Maybe Tomlin is not a bad coach but because he gives no control to his coordinators; it is almost impossible for them to make needed adjustments in game… until he actually hires real coordinators and gives them control; nothing will change…
Tomlin does nothing well that I can tell. He cant draft, he cant develop the few good players he does draft, he doesnt hold his players accountable, he doesnt take advice from any other coaches, he cant control his team, he cant prepare his team. How he continues to make the playoffs every couple of years and hasnt had a 4-5 win team ever is pure luck.
Everything your saying is hes a bad coach who wouldnt like to go play make a bunch of money and not be held responsible for there screw up to be coddled when they are having a bad day. He need to stop this mother hen bullshit and let the coaches coach and be hard ass and if they wanna be a pre Madonna then there's the bench I do not care I would rather loose than give into none team oriented player muth is a saint and the best was to show thats what I want from. You if you can do that then I'm trading your ass doesn't matter the talent you have.
Let's roll with fields, I don't see a better option, certainly not Darnold or alike. He'll need receivers that actually get open, and oline that can protect. Defense needs some young blood on the line, and another corner that can cover. Tall asks, let's hope Tomlin gets it right.
At least we could draft a descent QB if we sucked bad for a year….although this years draft doesn’t have any elite QB’s in it. With MT as HC, we’re eternally stuck in mediocre purgatory without any hope for drafting a descent QB…unless we traded up…. That’s very hard to do, as well as expensive. Thanks
No, it’s an awful year for QBs, fix the o line, fix the WR room, fix the defense. Then we can worry about QB. Have fields be the guy in the mean time and if it works out it works out. If not, re asses next year when there’s more options
@@ChacheeMalone69what you said is exactly what I would do. I'm not making any judgements about QBs outside I think Fields ($9.2 mil/year Sportrac Market Value) is a slightly better system fit than Russ ($40.2 mil/year Sportrac market value). I'd rather see that $20-30 mil go into the offense than spending the same amount to run it back with a QB who's a decade older, & isn't able to do some of the stuff the Ravens killed our defense with. The read option stuff gives you numbers in the run game even when there's no option tag bc teams always have to account for the QB. Non running QBs are going to become antiquated.
The Steelers have a young man on the bench that is an elite franchise quarterback but no one on this coaching staff can coach the young man. And that’s disgraceful to say the least.
Since Mike his still with Steelers. Rooney must have talk to get a new coach staff & let the offense and defense coordinators control the schemes, and Mike must stay out of of schemes.
Sounds like Tomlin, Art and the whole organization are one big echo chamber. Arthur Moats said the same thing "Hey, at least we're not a bottom feeder. You really want to blow it up for a 10-win team?" and "things could be worse" Seems like mediocrity has entrenched itself for good. Sorry this behind the curtain about what Tomlin like just convinces me he is incapable of real change to get with the times. Fine. Be good enough to beat the lowly teams and slightly above average. Sounds like everyone has settled for that.
Even though I completely disagree with guys like 'Mon & Arthur Moats on retaining Coach Tomlin -I understand why they defend him year after year. I never reached the success either or them did, even relatively at the college level, but I still vehemently defended my college HC & my OC until they both decided to move on from my alma mater. It's a natural human response to defend people who believed in you, gave you an opportunity, & helped you become a successful pro, student/athlete, employee, etc. Just food for thought.
Now that the NFL has gone to a 17 game schedule and are eying an 18 game schedule in the next CBA maybe team rosters should be expanded to 55 to 60 players. The long season combined attrition and injury risk is hurting teams down the stretch. Also these shortened turnaround weeks are not conducive to player safety.
Claiming you need a quarterback is a very lazy analysis of what's been going on period. They don't have a scheme. That is conducive to good quarterback play. And when they finally got good quarterback play last year they couldn't wait to ship the guy out and bring in washed up Russ
I mean, he has the final say over the roster, including QBs. Coach T met with Lamar Jackson at the combine, went to his pro day, & had him in for a top 30 visit. When the Steelers were on the board in 2018 at pick #28, he insisted on taking Terrell Edmunds with a 36 year old Ben coming off a 13-3 season but 1 & done in the playoffs. It would have been a bold move for sure, but the Ravens picked Lamar 4 picks later with a 33 year old Joe Flacco. His "guys" at QB have included Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, & a 36 year old Russell Wilson who he personally inserted into the lineup with a young/injured OL & a WR core he insisted he was fully confident in but was the lowest paid WR room in the NFL by a factor of 2 When Russ floundered down the stretch, MT stuck to his guns. So maybe, just maybe, he's the biggest reason he doesn't have a QB?
There many players in the league that want to really play for him. Your right BARBER...but we Rarely ever PAY. Even Queen to less money to be here...BUT almost No Free Agents are like that
Appreciate you guys and your insight.
Showing you can learn and grow and are willing to make moves isnt a weakness
Believe what they do, not what they say
Barber Came In Again!!! An I Missed The Live...Yet Again!!!😅😅
🗣@Mike Jones !!!!!!!
Man. I thought the 8-8 seasons were rough. That was nothing!!!
This year was double rough. 😢
Maybe Tomlin is not a bad coach but because he gives no control to his coordinators; it is almost impossible for them to make needed adjustments in game… until he actually hires real coordinators and gives them control; nothing will change…
Uhh he’s a bad coach
Thats absolutely what makes him a bad coach.

Missed you live! 😔
I missed the LIVE also. It's good to watch the posted EP, but LIVE has a different emotional effect 😊
Mon you are too kind to Tomlin
KC was not bad before they drafted Pat they made the playoffs the year before and traded up from #27 to 10

Its all about how he loses in the playoffs and his teams never look prepared
Because the team isn’t prepared.
And they lose to bottom of the barrel teams too. Every year it happens.
The absent of this show is the cause we lost

It's the QB situation first and foremost

Exactly. Tomlin hires and his own coaching can't figure it out let alone develop
They ruin players .But Matt Canada really ruined everyone
Foster just can't comprehend. I do not fault him. He is just blinded
Will Harris end up being a broken Steeler
Us loyal fans are sick of the coaching staff
When y'all realize that he overachieaves with mid QB play

The Steelers will never win a Superbowl with Mike Tomlin as head coach.
He owns it for a day but he hasnt really changed his coaching staff ,he hasnt learned anything new for himself
They wanna play for mike tomlin because mike tomlin offers no accountability😂😂😂😂
