Additionally, not only will rein be able to break it with charge, they will also reduce the pylon's hp and its heal per second in a future balance patch.

Torb and Illari have an interaction together where he asks for the pylon's schematics, so it would make sense
@DoubleL11862 I just want the satisfaction of the connection in gameplay. Also the idea that either torb swinging his hammer or the hammer itself just has the magical ability to repair any peice of tech is funny.
It works on Bastion too, so why not her pylon.

I think I saw in a match that the healing pylon won’t try to heal someone that’s been hit by Ana’s nade, even if they’re the lowest health percentage. It will heal someone else until the nade wears off, so no wasted heals.
Maybe test that one out?

Also for Symmetra, if the healing pylon is ALREADY OUT she can use her teleporter and it will move along. Same with how sym sets up turret bombs. Illari doesnt have to JUST throw it into the TP for it to work :))
Illari is from Peru and speaks Spanish and Quechua (as you can hear both in her voice lines). In Quechua the pronunciation of 'll' is like the 'lli' in the English pronunciation of "biLLIon" or "miLLIon" compared to the Spanish "y" sound for "ll"; therefore, KarQ and those pronouncing it like "Illiari" are pretty close. The actual phonetic pronunciation would be "eeL-YAH-rri".
She also says her own name in the Quechua pronunciation in her official Origin Story video at 2:01 for those who haven't watched it.

This is also how she says it in LatAm and Spain spanish versions of the hero origin and in-game but Spanish speakers will try to correct you because the “lli” (LL sin yeísmo pronunciation) is not very common anymore.

Videos like these are really important cuz I'm too lazy to test stuff myself and legitimately thought you could heal through barriers 💀
For a niche case, it would be good to know how long a pulse of healing from the pylon will follow its target for once released. Like if a Sombra gets pulsed at but tp's away before it heals, does the pulse follow her back to her translocator location? Does the heal go through walls having already been locked on and deployed?
I have found a really fun side effect. If Doomfist is low on HP and goes into his ultimate, the Healing Pylon will still target him while he is in is ultimate. That means you can see the exact position of Doomfist, because the Healing Pylon is targeting him.
Man that healing interaction with kitsune is odd. You would think that the resource would get used up faster. Not like you get more ammo in primary fire.
bit weirder since, afaik, beams like winston/zarya left click just uses up more ammo and doesn't add any dps

I think it could be because she’s the second hitscan without ammo. her heal beam is actually a bunch of small hit scan dots. Her gun has an ammo that’s based on activation time like Moira not the amount of healing dots she’s shooting. so she shoots faster without using more ammo and her Energy bar seperatly recharges faster following the same rules as moiras heal. Illaria heal is essentially a narrow version of Dva’s gun but you can’t see the bullets.
Now I need to test if bap field and kitsune rush speed up moiras piss spray, since its actually just piss blobs she’s shooting.

@@diablotry5154 I meant in her secondary fire. Her primary has ammo but her secondary fire uses her resource bar as ammo and she doesn’t reload it. Her secondary is still clearly a hit scan gun since it stops at the first character hit and heals in small increments.

4:44 If the pylon does have a hurtbox, then it should prevent dva bomb. I believe your set-up along the wall revealed illari feet, thus not having any effect. If it was fully on the ground, and you crouch behind it (or smaller character models tracer/ana) could feasibly survive
yeah, dva bomb doesnt check for center of the hitbox, it checks it all, if even your little toe is visible you get killed (ive been killed on maps where the payload has a bigger gap under it)
@@XiaoYueMaoI believe, it just has a couple of LOS point checks on the hitbox, since I was able to survive the bomb by standing behind a street lamp a number of times
I think that actually would be cool if sunlight did increase her dmg but I can see why it would be weirdly balanced.
if they actually put it in for flavour it would have be an increase/decrease of 1 or smt, nothing that would actually make a difference
@@koraxinon4083Even the smallest of numbers have to be carefully considered due to damage breakpoints for health with abilities such as Mercy/Ana boosts, Discord, etc. A seemingly trivial number isn't always so trivial

@@KingShibe no he can suck the ult, but let us say, Pharah's ult gives him additional health, sucking Illiari's ult gives him nothing. Just like sucking Zarya ult
its because he gets health based upon the projected damage of the ult, so ults which dont do direct damage you cant feasibly know how much health it converts to, though the ults do a small amount of base damage and at the very least that should be applied (50 or so)

Even though the projectile itself passes through, Lifeweaver's platform can block the initial explosion of captive sun if its the ground beneath the platform. So if Illari fires her ult at you from far enough away and you can manage to get up off the floor fast enough on a platform, you may be able to avoid being hit by the explosion and save yourself from getting sunstruck. Life grip also prevents an ally from getting marked, even if they get hit by captive sun during the life grip, which is odd because effects like anti and earthshatter still get applied while only blocking damage.

Well there's inconsistencies in this game so it's not unreasonable to test it out...like Ram being able to punch through LW petal but genji cant slash through with blade
@@samalexx5835 actually firestrike, captive sun and ram punch are melee, like literally melee, thats how they pass through shields and people (thats on melee code). the reason genji cant slash through it despite it being a melee is that ONLY a melee can pass through the petal, NOT people, so while genjis slash COULD pass through, since HE cant, he gets stuck on the petal, which is too far from the player on top to get slashed

The Mei interactions are interesting. This would be kinda useless, but you could combine the ice block trick with petal platform to make the floating pylon even higher.
Hi @KarQ, about the pylon on Busan : he can go under the ground and still active. And when the wall goes up, the pylon still active and not destroyed

An interesting bug I found was that if you copy illari with echo and the sun struck procs after you Transform backs, you don’t get kill credit for it and the kill feed just shows the sun struck killing the opponent but not your name
About cleanse effects: I've a replay, with a Moira fading the same time the suntruck effect triggered, she died from the explosion at the exit of her fade. (she didn't stay still)
If echo duplicates illari, uses her ult and applies sunstruck to someone, do they lose the sunstruck effect if echo exits the duplicate?

