How do your M2C braces hold up? Mine is all M2Cd but I find myself frequently snapping the 6971 tower braces and ripping the screws out of the rear bulkheads. I'm considering making a custom brace to run between the tops of the towers.
Overall my braces hold up well. I have bent or snapped the original 6971 part before, but not the V3 version combined with the latest version rear chassis brace and 7075 tower. Think I went with the longest screws possible to tie the rear brace into the bulkhead. I use to run a custom tower to tower brace, but ended up destroying both bulkheads in a single bad wreck 😱. It acted like a battering ram.

Once again killer bash, I'm thinking about picking up mt410 but I think it should have come with aluminum caps and some kind of grab bar like the Kraton or savage to protect the body from roof landings but never the less looks like a solid truck!

I've been RCing for 20+ years and it's the best kit-rig I've ever owned.. so durable it's weird lol! the kraton is a good truck and i still own one but they don't even compare dude, mt410 is so much better at everything.. might be alittle more $ at the register but the kraton will cost u far more in the long run

Nice 6s bashing! I'm not sure if it's just the big Trenchers I'm using, but I overheat the motor and ESC on 4s and I'm using a 1700KV motor/15 tooth pinion. I put some fans on and that helped, but I think I'll try some smaller tires even though I like the characteristics of the bigger tires more. Do you check temps at the end of the bash too? Are you using a square piece of aluminum stock for the tower to tower brace? I bent one like that and then went to a square piece of steel stock. I have no plans on that bending.:)
Stewdogg Stew thanks Stew, what an AWESOME basher this rig is!!! Yeah if your ESC is rated high amps and no rolling or drivetrain resistance, my guess would be the Trenchers making it toasty perhaps. I'm also wondering if that high torque motor is actually undergeared with 15 tooth, may carefully sample a bigger pinion just to see. My tower brace is actually C- channel aluminum that's intended to fit 1/4" plywood edges from Home Depot. Been running the same material on the Kraton and it's taken a serious beating...Lol. Going back to bigger wheels next bash, probably Backflips again on 6s with a 16 tooth pinion. Checked my temps three times without issue. Hottest motor temp was my goal of 150, ESC maybe 128 max. LOVE this MT man, excited to really get the shocks tuned to my liking. Plan on running 800/55 weight up front and sticking with 700 rear for now.👍👍🙋🙋😵😵😵😲😱👊👊
Yeah, I have some tuning to do on mine too:) I guess I might try a bigger pinion and/or some Backflips I had a C-channel on my MT410 first and bent it on both sides, that's why I went to square stock instead. So, are you going to stay with 6s? It really is a very fun truck!
Stewdogg Stew I'm planning on staying 6s for now, but we'll see. Fortunately, my tower brace held up fine, just glad it was ON...Lol!!! Going to gear down from 18 to 16 and try the Backflips again on 6s. Figure I'll just feather the throttle and keep an eye on the temps, but still most impressed with stock Arrma BLX185 electronics. The Savox servo was a much needed upgrade. LOVING this MT no doubt, great FUN rig all around.👍👍😁😁😵
same issue here stew i am running therx8 gen 3 with the 1900 kv on 4s 16 tooth with the 3.8 badlands mx38 after 8minutes on a rc track it stopped motor wires came off motor was at 280 degrees going to get the tekin truggy motor

Yeah this rig is so light and agile in comparison to the Outcast, really demands different inputs on throttle and steering for sure. 6s was a bit challenging, but the smaller wheel mass this bash was the trickier part in getting the wheel spin and rotational timing down. The smaller Badlands are much less forgiving with hard landings and way slower to rotate and correct the rig midair...Lol. LOVE this MT so far, handles SICK like a race basher!!! Think once she's fully dialed in she'll be an another level no doubt. She speeds and flies much like my Truggified Typhon but with a higher CG and WIDE stance, unlike any rig I've bashed before. I'm impressed to say the least.👍👍💪😵😵😵😱😲👊👊
2040 RC it's already a pricey kit in the States, not sure I'd spend extra for import costs. I'd shop eBay for something closer to home personally. Great truck no doubt, but total cost and then parts availability for you must be considered.👍👍

