Norfolk & Western 611: The Return To Mainline Steam (4K) [Part 1]

Hello and welcome back to Dropped Signal. Today's video is a special one for me. This video will be split amongst two parts. The reason for this is quite simple. During the last weekend of October 2023, the 611 had mechanical issues after the Friday excursions. With the 611 not running on Saturday, me and my friends ventured up to Cumberland Maryland to film 1309. That footage of 1309 will come out as a separate video.
On Friday October 27th and Sunday October 29th, I would join many friends of mine to chase the Norfolk & Western 611. Throughout the fall months of 2023, the N&W 611 returned to mainline Steam. During October and November, the N&W 611 partook in excursions from Goshen Virginia to Staunton Virginia. Railfans all over the world, ventured out to witness the Queen of Steam's return to Main Line Steam Operations.
Now to discuss the elephant in the room, The N&W 611 suffered a mechanical issue on Friday night. This issue would have the 611 out of service for the Saturday operations. With that being said, me and my friends decided to head to Cumberland, Maryland to film the 1309. As I stated above, the 1309 will be a separate video with no correlation to this one or part two. Part 2 will contain all of the footage on the Sunday excursions. All the footage in this video was filmed on October 27th, however the intro was filmed on the 29th.

At the moment I don't have anything completely planned for 2102. With the possibility of me grabbing a job in a Railroad, and having 2816 to film, I don't want to promise anything. I do want to film out on the Reading this year though.
