Hey everyone! Sorry for the horrific audio in some scenes of this video. I made some changes and screwed things up but didn't notice until I had recorded this entire video. I was faced with trashing the video, lip-syncing audio or posting it as-is. I have posted it as-is and have done my best with the audio! 🙂
Jason, i love you. Thanks for putting my link under your video and mentioning me in the video. This really is one of the nicest things which happened to me ever in this microsoldering game. I got a big smile on my face :). I really appreciate this !
da gusto que se conozcan yo te sigo ben desde mexico y tambien a jason a el me lo recomendo edgaryoreparo igual que te recomendo a ti jason son unos crack los 3 saludos de mexico
Love to see Jason’s video. Every second is literally an electronic university worth time. Only TH-camr who gives credits to other technicians. Transparent like a glass. God bless you and keep up the good work Jason n pls upload some videos cos it means a lot to many like me.
Plot twist conspiracy theory - it's not the customer's original board. Original board was fixed and the store swapped it to sell off ( okay, that depends on if they knew the guys' AppleID/Passwd :D ) Also, I'll bet that's B6000 glue holding the sticker down :)
Thanks for Your recommendation of RESQ , I`m very delighted that somebody from my home country Germany is able to perform such professional iPhone repairs as well , and even better that he explains every step in his videos twice (German / English) - when will You start to do the same ? 😉 (just kidding)
👍👍As Always a good video, I see a lot of shop here saying that they can repair phones, When they come to me they are already far to gone it sad knowing that it could have been fixed
It's good to see you not rip shreds into another tech afterall how else does a tech learn? Obviously not with a board that belongs to a customer with their data but practice on dead boards is preferred. Sometimes an easy job can turn into a nightmare for no obvious reason but with practice comes skill and precision in using equipment and training your brain. We all make mistakes for how else do we learn not to make them? Happy New Year and continued success to you.
It’s no trouble! I’m using Ultimate Client Manager. I don’t think it has been updated or supported for a really long time though. codecanyon.net/item/ultimate-client-manager-pro/2621629
Great information I have a question if I want to learn I know how to fix phone but I want to learn more re soldering skills and know how to do more stuff how I can do that and what is the process and if you send me all the details if I want to get admission or something online classs ? I really appreciate if you reply me
I love your videos and they are super helpful! Do you have any Recommendations for Cheap beginner tools like: A soldering Iron. A Multimeter. A Power bench supply. A Oscilloscope. As to start out Is expensive and with not knowing what to buy or whats good enough is even harder. Any tips or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for your great Content. Happy New Year!! Nicky
hey steve rahim here, i cut the ram corner or grind it off or i puncture the ram without damageing it to remove the gas in the middle.340/40, big nozzle you can replace the ram on its own. easy job
what do you think could have gone wrong in a iphone xs max, if i accidentally connected the bench power supply set to 18v. It has 0 amp draw and nothing gets hot cannot visibly see anything blown and the 3.8v voltage is present in and after trister.
I know nothing - NOTHING - about what you do. If the word “iPhone” didn’t come from your mouth, I would have no idea what you were even working on. All this to say it is STILL insanely fascinating. And I definitely need a “Ball Squeezage” t-shirt.
You missed out adding another cameo character at the beginning, sunglasses, "Deal with it" shirt, "There's bad audio here, deal with it." Real shame some shops like to learn on other people's boards...
I had a 6 plus that charge port was replaced by shop charge me $115 failed a week later my son changed it and still works would too have loved you repair it first like the videos
Prior rework, crack can be drop. But not the other. A swap and new ram ✅ Ordered mijing Z21, so time to practice cpu work on icloud locked phones. Btw, keep vids comming (again). Learned all I know from you. So, time to level up? Wanna see some cpu jobs now ;)
While so many others are using Amtech flux, why have you chosen chipquick. I live in Canada and we can't affordably get Amtech, but chip quick is readily available. I'm wondering if you have experience with both and could speak on how they compare. Also can you speak on why you use the 291 rather than 191 or 491 or 591?
I have seen this before, one stands out as it would heat up incredibly had a small crack and still fully turned on to home screen. Its ok if they are a little bloated. I do not think its happening because of technician heat but it can be what finally kills it.
I'm highly suspicious that they harvested his phone for good parts and then replaced those with junk parts (like the dead cpu) and gave it back to him saying it was not fixable. Why else would it have someone else name on it.
You really have to question why they'd put such a problematic IC behind the CPU/RAM...but I digress. Those pins are so finicky! You may very well be correct in your prediction. Been there.
I once had a motherboard release the magic smoke and it wasn't even plugged in. It released it the second I turned on the computer 1 foot away that I was also working on. I have absolutely no idea why as I was working on a laminated wood table. Maybe it was coincidence but awfully suspicious. In my 25 years of working on computers I've learned that a problem can be caused by something that doesn't even make sense as to why it would cause that issue.
A9 ram have some air between the cpu and the ram so when overheated the air blow the ram out ,if you change the ram the phone will boot according to your PSU
Hi I think the CPU (ROM) does not have an image Because overheating and it is better way to swap it with another motherboard to keep save data customer . Good Luck
When I heard thios phone was taken in for a screen issue then came back not working and was handled by scammers? first thing I thought was, swapped board. No reason why it wouldn't be, just the kind of thing a scammer would do. NOT saying this was a swapped board. A real scammer would possibly just swap the board out to keep a working board for the parts potentially.
Totaly overheated ram. This was not technicians accident. That person did not knoe waht he was doing. From easy repair dead phone. I would ask that repair shop to pay for this.
With the other name written on the board I'd bet your customer's board was switched and he ended up with the garbage board... It went from a video problem to dead while out of his hands... Coinsedense??

Always a pleasure to see you working…
Edit:: Jason, I went to his link.., he’s good but not as good as you.
04:26 - That glue is "contact adhesive" or "contact cement".
Hi Jason, that’s teflon tape on the cpu shield
Happy New Year!!
You too! So far so good but we are only 6 days in. 😳
Sorry for the off topic comment. What software are you using for ticketing? CRM? At the beginning of the video.
Best regards, Dan

hi jason, i think the last repair shop solve the no image problem but while doing that they managed to make it a no boot ... by bulging the RAM.

I would say that it is a result of heat, based on what the board looks like.
Hi Jason!
Hi! :-)
no the mail man done it thats what i always get lol
heya oh wouw not see the ram is that boling hope you will be able to get the data

Осмелюсь предположить что это произошло в результате перегрева во время ремонта этой платы

I had one recently that was visibly swollen but still worked. Sort of amazing :-)
@@ststele I know its mind boggling and incredible. Im glad you made a video about it. Haven’t seen anyone else talk about experiencing this.

Is this an Apple chip thing, because their chips seam fragile, ie, chips that crack when you sit on an iPhone, and chips popping their top with heat.
Nice!! a PRA

definitely prior rework
Fibreglass. Were they trying to build a boat to escape their work?
Thanks, Hamza.
looks like double decker cpu is shorted coz of the heat
Hi I think the CPU (ROM) does not have an image Because overheating and it is better way to swap it with another motherboard to keep save data customer . Good Luck
Rehot CPU bro. Its worth a shot.
👍
Rescue is my good friend and you too
Easy job brother just swap to cnc board and done
it looks like a plaster or bandaid
I miss you ....
Hello!
Hello!
I think the RAM is swollen because too much pron was downloaded and an _"interaction"_ happened that caused the _swelling._ 😏
liquid adhesive = gorilla snot. this entire job looks like something i might do. luckily i don't fix iphones

Hello
