I fish mainly the Tsala Apopka Chain. I haven’t witnessed a fish kill but they are out here spraying 5 days a week along with harvesters chomping up the vegetation
I'll give up on Apopka now for sure. Very sad, it was really getting good. I was somewhat pro-spray after seeing what happened toho the past year. I never believed the spray itself killed fish (could be wrong, just haven't seen it) but I definitely believe that the excessive nutrients from decayed plant materials after spraying can cause algae blooms that in turn kill fish. We do need a sustainable solution that is not harmful to the wildlife. So sad....
I practiced two weeks ago for a tournament this past Saturday. I found a good spot and caught fish...first time on the lake. I was excited to fish...unfortunately, Saturday, when I got to my area, the fish were already coming up to the surface and dying...as soon as it started , I moved and it just got worse...then on Sunday, the pics from a lot of folks came in, and it got so much worse...I hope we can figure it out...sad to see all those dead fish

Spraying/killing aquatic plants is ruining the chain. Spawning areas in the canals are ruined. No plants - no fish.
