As a support main I felt my soul leave my body seeing the 'NEED HEALING' ping while actively running away FROM THE HEALER.
I had that last night. My genji was running away from me spamming “need healing” while never even turning around to see that I’m chasing him. Then says “support diff” at the end of the game. You can’t make this shit up.
ITS A SUPPORT NOT A HEALER and by the way that Ilari cant shot/aim a gun, thats pathetic, she should go play damage role first

It’s either I am there in .5 seconds or I’m pulling them in a kid leash
to be fair he did need to get to cart to get overtime or they lose, but the spamming was not needed.
I play any role now since I stopped playing comp, but half the time the I need healing ping is to tell where your healers where you are, and they may run away from the said healer because it's not safe. Of course you'll always get those annoying people, but most of the time it's not.
That first one hurts for 2 reasons:
- Teammate running from healer at 1hp
- Their entire team is dying because they're tunnel visioned on the Doomfist
The game was literally at overtime, if the doomfist stopped and waited, the game would be lost either way. Running and spamming for heals (so they maybe get healed on the way) was the only viable tactic here.

Okay it doesn’t help MUCH, but flats does miss the fact the soldier also used his biotic healing, so he’s getting healed passively by bio field, is boosted by ana nade, heating healed by a kiriko in kitsune rush AND a scoped in Ana, thats some of the highest concentrated healing he could be getting, I’m genuinely not suprised the soldier lived

when the doom is spamming "i need healing" for the whole clip while using every movement ability to get further away from the supports, even going up the stairs putting a wall between himself and the supports to go on a path that takes longer to get to the point flats is like "its console qp dude calm down" but then complains about every opportunity the illari missed to get the most out of her hero, a low rank console player getting tunnel versioned on healing a crit tank player that needs to contest the point in ot and is spamming "i need healing" is nowhere near as bad of a mistake as spamming "i need healing" while running away from your support for 20 seconds, this has to be deliberate rage bate interaction farming no way a gm player thinks the illari was the only one to criticise here lol

So how would she know to take another route and even if she did, doom was still running and if she dropped her pylon it would’ve been on cool down because the doom is jumping all over the map like a cricket. 💀

Just a correction for the Genji failing to kill Bastion. He was being healed by just an Iliari, there was no Lifeweaver. The LW was on the Genji's team, the other support on the enemy team was a Mercy pocketing the Ashe. Still, turret form damage reduction + Iliari 120 HP/s beam and pylon outdoes Dragonblade. He wasn't gripped by a LW, I think he got blasted back by his own grenade, though I don't know how it was that far.

It's quick play, sure, but don't spam for heals and then do everything you can to not get heals. I play ball and I'm either standing still between fights to give supports ult charge or grabbing health packs constantly, not asking for heals and running away.
Well he was trying to touch and they could've taken the easier way or throw their pylon the spamming is annoying tho 😭

Need healing until you are healed at any rank above diamond. You also will often find people press hello when they respawn let their team hear them respawn.

if i was the Ilari in the first clip i would have been like 'go find a health pack' and left the Doom to go heal my other teammates. if they got mad at me for it oh well, i'm not going to chase you down because you're purposefully running away from me. and the fact that it's QP doesn't matter, the Doom was spamming 'I need healing' while actively running away from their healer instead of TO their healer.
They had no choice. Idk if you can read but the timer was at less than 10 seconds, and nobody was near point. He waited as long as possible to get heals from an illari that had zero game sense before running to point. Him spamming need healing was to get the supports attention to focus him and run to point, since neither DPS would have been able.
The doom made the right call. The illari had no brain to notice it and then blamed doom on their own mistakes. If the illari was you, and you did what you said, you would've instantly lost the game due to the inability to understand what was going on.
Also there like three health packs soon could’ve gotten. The mega by the stairs. The mini by the shops in the middle (where the cart was I believe), and the mega in the middle of the side route.
If you’re a dive tank, you should utilize health packs like flank dps.

