25str perk works for both heavy and light attacks for the bow ,as both are coded as "light attacks" ,after extensive testing ,the difference between 15int and 150int is around 300 ..... so basically with a headshot on a dummy ,u would do 8000 without int and 8300 with int ,test it again and let me know if u get different results.
Correct from my understanding I prefer the str as I run spear mostly with bolt caster
i tested 25str ,381dex, 200con, did almost the same 10k+ headshot damage on dummy. the 100 int and 150 int bonus may trigger the empower cap.
@@johnnycheng8065 150int is too much of an investment for too little return ,it aint worth it.

I am running the same setup as this one atm. I do notice it doesn't do many crits. In pve it's beast but in pvp I notice a lot of people have a lot of resistance I figured. The damage either meh or insane to someone against no resistance.
I just went to flurry last night and while I've used it prior I used it with a different mindset and basically went rapier anytime I could close that gap to great success with finish instead of omni evade a rapier with backstab / rogue / finish flurry on gloves just devastating pressure you can put on someone.
Otherwise 500 dex syncretic is the play.
Is 500 dex even worth it?
i always used rapid shot, great inv pve and pvp
50 str is bugged, lightning harnessing is like what 5% extra dmg, ur better off running shirking heals in any instance, but in war sure harnessing is cool.
Leeching flurry is indeed slept on, i simply use omni evade cuz i am used to it, might try out flurry again tho

Just like you, I distributed the attributes and the damage of the bow turned out to be the same as yours. Why do I get 3k-4k damage when shooting at a dummy with a strong attack?

Curious what your thought are on a different type of protection vs. the health perk. Seems like health is not a big a deal being ranged.
Health on range is only good if you full commit to it

Hate how still you stand during rapid. In opr you can get melted in the time it takes to get off all 3 shots.
only use the first 2 shots after a heavy attack or light (thank me later)
Never use third shot
Learn to cancel your rapids or use it to combo. It’s my fave bow perk

I tried that route but with runeglass it's 2 instead of 2.5 (total 17.5)
You can go the way if you wanted, I just don't take much damage to other elements on my sever, but again, everywhere is different.

bow is so weak atm its a joke, video highlights is vs bad players, vs good players you do very little damage.

This is the complete opposite of what u said in a video released around same time talking bout rapid shot being shit coz it is basically just basic attacks and how dots are the way to go and basically all the skills in the bow tree are useless....
Best builds change update to update.
DoTs are ok, but direct damage is the only thing keeping bow alive currently.
Rain and arrow+ poison shot does NOTHING to a heavy armor player.
Rapid shot (with the perk) is the only thing helping bow DPS right now. (And heavy attacks)

Unfortunately PVP in New World is broken, each Outpost Run you waste 20 - 40 min doing 400 to 6k damage every second and the people just heal to full health without healer in 3 seconds.... It's nearly impossible to solo a good player, to kill weaker players you need tons of DoT and to hope they don't have a healer around. I literally have Neverending battles in PVP I can't kill the guy and the guy cannot kill me, we just wait for one side to win or we walk away and join group fights hoping for random kills...
it is boring as fuck