what are your thoughts on this in comparison to the Kraton EXB? I want to build a truck with my son, EXB was my first though, but the more I learn about the MT410 the more I like it. You've used both, in your opinion how do they compare? He's 11 btw, probably too much truck but YOLO. 🤣. He would love the MT body over the truggy, but I want to go with what handles the best and is most fun and usable.
Both are good options 👍. Just realize Tekno hasn't revised this platform in almost 4 years. The MT41O is light and nimble with it's race borrowed parts. It's durable to a point, but has plastic braces and very thin driveshafts. The diff housings don't lock the input bearings in as well as ARRMA's metal shielded cases. I would opt for the EXB no question. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Both power systems haul ass with the right gearing. Tough question to answer 🤔. If you keep the truck light, the 2200 has awesome top end and rips on 4s. It gets hot on 6s in warmer weather no question. If you think you'll eventually go 6s, the BLX would be my choice. Otherwise either motor can be geared to rip on 4s.
RCbashing the KRATON thanks brother, she's wicked FUN and tough no doubt. Glad the rock ledge on that jump face I found didn't rip the front end off...Lol. Tried running her yesterday with heavier Big Rock wheels and ESC crapped out, wasn't even warmed up yet, then Outcast ESC crapped. Set button isn't working on either of them and no throttle. May try Hobbywing max 8 combo. Just borrowed Andrew's Outcast ESC to get her up again. Do you happen to know if Hobbywing program card works on Arrma BLX ESCs???👍👍😵😵😲😱😱😎👊
do you think having punch up to ten has anything to do with it.. might be straining esc ... i only had issues with the one that caught fire.. that was because that jumper plug came loose on bash pryer and probably had voltage surge... them jumpers are nothing but trouble.. i would think the card would works on esc but never tried it... i keep my punch at 8
RCbashing the KRATON not sure bro, I backed my punch down to 7 like 2 months ago on my Outcast with Nero motor, and had this one at 7 too. I'd think quick throttle bursts would spike voltage surge, but both ESCs stopped working after landing fairly average jumps. Wondering if the circuit boards got damaged??? Just Crazy that it happened back to back within minutes of one another. Left me pissed and shaking my head...Lol. May just ship them to Arrma for warranty.👍👍🤔🤔👊

Norcopunk yeah that jump was a mystery until about 3 hours ago...Lol. Went there a bit ago to do a MT vs Outcast vid with my buddy Tdogg, but had electrical issues with both rigs!!! WTF!!! In any case, appears someone had shoveled out the corner of that jump I hit to gap onto the 2nd mound, but left a HUGE outcropped rock ledge on the lip. Must have snagged the front of the MT and sent her ass over tea kettle...Lol!!! I kept wondering how she flipped so crazily off that jump face, but never looked at it. In any case, need to get electronics sorted and will do a shoot out vid. Tonight was a HUGE bummer, was testing Big Rock wheels on the MT on 6s and one starting coming unglued before the motor stopped running. Thing BLX 185 ESC is crapping out, set button no longer working....????? MT410 is BADASS fun no doubt, but Outcast is no slouch either, just a bit "chunkier". More to follow soon bro.👍👍😵😵😵😲😱🙋🙋👊

72nivo it would fit, but it's a bit wider than the C-10 body and with the narrow Tekno chassis would likely have much greater wind drag and parachute effect with really big or high speed jumps. Aside from that, ARRMA charges too much for the Outcast body. I refuse to pay for a replacement unless I could score a screaming deal somewhere...Lol. Ohhh and this jump park is actually pretty addicting. I try not to go too often cuz she's a parts breaker that spot. 👍👍😲😲😵😵😱👊
Daniel Navarro that crossed my mind prior to ever getting the MT, but the stock ARRMA BLX185 ESC doesn't recognize 5s properly and causes premature shutdown or voltage cut-off. You can switch ESC to NiMH mode and run an external cut-off alarm, but I don't own any 5s packs to try it. 6s on the MT is really overpowered, but I'm fine with it, just need to adapt and overcome and let the tires get some grab. I really enjoy driving my completely overpowered Backslash. Makes it more challenging and has crazy Boost you can use in careful doses when the stars(wheels) align just right...Lol. 🙋🙋👍😵😵😵😲😱👊👊
When you say "wheel mass" does that affect you being able to do backflips? The reason I ask is I put my smaller badlands on my Hobao hyper MT and it is harder to backflip with them.
Adam Baker exactly. The smaller and lighter the wheels, the harder it is to correct in mid-air and do flips with. The taller wheels mean more top speed as well, but you have to watch temps cuz it's basically like gearing up. The heavier the wheel mass, the more potential strain on your electronics. I like the offset of the smaller Badlands 3.8 and for 6s ripping, but they definitely don't flip as easy as the bigger Backflips.👍👍😵😵😵😲😱😎👊👊
Rich Duperbash awesome thanks.i have a set of rc4wd 40 series mudslingers. I tried them on an EMaxx and they tore the diffs up. Learned my lesson. They are more for a summit or a big crawler.
Adam Baker no problem bro. Glad you mentioned the diffs. Bigger wheels definitely put more strain on them and the servo. Still can't say enough good things about the Backflip tires though. The rubber compound has perfect grip and slip, much longer lasting and less ballooning than Proline IMHO.👍👍👊

