When Halo 3 came out, I pre-ordered 3 copies and took my two boys to the midnight release to pick them up. They brought their TVs to the living room and the 3 of us played all night in the same room. I let them skip school the next day much to their mother's dismay. They are in their mid-20's now and ironically, we were just talking about it the other day. They remembered that night with such fondness. I remember thinking at the time that they would never remember what they would have learned in school that day but they'd never forget that night playing Halo with Dad. I was right.

Halo 2 is a storytelling masterpiece. Yes there was some problems with the gameplay but as a whole, Halo 2 will always be legendary.
Game play was epic the glitches were awesome
Legendary difficulty was Nightmare fuel and felt like you were in hell for the majority of the levels especially…the jackal snipers which are the bane of any players playing on that difficulty. Also yes, Halo was legendary in itself

Master Chief, Cortana and Johnson …a trio for the ages. Not gonna lie, I miss the hell out of Cortana, one of the best video games A.I. in the history of gaming. I hope Halo Infinite is a big hit and that it does well, would definitely love to see the franchise prosper again.

The guys who remastered Halo 2 did a fucking awesome job. Those cutscenes are crisp and still true to the original.

I still remember as a kid I was standing outside gamestop at midnight along with 400 some odd fans, waiting for the doors to open and get my collectors edition of Halo 2 that I pre ordered. Bungie made 400 million dollars that opening night.

I can only imagine if Halo was made into a movie instead of a video game how awesome that would be. It has one of the best stories ever and would have been an instant hit. because it is a video game it is not nearly appreciated enough and does not get enough recognition despite being really fun to play as well.
Exactly Halo has a good story and so much lore. Hopefully the Halo TV show is good and does well viewer wise because if it does we may get a few Halo movies. I honestly think video games are next up after the success of super heroes/comic book movies. The last generations grew up on comic books and this generation has grown up playing video games so we will most likely see more video game movies in the coming years, and Halo is the perfect candidate to start the trend.

nah, as much as i appreciate the idea, there are no movie makers out there that can do this (or any other video game) justice. we always get excited when we hear of games being made into movies, and yet when those movies come out, we have been without fail, sorely disappointed

Ah Halo is so Fantastic, It has a Very Very Special place in my heart. Never was a gamer really as a kid before 8, when i was 8 my Dad surprised me With an Xbox and Halo:Combat evolved, Before this ive only played Stuff like Mario and Zelda and It never really Grasped me more then a 30 min time killer or w.e...
So my Dad booted the Xbox up and I played Not only my first M Rated game but also The First Video game with my Father, Man we Played through the entire Game With No Stopping aside from Drinks/Food and he even let me skip school. After that Halo 1 Binge.. I was Officially a Gamed and Started to Delve into Other games. Halo 2 Came out and I remember being SO excited to play again with my father, We Ended up Beating that game down and I was Stoked for Halo 3 To play with him.
Unfortunately My Father died When I was Very young shortly After Halo 2s Launch and I've Ensured to Play and Beat The Halo games all of them In his memory even the ones im not a big fan of (4&5) hope Infinite will be As good as the Bungie ones, Im so Thankful That My Dad Got me into Gaming and for It to be halo of all things to do so.

Reading the books and watching all the movies and mini series revolving around Chief and the spartans makes him a lot more human and understandable when going back through the games.
Like before dropping with the ODSTs on Delta Halo, Johnson taps his Pod and Chief taps back. Displaying that they have an actual bond/connection.
If you want to see more of Johnson and MCs relationship read the halo novel silent storm. It takes place when john was 14 leading 16 other Spartans and some crazy missions. This is the first time he meets Johnson and both play a big role in the story.

Reminds me a lot of Eugene Stoner and Mikhail Kalashnikov. Despite being from enemy countries they had a lot of parallels. Both served their country, both created legendary weapons, (both divorced, lol) but although Stoner was very wealthy from his designs, Kalashnikov basically did not get any profit until the Cold War ended and he was allowed to do business with western countries.

The Gravemind scene is still one of the most chilling scenes of all time. It has stuck with me to this day. Seeing it remastered brings chills. Looking back that was such a polarizing moment in Halo.

Buckets of beige colored "camo paints" drop from the ceiling and splatter the team.
The potential the halo lore has is incredible and I truly believe you can make an absolutely insane movie series like Star Wars out of this

Idk about that, halo doesn’t have much aliens compared to other franchises and seems to be very military focused while the others showed other stuff besides just the militaries. I’m sure it has potential but I’ve never seen it yet in the games.
They really need to make a movie or series of movies with the whole damn story line from every perspective. From beginning to end. True, we can play the games, but there really should be a series of movies. I bet they would make so much money. Wouldn’t even have to sell them in disc, just on TH-cam or something. These guys have cgi that blows most major companies out of the water, even for the early halo game cutscenes. They could make a killing from this and halo fans would love this and they would probably expand their fan base by over half
But please not with real actors. they need to give us animated movies like this. this is what we know, and what we love. and they already have all the assets and some animations.

