      @@csm101000 Did you not see how bumpy his face was from the acne? You can't cover that with makeup. Stress is definately a cause of acne and it does go away when the stress is reduced.

    I THINK YOUR SON HAS INTERNAL CRPS. ITS MOST PAINFUL HUMAN CONDITION ON MCGILL PAIN INDEX AT A 45. I HAVE IT FULL BODY AND INTERNAL. NOTHING HELPS IT ORALLY OR EVEN PATCHES OR OTHER PROCEDURES EXCEPT WHAT I TELL YOU NEXT. I ALSO HAVE 40 OTHER DIAGNOSES INCLUDING 6 OTHER VERY RARE DIAGNOSES AND 4 OF THOSE IN MY BRAIN. IM BEDRIDDEN 4yrs. ONLY TREATMENT FOR CRPS IS KETAMINE INFUSSIONS. YOU GET 6-10 OF THEM. LASTING 4-24HRS EACH ONE. IT CAN HELP CRPS PAIN BY UP TO 90%. CRPS CAN BE CAUSED BY ANYTHING. IF HE WAS EVEN HIT BY BALL PLAYING BASEBALL OR IF HE EVEN HAD A STOMACH FLU, OR A PROCEDURE, OR A RASH THERE OR A BUG BITE ETC ETC ETC. I GUARANTEE THIS IS HIS ISSUE. I HOPE YOU SEE THIS.

    Many of you have missed the point. Stress and fear can cause ANYTHING! And certain types of chronic pain can still be present even AFTER the injury has healed. This is due to the “re-wiring” of the nerves that continue to send pain signals to the brain. We see this exact same thing occur in people who suffer from phantom limb pain. Alan Gordon’s approach is to re-wire the brain so the nerves sending those pain signals stop misfiring. This is neuroplasticity at its finest, and certain therapies like EMDR have been proven to cure these kinds of pains, especially phantom pain.

    How did thìs start for him? What makes someone feel there in pain in the 1st place? When there is no pain at all and it actually is in the brain? Like me I live in Chronic pain pretty much everyday but it shows up on an MRI ,besides my fibromyalgia. My son is 15 and most of his life he's seen my pain 10 years out of 15..and I often wonder if it's like this young man's story? +TheDoctors

      Jessica Agee Im guessing the first time it happened, he actually had cramps/spasms after the baseball game and that triggerred it.

      @amchthompson 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jessica I immediately thought about my fibromyalgia too. I think they may have used something called biofeedback but I'm not sure. My uncle who had severe back pain was able to stop taking rx pain meds after doing many sessions of biofeedback. Something else that comes to mind is phantom pains in relation to amputations. I have a lot of googling to do .

      Chronic regional pain syndrome? Also called reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Also, phantom pain after amputation, if I remember correctly, is in this category

    It's so normal to missing the point here. Every pain it's real. We used to think that the body gets damage and that's why we' feel pain. But ended the the other way around we feel pain because the brain feels that we are in danger. As someone that used to suffer from a lot of crónic pain I'm almost free thanks to sarno. Alan and many other. This si real was never in my head al pain and symptoms are real. I still have a straight neck I still have hipermoviles joints. I still have a scoliosis in my spine. Bu I don't have pain anymore. Or at least cronic pain. It's hard to believe at first. But this guy are opening a door for a lot of people like me who thought that were doom. I don't do any kind of stretch anymore or take some time the he pc it's funny cause only talk about this it's making my hand hurts but that's how neuropathways works. You use them you feel them. If the guy there feels some pain when he was there was because everyone was talking about it it's so easy to feel unsafe in that situation and mostly likely it's hay his neruolastic nosing gots flare up. This neruoplastic pain it's permanent. But doesn't men's that you have to experience all the time. Wee can unlearn this neurons till the point that they are un active most of the time. And some girl to tkem they will flare up ones more. But with his tools will be more easy to turn then off. And most importantly it's free.

    When you have pain that get's worse after the initial cause because of incorrect signals from your brain, the medical term for that is reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Anticonvulsant medications such as clonazepam and gabapentin can assist the rehabilitation.

    this notion of chronic pain as psychological may apply to some people, *but it's detrimental if applied to everyone.* i can't count how many times i've been told "it's all in your head" despite having objective evidence that you can see, hear and feel to prove that notion wrong.
    like oh sure it's all in my head, then why the hell can i bend my thumb forwards into my wrist, why does one of my ankles bend inwards and make it horrible to walk, why can i dislocate my hip on command??? and i don't know about you but dislocating your joints isn't exactly a nice feeling, and laxity of the tendons between them causes them to scrape and rub together, creating symptoms of arthritis.
    that is NOT "all in my head", it's visible, but it's still denied because if this notion that it could be purely psychological which is brought on by the assumption that i "don't look sick enough". so don't pander to stuff like this.

      Jax C you sound like you have Ehlers Danlos and in that case the pain is caused by repeated injuries due to the joints being unstable, coupled with the body’s nervous system becoming hyper-sensitised due to the constant inflammation that causes. That’s how it was explained to me anyway.
      And yes, as someone who was treated like it was all in my head for 30 years (from age 3 when I was first taken to the doctors because I was limping and laying awake at nights crying in pain, until I finally found the right specialist to diagnose me at age 33, by which time I was mostly bed bound) I can completely contest to how much damage that attitude can do. I am completely unable to connect to my body’s symptoms and needs in order to effectively manage my condition because of all that was said and done in those 30 years and also suffer PTSD on top of the physical conditions. Doctors need to learn the ability to say ‘I admit this is outside of my expertise’ rather than blaming the patient when they can’t find the cause.

    What is pain ? Do dead people suffer pain if we punch them but heir body got a real beating ! Right ? So it means pain is processed by brain, bcz dead peopl dont have functioning brain so they dont feel pain. Pain is caused when our brains feel danger! Sometimes when we are overly stressed and tensed Brain creats fear and false danger signals, so when we remain in fear cycle some get depression, some get anxieties, some get fast heart beats, some get diseases some get sweats, some get nausea and ofcourse some get chronic pain. Teach your brain you are safe pain will not matter.

    That social worker seems to be full of baloney. I don't believe the pain was created as a figment of his imagination. If the pain is real, there is a physical cause that is real. I would assume most likely the nerves in his lower back and side were processing impulses that caused the surrounding muscles to go into spasm, this is not uncommon. Muscle relaxants such as Metaxalone offer a lot of relief from these attacks.