twrecks116 It is sorta nuts how high and far these rigs can handle being launched so long as the landing goes OK...Lol. Your final pinion choice really depends on 4s vs 6s voltage, motor size/kv, and wheel choice. 2000kv is really about perfect IMHO. 16-18 tooth is generally OK, but I check my temps and gear up to about 150F motor. The BLX185 motor did great. Now running the Max 8 2200kv combo and it's a bit tall for anything beyond 16-17 tooth even with hard 4s running and bigger MT wheels. 🙋🙋😵😵😵😲😲💪👊👊

The Kraton is more stable all around and the ultimate HUGE air Beast. The Outcast is MAD fun and more challenging to control. Flips and wheelies very easily. Both are highly capable no doubt. The Kraton is better for really high speed bashing though. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Pain in the RC thanks so much brother, still need to adjust a bit to her lighter weight and nuances a bit, but the truck is a RIPPER no doubt!!! Will play around with the tuning a bit and get some heavier tires back on next go. Couldn't rotate/flip and make corrections fast enough mid-air for my driving style and missed having the extra tire cushion on the bigger jumps. VERY fast/capable rig indeed!!! 👍👍😵😵😵😱😱😲👊

Great bash bro. The truck took a ton of hard shots and kept going. That last hard shot was brutal. I'm surprised the whole front end did not get grenaded. I think Tekno has built a truck that is near the limit of durability with current technology and materials. It's quite a feat. The guys at Tekno said the tires they most often recommend are the ones you were running. I think tire choice is a lot like shock tuning. It's always a compromise.
bierstadt77 yeah I edited out some regular jumps to show some bad ones and illustrate it's durability. Vid was just too long otherwise...Lol. Yeah it's definitely a BEAST. Did realize that really bad landing actually tweaked the A arm plastic a bit, just noticed last night, sort of twisted and buckled it, but no cracks!!! Don't plan on flailing like that again, but crap happens. Any other RC would likely have taken that hit MUCH worse. The Badlands 3.8 are nice cuz they also allow good chassis slap, but I really need more tire cushion and wheel mass for my style of bashing. Hoping to find a perfect size soon. Backflip tires definitely do not allow easy chassis slap, I've noticed. Probably putting excessive strain on the arms, towers, and shocks. Still getting this rig dialed in no doubt.👍👍😵😵😵😲🙋👊👊
Rich Duperbash Here is my 15 pack report on my MT410. I love it. It's super fun and overall very durable. I've have had some problems which I'll list. 1. Bent two sets of long screws that hold rear bumper on. 2. Broke 2 body posts. 3. Badly damaged the plastic piece that holds the rear body posts on. 4. Completely destroyed a heavily reinforced body. 5. Replaced rear diff case because of bent screws (May not have been necessary). I've reordered a new and different body. The proline raptor body is no good. I would avoid it. I also think the rear bumper design needs some improvement. It basically was damaged after 3 packs. It collapses on itself and becomes distorted very quickly. I have installed the T Bone rear wheelie bar and it seems to be solid and is doing its job well. I recommend it. The truck is still drivable with the damaged stock bumper but it provides little protection once damaged. In addition, the body mounting system is kinda weak imo. It may be the raptor body though. It is ill suited to this truck. I have had to spend some money to keep the Mt410 up and running but I've also driven it pretty hard too. I still think it's the highest quality, toughest truck available. It's super smooth and fast and handles really well considering its short wheelbase. I've had some heat issues as well but that is not really the trucks fault. I'm still working out the temp issues and have ordered a lower kv motor to run with the big trenchers.
bierstadt77 thanks much for the feedback. I also believe it's a wonderful truck with awesome handling, blazing speed, and very impressive durability. I have way less packs in her, but have found some vulnerabilities too. That brutal take off and landing (actually hit a rock outcropping off that jump face) twisted/buckled the same side A-arm pretty badly, enough to bend the sway bar and slightly alter the final wheel position. Really wouldn't expect any RC to withstand that honestly, surprised it didn't snap...Lol!!! Rear bumper fairly tweaked after first bash but still functional. Bent right rear driveshaft enough to have to straighten. Small both sides crack to rear diff case at upper attachment to tower, just next to rear plastic chassis support. I never noticed it until after the 2nd bash, but recall not having a tower to tower brace on the first bash to better support this. Like I mentioned prior, no RC in unbreakable, but this Tekno is VERY durable. The body posts don't fit very snuggly and could be impoved no doubt. All in all, love the design and performance of this rig, but she does have pretty thin driveshafts and atleast some potential weak spots with really big air/harder bashing. 👍👍😵😵😲👊👊

