Fantastic! Wonderful to see you again. I was worried you were in a low place, or something had happened. Very happy to know you're at least well. Looking forward to more when you can!
GREAT to see you back! Was getting tired of watching only repairs of old radios, computers, old TV's, etc. Still can't believe they're able to make those chips sooooooo small with all those little solder balls! It absolutely boggles my mind!
Can concur on that bottom shield... I nearly completely botched up an XR for data recovery because for some reason I thought I was working on an 8+ and forgot that the shield was a nightmare from hell ( makes that iP6 bottom shield seem like a nice day in the park ). I found had to wick off the solder and then use an Xacto to pop off the shield tongues ... but that damned middle spine :(
Man. Ive missed your vids something fierce. With everything going on trying to replicate your skill level is a great distraction. Thank you thank you for coming back! I ordered a microscope so i can get serious with chip repair. In Haven’t even set it up ,because like you, just focused on work and not people. For me this is a hobby/extra cash endeavour I work on much larger electronics for real life work!
Welcome back Jason, Glad to enjoy your video, my honest answer you are the best neat and clean technician at iPhone repair industry, every time I learn good thing from you
Hello sir , awesome to see you back in action , I email you a couple of times about a ticket I had created about the same time of that post of the xr cpu refollow but it make me fill better I ah e a great teacher back in TH-cam Jason always a pleasure sir ! Best of wishes to you and the family
I can understand when you get very busy, and thank you for your update video here. I love watching your video and learning something when it comes to repair.
I was literally worried thinking you stop TH-cam i have learnt lots of things from you. You inspire me to be just like you one day thanks for everything
Wow haven't watched one of your videos in over a year. This one was awesome, especially describing what you're doing and why. And what to pay attention to as to not overheat the board.
It’s a change I made with noise cancellation since I’m working next to a larger air conditioner now. I didn’t mean for it to cut out the sound of the tools though. I’m going to dial it back a bit because I think it was better before. Thanks :-)
I have the same model of iPhone here. Going to upgrade, but if was going to keep this one, i would have send it to you had I incounterted a problem. Anothere really good video. Thank you for showing us a little more of the plate install. Thumbs up on this video!!
your videos are amazing! FOR REAL. the only thing I wish is that in the description of your videos you also list temp and flow for hot air and soldering iron
Those shields are the worst. I’ve used the low melt approach and it’s a gamble whether components underneath are affected by the time it comes off. Lately I’ve just been cutting it off along the edges where the solder is. If careful can easily solder it back on after. Less headache lol
@sts telecom good to see you back love the vids for the next xr/iphone you get in where you gotta remove the shield can you show us the cutting method be nice to see the difference and your opinion on both methods keep up the great work