I wouldn't mind either to be honest, but I dont think its gonna happen. They were suppose to make a TV show, but I havent heard anything recently ap I'm assuming it got canceled.
@@calebseeley6259 I think with the CGI versions they'd be more on the safer side than with the live action. with those you always have to make sure that the actors are good enough, that they have enough pull (for the non game fans) and aren't too expensive and eat up the budget.
also the game to tv/movie adaptions have so far usually been sub par or had a mediocre box office result.
With animations all they need to worry about is that their render farms don't burn down.

Especially if you take into account the fact that Bungie went into E3 2003 with nothing more than a demo for Halo 2 -- no finalized single player levels, no multiplayer, and a little more than a year later they produced Halo 2. That sort of devotion to your craft simply doesn't exist anymore.
Titan fall or horizon:zero dawn by far. Halo story lines were pretty good but mainly the gameplay was what made it stand out at the time, esp. the multiplayer and story mode gameplay

I love the juxtaposition between Blue team and Osiris. Osiris's drop and charge down the snow capped mountains started with banter and the fight down the mountain was filled with fancy gunslinging and armor abilitites. Blue team starts their infiltration with little chatter and could have neutralized the Elites in Argent Moon in a similar fancy fashion but choses rather do do so in a very efficient manner with minimal actions.
When I was smaller I thought Cortana was a voice inside John's head that no one knew about, so when I heard Srgt Johnson say, "oh I know what the ladies like", I thought he discovered John's secret lol

I can't find many examples of CG humans being animated like humans instead of mascot suits. The Halo 2 portion cutscenes should be standard study material in animation classes.

I was only a child when I was introduced, my dad let us stay home and play. He even went at midnight himself to pick the games up.. it truly was beautiful. I live alone now, my dad is no longer in my life by choice and infinite is upon us so im mentally reliving a lot. I’m here to understand the story line some more, so many things I never understood, so many things make more sense. I have a sense of perspective! I was so mad at Cortana for being a plug in Chiefs senses but here I am now, fully understanding his emotional attachments. Anyways this will probably get lost, have a good night guys.

It seems as thought the size of the Spartans varies quite a bit. Sometimes they look really big, and sometimes they look absolutely gigantic.
difference between the generations, Johns class of spartans were known as the largest and tankiest of the spartan versions. Their serum and training was much more rigorous and deadly than newer generations. Difference being primarily that Johns class was all kidnapped and operated under secrecy for years. New spartans are not so secret and I believe it's open recruitment from the military enlisted pool. Big differences between how Catherine created her batches and how the UNSC does so now.

I’ve just watched all of this film and I have to say I’m not disappointed, This was one of my favourite childhood games to play, And to come back to it and watch it as a movie in HD is amazing! Thank you for this video experience and to be honest it’s a badass love story too

Problem; It starts with Halo 2 so you have absolutely no idea of the basic concepts of what a Halo ring is, what the Flood are, or who 343 Guilty Spark is. It also starts with an exclusive cutscene that was supposed to tie into Halo 5, then after Halo 2 skips to Halo 4 completely missing Halo 3, then goes into Halo 5. The problem with 5 is, remember that exclusive cutscene right at the start? Yeah, that doesn't actually tie into Halo 5 at all due to the fact that Halo 5 got rewritten into oblivion and was essentially 2 games barely built smashed into 1. The video concludes with all the Halo Infinite trailers released so far.
These are cutscenes. It’s not a movie. It doesn’t even show everything from the series, just starts it off with halo 2, skips 3 and goes to 4 and then 5.

I feel for all the gamers who never played Halo CE and Halo 2. Those are the best Halo games ever made, and if you start after that, you might as well be blindfolded because the story degrades heavily from 3 onward.
100% agreed, with three it just started getting more and more complicated.
Halo gave me so many great wonderful memories with my boys. Halo is one of those games that will be talked about for decades.

Halo 3 I could understand, but Reach is nothing with Master Chief and the truth is he is the center and the real interest of the Halo main storyline

@@Spillow-C I feel as if it has to do with the lack of graphic quality. Reach and 3 couldn’t make the cut because of their graphical drawbacks. Personally 3 is my favorite so it was kind of hard not to see it.
The entire halo story, way more than this , is just so crazy. All of it is a true master piece and I’m glad it was the first big game I played as a a child and still do todah

This statement isn't necessarily true.... infinite universe and quantum mechanics only would predict that anything possible that can happen will happen....there maybe plenty of things in Halo universe that just is not possible. But no doubt the "noble 6 survival story easily could happen

Am i the only one that hears the music ....see's the chief and gets that feeling of nostalgia , chills and fantastic memories of all night gaming, with friends. Brings a damn tear to my eyes.
Damn seeing this, and remembering the joy and connectivity among the community that played Halo when it came out is pretty breath-taking.
- A group of guys and I would bring our Xboxes to our local church, after hours, and we'd play using the projectors. We had so much fun... It was a staple of get togethers for a time.
- Crazy how a game made 20 years ago has more meaning and impact than 99% of the games made today.

The flood Gravemind NEEDS to return in infinite. It's the best potential villain for the game, and the flood is a great counter for Cortanas plans right now. It would make things so cool to see more cutscenes with the grave mind too