Anthony Arnold thanks bro. I wouldn't compare it to the Kraton only because of the difference in wheel base with the Kraton BEAST. The 2 rigs handle completely different by their very design and stance. I'd venture to say lots of people may not truly enjoy the SWB platform as a "better" pick then the Kraton platform for their specific tastes. I LOVE bashing both platforms and switching off even mid bash between rigs. In comparing the Tekno and Outcast of similar stance and dimensions, I'd say "better" depends on interpretation and taste as well as overall value. The MT is so much lighter that it may be harder to control for some, despite its butter smooth driveline and handling. I really love ALL my ARRMAS and have very quickly fallen in love with the MT. There's no question that Tekno put serious thought into this awesome kit with design and higher end parts, but it's too early for me to make a more global assessment. The Tekno definitely gets the nod for 4s speed and plush suspension/crisp handling. The diffs, chassis, towers, and arms all seem superior in strength also, but more field "testing" again needed. I plan to touch on this much more with detailed comparisons between the two, but need to learn this Tekno ANIMAL a bit more first. Thrilled with it after 2 bashes, but like the wife, wasn't ready to marry her after the second date...Lol. That said, does look like you get the quality and performance you're paying for with this BADASS MT410. I'm EXTREMELY impressed thus far. Just wondering if the MT is currently in a class of it's own. Will say flat out, it's definitely a quicker basher. But thrills come in different forms for everyone and FUN and personal taste is so subjective. Not trying to be vague, just sorting my own thoughts about them still. 👍👍🤔🤔🤔😵😵😲😱😱👊👊

I ordered one too. The rear bumper has given me some trouble but it's the only thing. The rest of the truck is cut from a single block of antimantium. I'm impressed. Other than having to get a new body every 20 packs its perfect. lol. My body is just getting jacked and its fully reinforced. The wheelie bar replaces only the large actual rear bumper. The other two smaller pieces remain and are used to secure the new wheelie bar.
Keifer P. yes Sir, meant to mention they're taped with 2" Gorilla tape so no ballooning on 6s power. The traction and offset worked great as did steering/handling, but I really favor a bigger wheel closer to the Backflips for more wheel mass and cushion for really big jumps and faster mid-air corrections.👍👍😵😵😵😱😲💪👊👊

In stock form for mild to moderate bashing, the Tekno is arguably stronger 🤔. Upgraded Tekno vs upgraded ARRMA, I'd go with an ARRMA for hardcore bashing personally. The Tekno has weak driveshafts that bend easily, narrow chassis with too many inlays, and inferior diff cases. It's overpriced for what you get in the kit and replacement parts are the same. 😎💪👊👊
_kekz_13 _ I stopped running it awhile back after a disasterous rear tower hit. It was probably a fluke cuz my body was fairly trashed and cavitated into the tower on the ground. My tower to tower brace acted as a battering ram and blew out my front bulkhead with the rear impact. Lots of repair work no doubt 😱. I had been using a piece of aluminum channel trim from Home Depot. It's designed to trim edges of 1/4" plywood. It worked in protecting the center driveline and supporting the stock plastic chassis supports. I've since gone to using M2C Racing upgrades. Great stuff that definitely works as it should. Rear chassis and lower tower support has been flawless. About to order their center to front support right now. My Tekno is down for a full rebuild at the moment. Rich Duperbash more wheel mass will help with grip but at the same time ur not gonna be able to keep that nose down.. Like yourself and our boy Gary i too run the Badlands 40 series and for me they're the best for that rig bro.. i had a set of Rock rages' and tried the tires off my old Rival and both had too much weight-mass and just didn't work for me and the terrain I bash on.. too wild in the air and keeping the nose down was a chore! and i run 4s bro (20tooth pinion, mamba monster X esc w/ 2200kv Castle motor).. the badlands don't look the best but in my opinion they're the best for that rig that I've found so far.. whatever u decide i will be watching bro

Went there today with my Truggified Typhon and gave her an equal beating...Lol.. testing Mamba X ESC with 2200 motor. Yeah Matt from Tekno told me to be a little rough with the MT, that was my plan anyway. She's an awesome basher no doubt!!!! Definitely opened my eyes to Tekno quality and design. How do your M2C braces hold up? Mine is all M2Cd but I find myself frequently snapping the 6971 tower braces and ripping the screws out of the rear bulkheads. I'm considering making a custom brace to run between the tops of the towers.
Overall my braces hold up well. I have bent or snapped the original 6971 part before, but not the V3 version combined with the latest version rear chassis brace and 7075 tower. Think I went with the longest screws possible to tie the rear brace into the bulkhead. I use to run a custom tower to tower brace, but ended up destroying both bulkheads in a single bad wreck 😱. It acted like a battering ram.

