ive been saying this for a long time that 2k 1v1s should be one possession its the most skill based version of 1v1s and combats paint mashing and post scoring now it doesnt solve the problem but it gets rid of the whole rebound cheese completely for a billion dollar company and the biggest basketball game that is "realistic" to not the one type of 1v1 mode that ACTUAL NBA players use whether their doing 1v1s or doing drills its just honestly horrible and shows how lazy the game is. Ive been around Roblox basketball games and THOSE GAMES HAVE ONE POSSESION BEFORE 2K and they have it as the base standard for park and matchmaking. These same Roblox games have a fully customizable my court where each specific item like the rims sections of the nets the glass the court floor the other side of the court floor etc can change in material and color and you can place custom image banners around your mycourt ALSO their mycourt game systems are also just better you can start a game with as many people above 2 as you want unbalanced teams full control (who the fuck gives a shit about balanced teams in my court like what if i wanna 2v1 my friends and just have fun man its a fucking video game shit doesnt make sense) you can change the shot clock from 12 to 16 to 24 to 100 to 1000 you can change the score limit from 12 to 16 to 21 to 30 to 50 to 100 or you could just dick around do what you want. my point is the problem with 2k is its lazyness and of course their going to be lazy they do the same shit every year and it works so of course they wont put passion into the game its the biggest basketball game.

I went on a 15 game winning streak then all of a sudden I started only getting 7'2 300lb 99 block 96 post control 98 strength I dont mind facing bigs cuz I'ma big that can score in the perimeter and Post but it doesn't matter if I have a 95 strength if they are 7'2 300lbs its almost its almost always a auto back down no matter how much i push back
Bro I tell you what, once me and my mate were doing two’s in the proving grounds and I got matched up with a 64 ovr 7’3 (his highest attribute was a 73 strength) and I kid you not, all my matchup had to do was hold right trigger and walk to the key and then make some contested layup, which he ends up doing. The crazy thing is that I was a 92 ovr 6’9 with silver paint patroller/ post lockdown and had a 7’0 wingspan and an 82 strength. Dosent matter tho, my matchup got 14 points all from making contested close close shots and won the game with a contested close layup against perfect block timing. Why make good gameplay fundamentals when you earn billions on it already 🤷♂️
You know what's so funny about 2k today I got on 2K 23 next gen and couldn't get a game I know it's crazy that's a old game but then I got on current gen and I was able to get some games in a 1V 1 ship thing it is so toxic in there too it's just rim running people get bailed out but then I went on the 11th game with my nephew❤
