    Very nice. Do you know what the weight capacity of this switchback is on top of it? And can the tie down cleats be put all around it like on the HD, and can it still open and fold fully with those on their? Thanks. I'm going round and round about getting a Raptor or a Platinum Plus, customizing a bit after, and putting either the HD or Switchback on the one I get. But I want the hybrid Powerboost engine, so if in 2025 that becomes available on the Tremor I would seriously consider the Tremor instead. Yours looks awesome!

    Nice review I’ve been looking into this for months now. Still haven’t figured out why they didn’t opt to use the box link system for a Ford install. -Mike: ‘19 Raptor.

    With mine I didn't care for the rear locking clamps so I replaced them with 1/4 inch Cargo Smart locking anti rattle D rings (#6553) and Strapinno 1 inch x 2 and 1/2 feet retractable ratchet straps. Now I can control how tight the panel is held down using the ratchet straps and the d rings are not in the way when I fold the panels back.

      Interesting, do you have a video you can share of your setup? The link in your comment didnt seem to work for me.

      @@korono89 I don't have a video but I'll see if I can take some pictures this afternoon. The 6553 is the part number of the D rings I used.

    Nice review--thanks for posting! Have you driven with it folded up yet? Just wondering if the top would get scuffed from being in contact while driving folded.

      Yes but not a ton. When its strapped down its pretty solid and I dont see it shift around or anything when driving with it folded. The coating on the cover is pretty hardcore, I would surprised if it scuffed; no signs of it yet.

    I'm a new F150 owner and waffling on buying one of these. Did it really take 5 weeks?

      I checked the emails from my order and it was longer. Ordered 3/2 delivered 4/25

    How watertight is it?

    • @korono89
      @korono89  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ive tested it at the car wash by spraying around the seal and the inside has stayed completely dry. Also, during the winter there were multiple snow days and I found no water inside after the snow on the cover had melted.

      @@korono89 Thank you for your reply. I currently have a Truck Covers USA that has been nothing but trouble in a heavy rain climate, so hoping to switch it if I can resell it for an OK price, not to many 6.5 beds out there though, switchback seems like the move. How doable is it to remove when I need to use the whole bed btw?

    • @korono89
      @korono89  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@---tx9xx less than 10 min. There is only the 4 clamps that need to be removed. Would probably want a second set of hands to make sure no accidental damage happens when trying to move the folded cover off the bed after detaching it.