Once again killer bash, I'm thinking about picking up mt410 but I think it should have come with aluminum caps and some kind of grab bar like the Kraton or savage to protect the body from roof landings but never the less looks like a solid truck!

I've been RCing for 20+ years and it's the best kit-rig I've ever owned.. so durable it's weird lol! the kraton is a good truck and i still own one but they don't even compare dude, mt410 is so much better at everything.. might be alittle more $ at the register but the kraton will cost u far more in the long run

Nice 6s bashing! I'm not sure if it's just the big Trenchers I'm using, but I overheat the motor and ESC on 4s and I'm using a 1700KV motor/15 tooth pinion. I put some fans on and that helped, but I think I'll try some smaller tires even though I like the characteristics of the bigger tires more. Do you check temps at the end of the bash too?
Are you using a square piece of aluminum stock for the tower to tower brace? I bent one like that and then went to a square piece of steel stock. I have no plans on that bending.:)
Stewdogg Stew thanks Stew, what an AWESOME basher this rig is!!! Yeah if your ESC is rated high amps and no rolling or drivetrain resistance, my guess would be the Trenchers making it toasty perhaps. I'm also wondering if that high torque motor is actually undergeared with 15 tooth, may carefully sample a bigger pinion just to see. My tower brace is actually C- channel aluminum that's intended to fit 1/4" plywood edges from Home Depot. Been running the same material on the Kraton and it's taken a serious beating...Lol. Going back to bigger wheels next bash, probably Backflips again on 6s with a 16 tooth pinion. Checked my temps three times without issue. Hottest motor temp was my goal of 150, ESC maybe 128 max. LOVE this MT man, excited to really get the shocks tuned to my liking. Plan on running 800/55 weight up front and sticking with 700 rear for now.👍👍🙋🙋😵😵😵😲😱👊👊

I had a C-channel on my MT410 first and bent it on both sides, that's why I went to square stock instead.

same issue here stew i am running therx8 gen 3 with the 1900 kv on 4s 16 tooth with the 3.8 badlands mx38 after 8minutes on a rc track it stopped motor wires came off motor was at 280 degrees going to get the tekin truggy motor

Yeah this rig is so light and agile in comparison to the Outcast, really demands different inputs on throttle and steering for sure. 6s was a bit challenging, but the smaller wheel mass this bash was the trickier part in getting the wheel spin and rotational timing down. The smaller Badlands are much less forgiving with hard landings and way slower to rotate and correct the rig midair...Lol. LOVE this MT so far, handles SICK like a race basher!!! Think once she's fully dialed in she'll be an another level no doubt. She speeds and flies much like my Truggified Typhon but with a higher CG and WIDE stance, unlike any rig I've bashed before. I'm impressed to say the least.👍👍💪😵😵😵😱😲👊👊

what are your thoughts on this in comparison to the Kraton EXB? I want to build a truck with my son, EXB was my first though, but the more I learn about the MT410 the more I like it. You've used both, in your opinion how do they compare? He's 11 btw, probably too much truck but YOLO. 🤣. He would love the MT body over the truggy, but I want to go with what handles the best and is most fun and usable.
Both are good options 👍. Just realize Tekno hasn't revised this platform in almost 4 years. The MT41O is light and nimble with it's race borrowed parts. It's durable to a point, but has plastic braces and very thin driveshafts. The diff housings don't lock the input bearings in as well as ARRMA's metal shielded cases. I would opt for the EXB no question. 🍻😎💪👊👊
What power system would you recommend for the MT410, for running 4S only? I see you've ran the 2050kv Arrma motor and 2200kv Hobbywing.
Both power systems haul ass with the right gearing. Tough question to answer 🤔. If you keep the truck light, the 2200 has awesome top end and rips on 4s. It gets hot on 6s in warmer weather no question. If you think you'll eventually go 6s, the BLX would be my choice. Otherwise either motor can be geared to rip on 4s.