Any sort of object that actually is physical makes the noise/ effect of the matrix but doesn’t apply any sort of effect since they don’t actually do anything (Like tossing a Sym turret through it)

Pylon + Bap Barrier is kinda dope AF.
I got a few questions regarding overwatch 2:
1) does sombras passive apply to any kind of hacked target? f.e. sombra 1 hacks a player, does sombra 2 also get the 40% dmg increase aganst the hacked player?
2) can DOT effects stack? (f.e. Ashes grenade + anas sniper, ramattras ultimate + ashes grenade, junker queens bleed + anas rifle + ashes grenade etc.)
3) (as far as i know) torbjörns ultimate deals more damage against armor, does this also apply to his normal weapon?
4) is there a limit to how often hanzos dragon strike can be reflected/can it be reflected again if a firendly genji also uses his reflect on the arrow before it turns into a dragon (and how many times is that possible)?
5) can shield regenerate when influenced by anas grenade/Junker queens ultimate?
6) can Torbjörn repair allied 'constructs' like life weavers petal platform and tree of life, symmetras teleport, illaris turret etc?
Sombra's passive just checks if the target is hacked, meaning all Sombra's deal bonus damage to the hacked target.
Yes, dots stack with both other dots and the same dots. (For example, Two Ashe dynamites will both deal separate dots at the same time on the same target)
Rivet Gun's damage does not change during Molten Core.
They can continue to deflect it until they either miss or deflect goes on cooldown.
Antinade and Rampage and/or Bleed both stop shield regeneration.
Törb being able to repair anything other than his turret is an extremely common myth. No other deployable can be repaired by his hammer.

I mean there's almost no healing ability in the game that can go through barriers, not even zen ult. So idk why you would assume Illari's could. If you dont play much support then I totally understand though
@@masift1494 I think Moira and Mercy healing goes through barriers too. I heard "healing beam" and my brain just lumped them all together.
@@huepeople Moira's healing spray & orb do not go through barrier, but her ultimate does. But yeah Illari's heal acts almost exactly like Zarya & Sym beam, it's the same range and is blocked by the same things. On a nice note, because it's a beam, while her healing pylon can be eaten/deflected by Sig/DVa/Genji/probably Orisa, her healing beam probably can't be :)
Theory: Sombra is too damn OP for Overwatch...

i think the weirdness with what can pass through lifeweaver's platform is because it acts like a shield, thats why fire strike and ram punch can go through it
But then melees like genji swing and dash should also pass through.

Does captive sun need to hit the ground to apply the marks? If not does it do damage? How far is the max travel?
Does healing pylon heal more in kitsune rush?
Can pylon block sojourn disruptor shot if it is being fired at your team? What other projectiles can healing pylon block?
Can you put sym turrets on healing pylon?
Can you put healing pylon inside a torb turret, echo duplicate pylon or bob? If so can one turrets hitbox cover the pylon?
Can you teleport a healing pylon if the sym teleporter when it is next to the pylon and it is on a wall?
Can you put an ally mei ice wall on top of pylon and can pylon still heal or is it destroyed?
Can mei cryofreeze on top of pylon?
Does meis ultimate freeze pylon? If so does it stop healing?
Can a sym place teleporter on top of a enemy pylon? Can you stand on enemy pylon?
Can pylon be booped?
Can pylon be affected by negative status effects? Bleed Anti etc
If pylon is hacked by sombra and damaged but not destroyed will it still regenerate its shields while its hacked by sombra?

And I swear that they changed Potg's this patch to have Illari more frequently shown off in place of other heros. My friend tells me it might be just shutdowns being much easier with Illari but I honestly think that it's been skewed to show her off more often to everyone in the match.
Thing is, everyone and their mother is playing Illari right now (literally, my mom plays and she's been one tricking her since launch), and Illari is a PotG MACHINE with that ultimate. Even if you do nothing but hit the ult on 3 people, if someone else does the extra damage to kill, you're still doing like 160 damage to everyone on the enemy team, more if they chain detonate against each other. It's an absolutely ridiculous ultimate that can kill more reliably than most DPS ults. Plus, Illari can also get environmentals, her high burst healing makes it easy to get saves, and her damage style makes getting Sharpshooter plays a lot easier.
TL;DR you're seeing Illari plays because she's fucking broken and does too much damage. She's launch Brig 2.
the game doesn't expect supports to make big plays so when they do it gives them PotG. Other supports have been tuned down, like Moira and Brig, so that they don't get too many PotG's. Earlier in OW2 I was getting potg like half the time with Brig, but now it's a lot less.
So far my fav hero. So much fun to play. Can't wait until she comes out in comp.

I had an echo teammate use Illari ult, sun struck was triggered on the enemy after copy ended and I took damage from it as well. Seems like echo loses ownership of it when copy ends.

I'm curious how much slower you can get when marked by Illari's ultimate + Ramattra's Vortex (& Mei Cryo beam).
I dont think slows stack because if they did we’d see a lot more Ram Sojourn Mei comps

Not so much a myth, but the Echo duplicate made me think of it, if echo duplicates Illari, uses the ult at the end of duplicate, does the explosion potential wear off immediately? I always find it interesting how Dva bomb persists but wrecking ball mines fade almost instantly.
