- The periodical rise and fall of the sea level, once or twice a day, mainly due to the attraction of the sun and the moon, is called a tide. The moon’s gravitational pull to a great extent and to a lesser extent the sun’s gravitational pull, are the major causes for the occurrence of tides.
Another factor is centrifugal force which acts opposite to gravitational pull of earth. Tides occur due to a balance between all these forces.
In this video we will discuss
1. Movement of Oceanic water
2. Vertical movement
3. Tides
4. Characteristics
5. Spring Tide
6. Neap Tide
7. Concepts related to Tides

My question is why during the summer, especially at the solstice, is the day time low tide much more extreme than the night time low? It's like this every year. And in winter it's the reverse, the night time low tide is more extreme than the day time low tide. My guess is that it has to do something with how the earth's axis angle dips us into the tidal bulges. I don't think it matters, but I am referring to the northern hemisphere summer/winter.
sir earth rotate thats why centrifugal fore is their
Sir, (3rd Jan = my birthday)🔥
Sir Plz bring a video on Pandora Papers as well!
Sir, how many times neap tide occurs in every month...
🎉🎉
❤❤❤
Moon has gravity??
Yes it has, but much weaker than Earth
Every body in a space which has a mass must have a gravity
If this is important to you please redo it with someone whose speech can be understood. Bad video.
Thank you sir