RCbashing the KRATON thanks brother, she's wicked FUN and tough no doubt. Glad the rock ledge on that jump face I found didn't rip the front end off...Lol. Tried running her yesterday with heavier Big Rock wheels and ESC crapped out, wasn't even warmed up yet, then Outcast ESC crapped. Set button isn't working on either of them and no throttle. May try Hobbywing max 8 combo. Just borrowed Andrew's Outcast ESC to get her up again. Do you happen to know if Hobbywing program card works on Arrma BLX ESCs???👍👍😵😵😲😱😱😎👊
do you think having punch up to ten has anything to do with it.. might be straining esc ... i only had issues with the one that caught fire.. that was because that jumper plug came loose on bash pryer and probably had voltage surge... them jumpers are nothing but trouble.. i would think the card would works on esc but never tried it... i keep my punch at 8
RCbashing the KRATON not sure bro, I backed my punch down to 7 like 2 months ago on my Outcast with Nero motor, and had this one at 7 too. I'd think quick throttle bursts would spike voltage surge, but both ESCs stopped working after landing fairly average jumps. Wondering if the circuit boards got damaged??? Just Crazy that it happened back to back within minutes of one another. Left me pissed and shaking my head...Lol. May just ship them to Arrma for warranty.👍👍🤔🤔👊

Norcopunk yeah that jump was a mystery until about 3 hours ago...Lol. Went there a bit ago to do a MT vs Outcast vid with my buddy Tdogg, but had electrical issues with both rigs!!! WTF!!! In any case, appears someone had shoveled out the corner of that jump I hit to gap onto the 2nd mound, but left a HUGE outcropped rock ledge on the lip. Must have snagged the front of the MT and sent her ass over tea kettle...Lol!!! I kept wondering how she flipped so crazily off that jump face, but never looked at it. In any case, need to get electronics sorted and will do a shoot out vid. Tonight was a HUGE bummer, was testing Big Rock wheels on the MT on 6s and one starting coming unglued before the motor stopped running. Thing BLX 185 ESC is crapping out, set button no longer working....????? MT410 is BADASS fun no doubt, but Outcast is no slouch either, just a bit "chunkier". More to follow soon bro.👍👍😵😵😵😲😱🙋🙋👊

72nivo it would fit, but it's a bit wider than the C-10 body and with the narrow Tekno chassis would likely have much greater wind drag and parachute effect with really big or high speed jumps. Aside from that, ARRMA charges too much for the Outcast body. I refuse to pay for a replacement unless I could score a screaming deal somewhere...Lol. Ohhh and this jump park is actually pretty addicting. I try not to go too often cuz she's a parts breaker that spot. 👍👍😲😲😵😵😱👊

Daniel Navarro that crossed my mind prior to ever getting the MT, but the stock ARRMA BLX185 ESC doesn't recognize 5s properly and causes premature shutdown or voltage cut-off. You can switch ESC to NiMH mode and run an external cut-off alarm, but I don't own any 5s packs to try it. 6s on the MT is really overpowered, but I'm fine with it, just need to adapt and overcome and let the tires get some grab. I really enjoy driving my completely overpowered Backslash. Makes it more challenging and has crazy Boost you can use in careful doses when the stars(wheels) align just right...Lol. 🙋🙋👍😵😵😵😲😱👊👊
When you say "wheel mass" does that affect you being able to do backflips? The reason I ask is I put my smaller badlands on my Hobao hyper MT and it is harder to backflip with them.
Adam Baker exactly. The smaller and lighter the wheels, the harder it is to correct in mid-air and do flips with. The taller wheels mean more top speed as well, but you have to watch temps cuz it's basically like gearing up. The heavier the wheel mass, the more potential strain on your electronics. I like the offset of the smaller Badlands 3.8 and for 6s ripping, but they definitely don't flip as easy as the bigger Backflips.👍👍😵😵😵😲😱😎👊👊
Rich Duperbash awesome thanks.i have a set of rc4wd 40 series mudslingers. I tried them on an EMaxx and they tore the diffs up. Learned my lesson. They are more for a summit or a big crawler.
Adam Baker no problem bro. Glad you mentioned the diffs. Bigger wheels definitely put more strain on them and the servo. Still can't say enough good things about the Backflip tires though. The rubber compound has perfect grip and slip, much longer lasting and less ballooning than Proline IMHO.👍👍👊

twrecks116 It is sorta nuts how high and far these rigs can handle being launched so long as the landing goes OK...Lol. Your final pinion choice really depends on 4s vs 6s voltage, motor size/kv, and wheel choice. 2000kv is really about perfect IMHO. 16-18 tooth is generally OK, but I check my temps and gear up to about 150F motor. The BLX185 motor did great. Now running the Max 8 2200kv combo and it's a bit tall for anything beyond 16-17 tooth even with hard 4s running and bigger MT wheels. 🙋🙋😵😵😵😲😲💪👊👊