@@thewalnutbucketby the time the doom reached the stairs, there was 10 seconds. With illari’s beam healing, he could have been around 3/4 full with plenty of time to touch had he waited by the bridge.
With doomfist having incredible mobility, he could have reached the little overpass on the other side, dropped down to intercept, and had his cooldowns go off cooldown soon after.
If either punch or slam was on cooldown at the bridge, they would have been available had the dude sat still for a second to get healed.
The illari definitely shouldn’t have chased him around the map, but it was mostly the doom’s fault. Had either of them thought for half a second, touching was possible.

#1: Ignoring the doom
#2: focus on teammates
#3: backtrack and use mobility to meet him on the ledge
#4: Throw pylon in front of him
#5: Go to point
#6: Do ANYTHING besides chasing. When the support was chasing the doom, there was 1 less support helping the team on point (ITS ALMOST OVERTIME)

In the least disrespectful way possible I think flats plays as such a high level consistently that he can't fathom the world of quick play seriousness.
Explanation: just because the mode is built to be no consequence doesn't mean people are ok with losing. Seriously tho this is a support problem we deal with all the time it's just hella annoying in any gamemode. If it gonna spam heals at least confirm your healers location first so you don't run from them.

It’s not entirely the Illari’s fault, but she definitely made mistakes. For some reason she blindly chased the Doom in the least practical way and tunnel visioned on him instead of going to point with 10 seconds on the clock. The Doom spamming heals while running is def annoying, but at that point just let him go and focus on the rest of the team. She walked past her crit Reaper to go on a goose hunt for the Doom
Believe it or not not everybody sees spamming "I need healing" as intentionally being annoying. If the doom is int-ing that's on him. Flats' point was not to be frustrated about things you can't change.

A sizeable section of OW2 players mainly play quick play and they DO take it seriously. As an OG player I don't really get it but it is definitely a thing. I suppose it's people that want to play the game seriously but have too much anxiety or something to play ranked.
Quick play is a lot less toxic, thats why most people chose to play it. The doom also took the game seriously and touched the point in overtime, there was literally no time to wait for heals.
I play qp and mystery because it's way less toxic. I still like to win. I maybe don't try as hard as comp, but sometimes the other team is being real sweaty and I make a change to shut them down. Like if I'm on hog and they go ana, zen, bastion for example I'm probably gonna switch to sigma. But I'm also not gonna do much outside of major counter pick type stuff
some people have things going on and mainly dont have time to play rank, rank is a commitment you spend at least 1 hour just for 1 match mostly spent on queue times alone it becomes drasticly longer the higher you are so the time spent on queue is detrimental, there are players who have more free time on rank but those who are busy but want to improve on a game they have fun dont have a option its mainly rank players who are out of touch on the subject matter as its the only thing they play.
If you were given an option to spend 1 hour of queue times just for one match or have 15 matches of qp what would you choose.
I only play qp because they hide your rank going up and down. I've tried playing ranked but got anxious everytime i won or lost cause like the game hide how much you climb and drop.

I don't think flats was commenting on the usefulness of the med kits or the value in knowing their locations. I think he meant that "know where the med kits are" is kind of a bad tip because basically every player above bronze should know where all the med kits are. it's common knowledge, why make a vid about it? etc
@@pasta-pardner Because maybes it's not a common knowledge, it takes time to play on every map and learn all their medpack locations, so maybe making a video would help a lot of people.

I like flats, i dont like how he treats low elo players like a lesser lifeform. He says to not take qp serious and then gets mad when low elo players dont think hard. He needs to relaise that low elo players dont think like he does, they dont have the same gamesense he has after playing for many years. I always hated his spectating bronze series for that, but this video just made me lose a bit of respect for him; he's just way more negative than positive, and id rather not have to view this game more negatively than i already do.

“It’s quickplay” is the most nonsensical rationale for why a team focused, objective-based game should be thrown. For those that play to win, regardless of quickplay or comp, you shouldn’t discourage competitive spirit.

Ngl that Doom did it for the content. Chasm has posted videos of him in t500 lobbies trolling his supports like that. At that point, the doom probably assumed the match was lost and didn't care so decided to troll for the heck of it. It was just qp and the last few seconds of it at that.

