- The time has come to harvest the eggplants. I went to the eggplant garden to pick a lot of eggplants. This variety of eggplants is the best for me. I cooked poqui poqui, pinakbet and tortang talong with a twist. I hope you enjoy the video. Enjoy the countryside life!

Yung lagaslas ng hangin sabayan ng ulam na pinakbet at tortang talong na bagong pitas tas kasama ang buong pamilya sa hapag kainan wow..ilan lang ito sa mga precious moment na isinasakripisyo naming mga ofw..nakakainggit ang ganitong napapanuod,,felling happy and sad at the same time naiisip ko lang lumilipas nalang ang mga taon na hindi namin nagagawa ito kasama ng mga pamilya..minsan sa paghahangad na guminhawa ang buhay nalilimutan na na mas masaya ang simpleng buhay dahil walang stress

I love ginisang talong with dahon ng sibuyas or coriander ...but i really miss eating diningding especially when visiting my friends in nueva ecija or appari or tuguegarao cos i ate a lot .you can taste the freshness of these vegetables newly harvest.awesome experience

Gayem Ben thank you so much for your sharing of a simpler life yet happy and content that still exist and enjoyed. Nothing better and healthier than fresh Food from the land harvested and cooked right away. Your cooking always remind me of my greatgrandma and grandma who hailed from Vintar, moved to La Union, then Grandma graduated from the then Philippine Normal School as teacher. She was then assigned to far away Visayas in Bohol as Principal of a big Elementary School in Loon. She got married there, had 7 children and here I am decades later the first granddaughter!
I learned and ate a lot of her Ilocano recipes of talong. The way you cooked pakbet from using the clay pot to how you mixed it was exactly how Lola did it! I miss her everytime I watch your videos.