The Kraton is more stable all around and the ultimate HUGE air Beast. The Outcast is MAD fun and more challenging to control. Flips and wheelies very easily. Both are highly capable no doubt. The Kraton is better for really high speed bashing though. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

Pain in the RC thanks so much brother, still need to adjust a bit to her lighter weight and nuances a bit, but the truck is a RIPPER no doubt!!! Will play around with the tuning a bit and get some heavier tires back on next go. Couldn't rotate/flip and make corrections fast enough mid-air for my driving style and missed having the extra tire cushion on the bigger jumps. VERY fast/capable rig indeed!!! 👍👍😵😵😵😱😱😲👊

Great bash bro. The truck took a ton of hard shots and kept going. That last hard shot was brutal. I'm surprised the whole front end did not get grenaded. I think Tekno has built a truck that is near the limit of durability with current technology and materials. It's quite a feat. The guys at Tekno said the tires they most often recommend are the ones you were running. I think tire choice is a lot like shock tuning. It's always a compromise.
bierstadt77 yeah I edited out some regular jumps to show some bad ones and illustrate it's durability. Vid was just too long otherwise...Lol. Yeah it's definitely a BEAST. Did realize that really bad landing actually tweaked the A arm plastic a bit, just noticed last night, sort of twisted and buckled it, but no cracks!!! Don't plan on flailing like that again, but crap happens. Any other RC would likely have taken that hit MUCH worse. The Badlands 3.8 are nice cuz they also allow good chassis slap, but I really need more tire cushion and wheel mass for my style of bashing. Hoping to find a perfect size soon. Backflip tires definitely do not allow easy chassis slap, I've noticed. Probably putting excessive strain on the arms, towers, and shocks. Still getting this rig dialed in no doubt.👍👍😵😵😵😲🙋👊👊
Rich Duperbash Here is my 15 pack report on my MT410. I love it. It's super fun and overall very durable. I've have had some problems which I'll list. 1. Bent two sets of long screws that hold rear bumper on. 2. Broke 2 body posts. 3. Badly damaged the plastic piece that holds the rear body posts on. 4. Completely destroyed a heavily reinforced body. 5. Replaced rear diff case because of bent screws (May not have been necessary). I've reordered a new and different body. The proline raptor body is no good. I would avoid it. I also think the rear bumper design needs some improvement. It basically was damaged after 3 packs. It collapses on itself and becomes distorted very quickly. I have installed the T Bone rear wheelie bar and it seems to be solid and is doing its job well. I recommend it. The truck is still drivable with the damaged stock bumper but it provides little protection once damaged. In addition, the body mounting system is kinda weak imo. It may be the raptor body though. It is ill suited to this truck. I have had to spend some money to keep the Mt410 up and running but I've also driven it pretty hard too. I still think it's the highest quality, toughest truck available. It's super smooth and fast and handles really well considering its short wheelbase. I've had some heat issues as well but that is not really the trucks fault. I'm still working out the temp issues and have ordered a lower kv motor to run with the big trenchers.
bierstadt77 thanks much for the feedback. I also believe it's a wonderful truck with awesome handling, blazing speed, and very impressive durability. I have way less packs in her, but have found some vulnerabilities too. That brutal take off and landing (actually hit a rock outcropping off that jump face) twisted/buckled the same side A-arm pretty badly, enough to bend the sway bar and slightly alter the final wheel position. Really wouldn't expect any RC to withstand that honestly, surprised it didn't snap...Lol!!! Rear bumper fairly tweaked after first bash but still functional. Bent right rear driveshaft enough to have to straighten. Small both sides crack to rear diff case at upper attachment to tower, just next to rear plastic chassis support. I never noticed it until after the 2nd bash, but recall not having a tower to tower brace on the first bash to better support this. Like I mentioned prior, no RC in unbreakable, but this Tekno is VERY durable. The body posts don't fit very snuggly and could be impoved no doubt. All in all, love the design and performance of this rig, but she does have pretty thin driveshafts and atleast some potential weak spots with really big air/harder bashing. 👍👍😵😵😲👊👊

