Great video but I’m kinda sad you guys left out Uncharted 1 which came out in 2007 and was such an amazing game which has some amazing sequels. But man 2007 having Halo 3, COD 4, mario galaxy, assassins creed and uncharted makes me really miss the good old days of gaming when online was really getting good and competitive and when story games like mass effect and uncharted started to come out strong.

When Oversaturation did not exist and the Saturation was only for the most elite of games. Every bad game that was almost nonexistent because early access did not exist and indie games where not much of a thing so AAA developers where encouraged in this age to make a Great Game and the marketing must be perfect and it was. No excuses with the competition of this era. You have to make the best game your company can put out or else you go bankrupt. No overconfident game companies that shipped out shit games with micro-transactions because THE QUALITY of a GAME is THE ONLY thing that can sell. This was the era where good marketing for a game that's trash was just a laughing stock."Make a excellent game or be forgotten" that was the pressure to live up to and it was the attitude of both gamers and developers. Gaming was a respected medium in this very year alone everything else just tumbles down. Both the seller and customer where satisfied in 2007.
Interesting to see how everyone has a different year/era they consider to be the "golden age" for gaming. I remember 2007 not really being anything special, in fact if anything, I was rather bored with the more "mature-feel" gaming was heading into at this point in time (or maybe the more "Hollywood-ification" of the industry), with really the only exception being from Nintendo for AAA titles. I was completely indifferent to online gaming outside of MMOs, so the whole online features aspects of new titles was something I considered a waste when compared to just making a good game in its own right. Was also around this time I started noticing a push for DLC, which I hated since day 1. Was also the beginning of the end years for me for gaming on the PC, with the influx of DRM and digital only releases, I jumped ship on the platform completely. Had pretty much sworn off of Valve's titles before this point as well when they first pushed their DRM with Half-Life 2's original PC release. I really only recall SSB Brawl being the only big title on the horizon to be excited for, outside of much less-hyped releases here and there. Was more interested in retro platforms anyway at the time and the current state of modern releases only enhanced that interest.

2004 - 2011 were the best years for gaming.
My favourite years are 2006 and 2007
Yes I love 2006
It really was. And all of my chaos theory says
Truly the best gaming experience I have ever had
trash year.

I PLAY A LOT OF PORTAL
Okay, everyone who remembers Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal and of course Spider-Man 3: The Game, Anybody?
I still play Halo 3!
You forgot God of War II and Uncharted.
how can you forget the most played online computer game in 2007, runescape
