Today, I'm chatting with Ben, Senior VP of the Flying Blue program.
In this episode we discuss why you should be looking at Flying Blue for business class points flights, why La Premiere is really difficult to book on points and how to do it, what to expect of Air France and the airline loyalty industry, and so much more!
One card to consider for more Flying Blue points is the Capital One Venture X Card.

Great content, especially from an insider of the airline industry, so interesting to learn the business side of reward miles from the airline perspective of the award program! Hope you will have more similar content from the industry insiders in future. I just found and booked my first ever award space to a pair of Business class tickets flying from west coast to AMS using Flying Blue points and then book another leg of inter Europe countries flying KLM, so already loving Flying Blue.

What I like about first class is that it makes business class more accessible price wise

Question. I see a specific flight on United to Sydney, same date same flight for 100,000 on United but on Aeroplan it is 75,000.
Can I use my United points on Aeroplan to book a United flight.?

you cannot use United points to book a United flight on Aeroplan.
However, you can use United points to book an Air Canada flight on United.com (though I wouldn't recommend doing so, since it's not usually the best pricing).

Thanks for bringing the insight of how they decide on different number points required for Air France flights. However, they really need to address their older business class on 777 planes. They are absolutely gross, worn out and have most people complaining about seats and cabin being filthy. Avoid US and European airlines and instead choose Asian and/or Middle eastern (Emirates, Qatar, Etihad) airlines for much better overall experiences.

Lots of different airlines are upgrading their hard product, hopefully we'll see the same with more of the European carriers too!

@@geobreezetravel Hope so as Lufthansa revealed Alergis and that's not really good. Check out Qatar new Qsuites Next Gen. Qatar is years ahead of competition and they took a giant leap with Next gen Qsuites. Turkish and other have revealed their new business class and looks really good.