Unpopular Opinion: I really like Push, it’s probably my favorite game mode.
However I attribute this to me being a Hamter main, and I feel like because of how big push maps feel, that they really allow me to shine and have fun

Something i learnt that kept me from going insane as a support main. Don’t chase Doom and Hammond, especially if they’re spamming “i need healing” across the map. These two heroes, especially hammond you shouldn’t chase them because they have a lot of mobility and Ball should know where the health packs. I know this might trigger a lot of people and that’s fine because i'm not a high level player and I don’t want to climb so i just have fun playing but genuinely I don’t chase doom and Ball. If they’re across the map, in the enemy spawn spamming heal and running away from me that’s their problem. At least if you need healing come closer and don’t let the support go into the enemy team to heal you and die in the process and let the whole team die.
Anyway, if it’s QP and people are spamming healing and running... well sucks for you, i'm not healing you 😂
I love that he sees a full charge zarya absolutely melt, for a solid 6 seconds, _(which is how long all of this took)_ a soldier pocketed by two supports, with kitsune and bio nade, and Flat is like "yeah, that's kinda reasonable, he coulda killed him if he played right."
and then we switch to the Cass, who contributed 4 body shots and a headshot in that time, and he's like, "uh... ok..."
and then we switch to the bap, who contributed like 12-15 body shots and a couple headshots, so there was 3 heroes all looking at a soldier *_that was standing still_* and turning him into swiss cheese
In total, that soldier, a 200 hp hero, ate approximately 1764 points of damage, enough to kill him about 8 times over, and we finally arrive at the poster's original conclusion, which is that this was some bullshit.

Let me tell you why she called Lifeweaver a off support.
It's because every single fing support can do his job better. People sometimes say "Oh I healbot so my other support can focus on damage" they 100% don't need you to do that. Baptiste could give a damn less if your giving him "More room to damage"
That charge mechanic it's bad but people only see the "Bad" parts of it in a way thats convient to them combined with his low damage. Bu the time you charge up that heal I'd have healed the entire team 5 times over.
And it's not about weather he does enough damage or healing he's designed in such a way that you get a lot of "Indirect" benefits from doing damage outside of just "Kill kill kill" 1. You don't slow by holding your healing to long 2. You don't cannibalize your other support (you have no idea how important this is). You don't run out of ammo. 3. You "Help" kill targets, 4. You build your own ult faster when there's no one to heal (and it makes up for you jot cannibalizing your other support).
They didn't have "Feeding the enemy supports" ult charge in mind when they designed him. This has never gotten in my way tbh, I guess they just thought people would get there ult regardless which... I mean yes
It's supposed to be a "Weakness" but the damage is so low why would he need a weakness? It's all the OTHER things you get from doing damage and those benefits that are supposed to be the trade off.
But like you get rewarded sooo much more for just playing the hero correctly that it's a none factor.
Most people don't "Win with lifeweaver" because there legitmeatly "Winning with lifeweaver", team diffs, your a good shot caller, your mirroring another healbot lifeweaver.
People say "there's no reason to pick weaver over another support" besides maybe grip but for most situations lamp and suzu exist.
If I wanted a "Main support" I'd pick legitmeatly anyone else. The best way to describe lifeweaver is

The worst part is because I do damage as lifeweaver and know just how capable of of actually taking lives, when Im on tank I watch people my lifeweaver could of 100% kill/helped me kill just stroll away like la la la la la la MFA YOU HAVE A GUN! AND THEY WERE IN YOUR RANGE! (his guns better close range).
If you spend the entire game in fear that someones gonna go from max hp to 25 pick a support that fixes that issue while also allowing you to play a fps game if your not capable of playing lifeweaver that way.
I think that the doom was just trying to put the game into overtime. If he had waited to be healed, he might not have made it. He put the objective before himself and hoped that the team would follow up.
The thing is it's quick play but then they spam heals and then flame you for not being a pocket to them. It's not fun dealing with stupid stuff like that.

Nah it’s not my job to chase after someone spamming I need healing and constantly LOSing. It actually also puts me in danger. Can’t tell you how many times I died playing tag with someone making themselves impossible to heal.

I like Push, but I think the real reason medal ranks don't like it is because they don't like grouping up, and Push more-so than other game-modes (except the new Flash-Point) requires grouping up

My argument for “it’s quick play” is that the new leave game system works for quick play, if I’m not having fun in a qp I want to leave. But the new leave system doesn’t allow that
