Went there with my dad in 1986. Great memories. RIP Daddy.
I can not believe there is inside footage of this wonderful place. It was amazing as a kid, I would be in there for hours. Thank you for posting.
Going to the Funhouse where you had to have stockingfeet was my favourite amusement in Blackpool. It's such a shame that it was destroyed either accidentally or deliberately years ago, and not rebuilt. Valhalla water ride was built on the site by 2000.
me too with our kid RIP Mark

Oh my word. thank you for uploading this. i echo what so many others have already said but as a kid, The Funhouse was just a marvelous experience and deeply etched memories into the fabric of our childhoods! I went sometime around 1988 and that was back in the days when we'd get a coach with the PTA on a school night, see the illuminations and finish in the pleasurebeach... Noahs Ark also missed!!! Thanks so much.
Wow this took me back. Amazing to watch and remember the years when we were young. Thanks for uploading 😀
Knew I hadnt dreamt this place existed! I got stuck in that tunnel when I was about 4 or 5 and ended up with burnt ankles! One of my earliest memories.
What a magical place it was. Unlike the rides on the main Pleasure Beach you could stay in there for hours, all day if you wanted. Last went in September '91 with my own kids just a few months before the fire. They loved it too. Wonderful, wonderful memories.
Friction burns from the slides. Grandma lived in Blackpool very sad it burned down.
Blimey it would never be allowed now. Those hanging barrels could knock you unconscious if you got your timing wrong! Brilliant valuable footage.
Happy memories from much happier times. Thank you for posting.
Footage from inside the Funhouse seems to be very hard to find. Spent many hours in here on holidays in the late 80s and was mortified when it burned down. Thanks for sharing. You have coloured in some forgotten memories of mine :-)
used to love going here. Best memory was what we called the mixing bowl, where you had to see how long you could sit on the green bit in the middle before flying off
thank you so much for this it brought back somany great memories loved that place so sad it gone
Great upload, thanks! That revived memories I didn't know I had.
Happy days, I'm 56 now and went to this funhouse every weekend in the summer back then. The orange squash was 12p. It was very convenient that the laughing clown outside was in for repair when the fire happened, just saying
Amazing memories. Thanks.
Memories unlocked. Thank you 😊
cheers for posting, so many memories of this place.
I'd luv to go on that fun house. But It's sadly demolished in the 90's. :( Plus I haven't been Blackpool in my life until summer 2008. August 2008 was my 1st trip to Blackpool. When I just turned 19. :)
such memorys had such a great time there
Fond memories of that. I loved the centrifuge!
Thanks, use to love the funhouse.
The funnest place I went as a kid, lots of friction burns and stories from the centrifuge etc :) thanks
Mum& dad used to leave me in here for hours whilst they went on a booze session , Great times had here.
yes We spent the whole day there 25D entrance fee..back in the day..
That's what my parents done as well. I loved it 😅
I have vague memories of going in there many years ago ( I'm 43 now ).
My girlfriend and I used to love the Funhouse before it burned down. Lots of smelly feet because you had to take your shoes off.
amazing place it needs to come back
i remember this place in the 60,s spent many hours in this place my fav was the record next to the barrel and all for 2/6 pence great memories
Stockingfeet fun lost when it was destroyed by fire and not rebuilt. My favourite amusement in Blackpool.
Getting the grown-ups to cough up half-a-crown wasn't easy, though.
For some reason this place just popped into my head and I was telling my wife about it, she didnt believe me when I told her it was a death trap! 😂 Brilliant footage, brings back a lot of memories from my childhood. ❤ BPL
We used to have hr's of fun in there back in the 70's.
Seems this is about the only footage that exists from inside the funhouse. Sad.
Just posted this link on FB - thanks - would love just one more day in here
Ahh sweet memories, back in the early mid sixties I was a part of the south shore gang. In the summer I was there every weekend. The laughing clown was really creepy. Anyone remember Angelo who had the little cafeteria in there?
04:32 that slide looks so awesome
It was a sheer drop for about 12', scary as if you were scared of heights like me
MY GOODNESS!HAS IT GONE OR WERE YOU TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT BURNED DOWN BUT WAS REBUILT.I AM 65 YO AND PROBABLY FIRST VISITED BLACKPOOL WHEN I WAS 6YO.WHEN I WAS 11 YO IN THE FUN HOUSE TUNES LIKE WALK DON'T RUN AND WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO SPINNED ROUND IN MY HEAD AS I WAS SPINNING ROUND IN THE SOCIAL MIXER.
Oh this looks like it was good fun!I remember some other funhouse type thing with a revolving barrel.but not this one.BPB needs something fun like this again but Health and Safety wouldn't allow it.
I spent many a happy afternoon in there :)
Aww it shut down when I was born, looked so fun!
Yeah I went here all the time when on holiday😅 This is Peabodys correct? In The Winter Gardens?
Very similar but this was at blackpool pleasure beach where valhalla is now.
I loved peabodies could never get me on the monster drop slide.
Was also jungle Jim's in Blackpool tower.
Burnt down in 1991.
I was about 7 when this burnt down I remember breaking my heart about it 😢😢
A great place to spend a couple of hours. The Health & Safety police would have a fit these days !!
loved the fun house no health n safety big slides the barrel we tumbled up side down in. clinging on to the pole record player in the middle fab..
What year was, I'm guessing mid-80s ? (The Madonna song playing in the background is a clue.)
That's "Into the Groove", so it's 1984 at the earliest
@thomaschristopher1513 I would have been here that year lol.
3:47 in the background Wtf is that?
Looks like some kind of semi transparent mesh wall, so the children behind look shadowy as they run past.
I think that was a inflatable maze
Hank Marvin and Cliff Richard, not sure who the 3rd one is tho 🤔
I wasn’t born then I with I colluded see it
How old is this?
Happy memories 😃
