Kootu Puzhukkal is a 1987 Tamil feature film directed by R C Sakthi and produced by M.Sundar Rajan and G M Ranga Raj, starring Raghuvaran and Amala in lead role, supported by Chandrasekhar and Y Vijaya.
Kootu Puzhukkal is the one side love story of an honest man, Raghuvaran and his love Amala. The climax reveals whether Raghuvaran succeeds in his love.

One can visualize the character Manga is none other than the author, because the soul palpitate in it. And the most fortunate person in the world is Surya having found a place in her tender and endearing heart. Long live the writer's name and fame.
Destiny is not always adverse to the human beings ; sometimes it sympathise with the sufferers and pave the right way but fail to tread the path is the individual's folly. Both MANGA and SURYA had suffered in the PAST but NOW, they are free from those circumstances, and should grab the good opportunity and live a life which they richly deserve. If they did so, their life would be a long sweet night.

Next week, 16th May is the death anniversary of this film's story writer Ms ANURADHA RAMANAN. She died in the year 2010 and hardly lived for 62 years but her name will live longer in the hearts of the audience not only for her several novels and short stories but also for creating a character like MANGA which she immortalized in KOOTU PUZHUKKAL. As a matter of fact , she honestly lived in the heart and soul of the character Manga which made the young men like SURYA to dream of such a lady to take as their life long partner.

Among the innumerable immortal characters she created, MANGA(MMA) and SURYA are still living in the memory of several million admirers. The prolific writer would have lived a hundred years peacefully and happily but not died at the age of 62 in the year 2010. As a fair and finest human being , she could have forgiven and forgotten the unsavory incident involving a prominent and powerful personality Does it leave a lesson to other ladies in their life of fame please.
