weird to play
I've seen this attempted a couple times with both Dva and Junkrat's ults. It can work, but needs to be timed well, otherwise you're just bringing a teammate into the funny hitbox of death.
0:47 you can actually move the robot and the tree will stay inside him, making it mobile. Bit tricky to position but i've already seen it more than once.

Can you cancel a friendly Junkrat ultimate by using life grip during the animation? (same window as you can cancel it with a Sombra hack)
I wanna know if you can climb on the tree of life (hanzo, genji, kirik) or wallrode/surf it (lucio), or even if it can be used as an obstacle for a guardian angel (mercy) to charge the superjump like other enviroment obstacles do, and maybe if sojourn’s slide will bump into it or glide around like dva’s mech on the enemy petal platform on both the petal and the tree of life!

I totally agree. Maybe they need to do what they did with dodge abilities and give the protection but not the displacement option
@@Das_Ungeheuer Or bring back the Super Oppressive Graviton Surge that locks out all movement. Period. But that might make Zarya TOO strong since Grav would no longer have a counter at that point. I think that's why they walked back that change in the first place: because it became too oppressive and uncounterable.

1:30 the tree of life actually does travel on the robot, it looks so funny we had it in a game i could send the code
-since its blocking mei's ult, can you put the tree ON hte ult to completely isolate her ult form all angels ( and therefore "canceling" her ult ) ? How does it work with other static objects , can you place them in the tree to negate them ? (Dva bomb, torb / sym turets, etc ?)
- Does shatter get thought the tree ? Does the petal platform block shatter ?
- can sombra hack the tree ( not her ult)?
- can genjy dash thought the tree or does it count as a blocking object ? Same for the pettal platform.
for the ana nano in lifegrip can you test if she can nano someone while being pulled? It'd be crazty if both endpoints are behind cover and she can sneaky nano when she sees them.
Surely you could TP the Tree of Life to be on point where you want it to be in order to heal burst wherever it lands. By working with Symmetra who's further ahead of you who sets up a teleporter access to somewhere you can't see, and then placing it on top of the TP to TP the tree to the exit TP.

Tree cannot be Teleported because Tree is not a Projectile and has no way of activating the Teleporter.
Somehow I did actually put it on the robot. I think it placed itself on the wall it pushes so it does move.
What happens to Symmetra's turrets when the tree goes away? Do they float in mid-air or fall?

Hey karq,the tree actually travels with the robot, it happened to me twice in game today.
sym placing turrets on the tree of life or wrecking ball grappling to the tree of life could be called forbidden fruit play :P
I'll probably test these myself anyway, but a few ideas.
1) Does a raised Petal Platform placed on a map's moving platform travel with the map platform or stay suspended in one spot?
2) Can Petal Platform raise up Snowball? (Especially useful on Oasis University)
3) Does Petal Platform support Mei walls, and if so, what kinds of shenanigans happen when the wall rises with the platform?
4) Do traps, mines, etc on a dismissed Petal Platform fall, get destroyed, or stay suspended? Junkrat, Ball, etc.
Emongg tested a few of these, so I'll try and answer these from memory.
1) I don't think he tested this.
2) Yes. Mei's ult has no effect on those below the platform while Snowball is on the platform.
3) I think it does, probably works the other way around too.
4) I don't think any stay suspended. Most get destroyed with the platform, such as Sombra's translocator, Junkrat's trap (maybe his mine too), and others of that nature. Good luck landing one of Ball's mines on a platform though.
I got one, does the tree of life interrupt kitsune rush’s path like a solid object for kiriko?
In one of my games someone managed to place the tree on the robot and it did move with the bot.
If you are in an enemy dome with any enemy and PPP yourself up will it also lift the enemies and/or the Winston dome?
the grip on zarya's grav is such a huge zarya nerf. hopefully wifeleaver's huge hitbox makes it so zarya can farm him