Anthony Arnold thanks bro. I wouldn't compare it to the Kraton only because of the difference in wheel base with the Kraton BEAST. The 2 rigs handle completely different by their very design and stance. I'd venture to say lots of people may not truly enjoy the SWB platform as a "better" pick then the Kraton platform for their specific tastes. I LOVE bashing both platforms and switching off even mid bash between rigs. In comparing the Tekno and Outcast of similar stance and dimensions, I'd say "better" depends on interpretation and taste as well as overall value. The MT is so much lighter that it may be harder to control for some, despite its butter smooth driveline and handling. I really love ALL my ARRMAS and have very quickly fallen in love with the MT. There's no question that Tekno put serious thought into this awesome kit with design and higher end parts, but it's too early for me to make a more global assessment. The Tekno definitely gets the nod for 4s speed and plush suspension/crisp handling. The diffs, chassis, towers, and arms all seem superior in strength also, but more field "testing" again needed. I plan to touch on this much more with detailed comparisons between the two, but need to learn this Tekno ANIMAL a bit more first. Thrilled with it after 2 bashes, but like the wife, wasn't ready to marry her after the second date...Lol. That said, does look like you get the quality and performance you're paying for with this BADASS MT410. I'm EXTREMELY impressed thus far. Just wondering if the MT is currently in a class of it's own. Will say flat out, it's definitely a quicker basher. But thrills come in different forms for everyone and FUN and personal taste is so subjective. Not trying to be vague, just sorting my own thoughts about them still. 👍👍🤔🤔🤔😵😵😲😱😱👊👊

Think with a bit more seat time this rig will allow for insane air maneuvering, just so dang light!!! Definitely LOVING IT, so far. Hope you enjoy it like I am when she's done. I ordered one too. The rear bumper has given me some trouble but it's the only thing. The rest of the truck is cut from a single block of antimantium. I'm impressed. Other than having to get a new body every 20 packs its perfect. lol. My body is just getting jacked and its fully reinforced. The wheelie bar replaces only the large actual rear bumper. The other two smaller pieces remain and are used to secure the new wheelie bar.

The traction and offset worked great as did steering/handling, but I really favor a bigger wheel closer to the Backflips for more wheel mass and cushion for really big jumps and faster mid-air corrections.👍👍😵😵😵😱😲💪👊👊

Guy Rose I'm using my basic Tactic ttx300 that comes with the Arrma 6s rigs. It's simple, light, comfortable in the hand, and has great range. Best part, they're only like 30$ off eBay. I've yet to be enticed by more sophisticated offerings. 😎💪👊👊

In stock form for mild to moderate bashing, the Tekno is arguably stronger 🤔. Upgraded Tekno vs upgraded ARRMA, I'd go with an ARRMA for hardcore bashing personally. The Tekno has weak driveshafts that bend easily, narrow chassis with too many inlays, and inferior diff cases. It's overpriced for what you get in the kit and replacement parts are the same. 😎💪👊👊

_kekz_13 _ I stopped running it awhile back after a disasterous rear tower hit. It was probably a fluke cuz my body was fairly trashed and cavitated into the tower on the ground. My tower to tower brace acted as a battering ram and blew out my front bulkhead with the rear impact. Lots of repair work no doubt 😱. I had been using a piece of aluminum channel trim from Home Depot. It's designed to trim edges of 1/4" plywood. It worked in protecting the center driveline and supporting the stock plastic chassis supports. I've since gone to using M2C Racing upgrades. Great stuff that definitely works as it should. Rear chassis and lower tower support has been flawless. About to order their center to front support right now. My Tekno is down for a full rebuild at the moment. PS, if you want to see the carnage, watch the "Shockwaves 3.8" Tekno vid from months ago.😨😨😨😎💪👊👊

tommyd3jr yeah she's Crazy light for her stance...Lol. 6s definitely takes a steady trigger finger with light throttle inputs. With those smaller Badlands and a light 6s brick, definitely was very easy to over throttle and spin out. Think she needs more tire/wheel mass next outing and maybe a heavier pack. Still getting her tuned/dialed, but the FUN FACTOR is really starting to shine.👍👍😀😀😵😵😵😲🙋🙋👊👊

Like yourself and our boy Gary i too run the Badlands 40 series and for me they're the best for that rig bro.. i had a set of Rock rages' and tried the tires off my old Rival and both had too much weight-mass and just didn't work for me and the terrain I bash on.. too wild in the air and keeping the nose down was a chore! and i run 4s bro (20tooth pinion, mamba monster X esc w/ 2200kv Castle motor).. the badlands don't look the best but in my opinion they're the best for that rig that I've found so far.. whatever u decide i will be watching bro
